Seeing all these fashion girlies wearing the latest trends online really creates some unrealistic expectations. This video is such a good reminder that in the end it's not that deep and it doesn't have to be a fashion show every day.
As a 50+ year old woman, I'm going to tell you something about Grandma-Core. Cotton sweaters, Linen pants, Natural fabrics nothing too close to the skin. That is a woman who is going through menopause or has gone through menopause and has cleared out all of the lycra, polyester, nylon, scuba, or any other non-natural breathable fabric from her wardrobe. I'm an attorney. My first hot flash happened when I was in court in a blazer and a very stylish polyester shirt dress. Rivers of sweat literally poured down my back and sides in liquid streams. I felt like I has invisibly burst into flames and nobody could see it other than the beads of sweat forming on my face and neck. I went home and stripped all of the non-breathable crap out of my wardrobe and all my shopping since then revolves around buying things I can actually wear when the hot flashes hit, even if it costs more. Nobody talks about menopause. There isn't really even much research about it. Older women are invisible even to the medical community. As younger women, please know the truth about Grandma-core. You will have to navigate it somehow yourself someday.
I am very happy for you sharing about your menopause and what it's like to need clothes to change with your body. We need more representation for older women! We will all be "older" one day and a lot of girls struggle with understanding that the clothes they wear need to change as their body changes. Can't be in our 20s forever. I'm trying to switch to more breathable fabric as well so it's nice to know that it will soon benefit me anyways!
You should start a TH-cam channel. That’s the way themes get talked more in society! Kim Kattral was very vocal about menopause and how society likes to pretend it doesn’t happens. More women should speak about their experience!
When I went to art school I saw actually the online trends like boys wearing baggy jeans and ballet core ect ect but I think people there weren’t afraid to show they’re true style :)
I totally feel like there's also a big thing that a lot of online fashion girls are from america where spring is warmer like in the UK you just can't really wear shorts in march
No fr, not from the UK but germany, and the first time I saw someone recommending short shorts for spring I was baffled (same as mini skirts/ dresses wirh no thermos as a autumn trend)
It’s still mostly girls dressed in leggings and oversized shirts or fitted jeans and tee shirts here from what I see. But I live in a very rural area so what I wear stands out so much that people recognize me while I’m out since I dress very “odd”. It’s a little embarrassing but they are generally very nice at least.
If they live in California or Arizona, yes it's warm. But where I live it's still pretty cold! Tulips and daffodils are out, but it's freezing at night!
In my not so humble opinion, the internet fashion girlies live somewhere without weather, seasons, times of day, or indoors AND outdoors existing at the same time. Outfits are all fire, but 90% of the time it's like lets style this dress - pops on a long coat, a scarf, a beret and boots, you can no longer see the dress, AND you can't wear your styling items when you get wherever you're going, because it's inside and you're gonna MELT if you keep your outerwear on. Sometimes I'd like to haunt a fashion girlie through the day in a styled outfit for instagram, because I suspect it'd be very funny, and also that the conclusion is that sometimes you gotta suffer for fashion, and that's fine if that's what you want, but lets be real, practicality and versatility is what most people want out of their clothes.
Hahaha yes soo true!! When I’m trying outfits on in my bedroom I wear all kinds of funky things but outside it’s raining so really I only have one ACTUAL option
sometimes I do feel insecure about not keeping up to speed with the fashion girlies or having the same ‘eye’ that they do but I also think there’s something to be said about staying true to what clothes make you happy and feel good. I think the result is that people actually see what you wear and associate with a style unique to you. It makes me so happy whenever my friends send me a photo of an outfit or piece of clothing with the message “this is so you!!”. I didn’t even realize I have a recognizable style but other people definitely notice! Thanks ash for another lovely and thoughtful video xx
This is so interesting! I suppose not everyone is interested in fashion, a bit like how im not interested in which car ive got, im happy as long as it gets me from a to b. Clothes are like that for most people.
I live in NYC and , while a huge population of people here do in fact wear their chronically online outfits, it’s a very specific person. Most are transplants (I’m a transplant so not a negative thing imo) working in social media or wanting to be an influencer. They have a spray tan, they secretly have a bald spot from the slick back bun trend, and they dress like a completely different person month to month. I can’t tell anymore if they still feel like they’re unique bc you can’t throw a rock without hitting someone wearing at least one of the same micro trends as them. They spend a lot of time at trendy bars and restaurants and (in my experience) will be back to wearing basics within 10 years when they move to the suburbs
Not just NY, in big cities in Europe is the same, and yes, they are (almost) always transplants!!! Where they live usually is part of the outfit :) don’t want to be bitter, but the rents are getting high because of “digital nomads”.
as someone who is into ethical consumption and environment conservation... wear the skinny jeans! wear your 2010s moment! the longer you use an article of clothing and put wear into it, the longer you keep it from the landfill (and yes I daresay the goodwill bin), the better it is for our planet!
So true! Most people are pretty conservative and just want to blend in and not draw attention to themselves. In some ways it's reassuring, but life would be more interesting if it weren't like that. To see "the cores" visibly, I think you have to hang out outside Central St Martins or sthg.
When you said, "It's still winter," I laughed out loud and probably shed a tear or two. Where I live, one day is spring, the next day is winter, and so on, back and forth until the beginning of May. Some people dress like "if I wear shorts and flip-flops, maybe nature will get the message," I see these people walking around my university campus...but I personally think they are insane.
as someone who lives in florence i actually see these trends all the time time. the only ones who r not following them are some of the tourists, and that’s how my italian friends say they spot them :,)
This is so reassuring to hear!! It's still winter here where I live and its still like -10 degrees and snow so I'm struggling to find nice outfits to wear for "spring". It also feels like the fashion girlies I follow on youtube only hang out with other fashion people so it's like an echo chamber of fashion so I never see any "normal" clothes haha. Thank you for this video, I've missed you!! :)
what i do is, i get updated about every fashion trend that starts to pick up the hype and think about it practically for a while i question myself "if i buy this will i actually wear this? will i be comfortable wearing it irl?" and i also analyse the longevity of a trend, i wait for the hype to tame down a little bit, to see if i, personally, actually like it or is it just that im getting influenced by everyone around me, and just like that considering everything i make a decision
Hi!! I follow you from Italy and it's very interesting to see how things are different here!! You can see a lot of people actually following the trends, even some more adult women.
I'm qute astonished by your observation! I'm from Weimar, a really small town in Germany an I SWEAR here are so so many extremely fashionista Girls* and Guys*. Here skirts over jeans is sported by all genders at any occasion (Partys, University, grocery shopping) like I didn't even think this could not be a normal thing to wear. I love all the diversity in the looks I'm seeing on a regular basis and it's so inspiring fashionwise. Hopefully exploring your personal style and playing with onlinetrends in real life will be normal in your City soon too!
Oh my what that sounds so cool !! Pls I’d loovvvv to be there bc it would make me feel less awkward about dressing up :))))) I’d love to wear skirt over pants but I’d be looked at so strangely I swear !!xxx
Yay! I've been waiting for a new video from you! What you're saying is soooo true! I live in Dublin and literally no one dresses like what you see online. I was on the Luas (our tram) and every single person was wrapped up in a black puffer jacket. I saw one person wearing a skirt over trousers and I was shooketh!
As a 20-something girlie who works in corporate finance, I always see trends online that I like but ultimately I know if I were to wear an "Office Siren" look to work I would stick out like a sore thumb compared to my mostly middle aged counterparts. It's also unfortunately an almost surefire way to be s3xualised in the workplace (which of course has everything to do with patriarchal hellscape we live in and little to do with the actual outfit being worn and the wearer of the outfit). I also noticed most of the men in my office have 1 pair of shoes, 1-2 pairs of trousers and then rotate through the same couple of work shirts and don't see why I can't just do the same. I've also decided if men don't have to wear high heels and makeup to the office, nor should I.
Wow this actually made me realise that i m not missing out much on these fashion trends !! I was actually really tried and jealous from seeing all the girlies on ig and pinterest wearing whatever is trendy ! But this actually made me realise that around me girlies are fashionable but not the "trendy fashionable " i m from india and girls here where alot of baggy ,wide leg jeans with cute crop tops maybe florals one more often, midi skirts ,etc. But no one is actually following the trends or specific cores 😅❤ Btw you're so pretty and i really like your voice
Maybe it’s a Paris thing but I see skirt over pants on at least one person every time I go out lolz but maybe i’m just lucky xd I think it looks sooooo cool and the people are so stylish and also I also see it on girls AND boys and it never looks bad I love Paris and seeing cool people everyday
ah pls im so jealous :') it would make me feel more comfortable experimenting with my outfits if everyone wore cool quirky clothes ! id love that oh my ! id feel so silly if I went out in skirt over pants over here :((((
as a muslim, i love the skirts/dresses over pants trend as i dress modestly. when i was younger, i used to dress like this like back in primary school/middle school and ppl used to make fun of it which made me quite self conscious. i am now almost over with my last year of high school & i still dress like that but less ppl make fun of it now. in a way, i am really grateful for the trend.
Thank you so much :’) I’d love to show you some outfits but I hate all my clothes atm , yk you just go through those phases .. :’) but I love playing dress up so tbh I think an outfits vid will be sooner than you think heheh xxxx
Love the content and choice of topics. I agree that the culture of “fashion” in the chronically online world is at best in a different solar system as the average consumer. Also the tailoring of marketing and desire to consistently consume fashion media at the level of “fashion people” is a choice many adults will not make.
this video is so reassuring, i've been thinking about this lately as well. I'm actually a goth (ik not the demographic you'd expect) and i love to wear a lot of layers, lots of black, lots of accesories. But i can't be wearing that every day cause sometimes i'm just too tired or too busy to build an entire outfit, and i'll just wear jeans and a hoodie. I worry that i look too boring, but i've been trying to make peace with the fact that you can't wear a super ellaborate outfit every single day, you know?
Ah oh my yes to evvvverything !! I love to dress in nice clothes and I try and look nice in my videos but day to day I’m normally just wearing trackies and crocs and whatever coat I’ve left on the bannister hahahah x
in my experience, looking at people who go to my uni, what's popular is ugg boots, claw clips and flared trousers most people still wear jumpers and sweatpants though lol
This vid was genuinely so AWESOME. Made me feel much better bc lately I feel like I'm FALLING BEHIND on the fashion GIRLY trainnn. 100% agree w thiss bc eveytime I go out i rarely see CUTE pintrest core fits. And tbh when ever I come across them, it makes me feel self conscious 💀🙏 better fix this RELATIONSHIP. Thank you Ash!! 🎀
Ash omg thank goodness you're back. Obsessed. And fr this cold is lasting ! And the ppl are practical. I was the only person showing my knees out today.
I really enjoy your analysis and do agree to a certain extent. I think a lot of trends are maybe more worn in the evening or on the weekends, where people have time and have some place to go where they can actually dress up instead of showing up to uni in a fur coat ykwim? and honestly if you come to germany there are actually a lot of people wearining skirts over pants regularly as well as baggy pants etc. just my observation :)
thats so interesting ! i def agree with you, if youre running round in the day you just want to chuck something on that serves its purpose so you can just do what you need to do, but in the evening youre able to play dress up :) lol maybe its just bc I don't leave the house after 6pm that I didn't think of that hahahah xxxx
Thank you for this reminder. I travel a lot for work and at some point this year I was so tired of just seeing variations of basically the same ~9 outfits all over Europe. It all melts down into some exchangeable mush - I am craving the expression of normalcy. I want to see outfits that were created by life (weather, job, culture, climate, personality, age etc) and not these little costumes that say "Look at me, I'm a pawn in the online circus".
This is super interesting! its also fun to see the differences based on where you live, I live in melbourne and i actually do see a lot of the online trends in real life, probably because i live in a more studenty area.
Skinny jeans are still going strong, yeah. Because even aside from the point that people like to wear the same things all the time, it’s nice to have a jean close to the skin when it’s cold - those wide ass highwaters get wind under them! It’s chilly!
This was so comforting!! I work in fashion design and I feel a pressure to dress everyday like I work in fashion but in reality, no one really does (and no one really cares either!!!) everyone I see on my commute is literally dressed so they’re comfortable, why are all of the fashion girlies literally existing only within my phone ? xxx
oh my I feeeeel for you, whenever I watch tiktoks of girls that go to 'fashion school' or whatever, I always feel so intimidated by the idea that they have to so meticulously choose their outfit every day bc of the expectation they have good style . its kind of what I feel like in my videos (lol which I s why I don't post many styling videos bc im worried ppl will think I don't have good style eee)
its so funny actually that in london people are very casual and i live in a city w 300k population and every time i go out everyone are so fancy like absolutely insane fashion week whole year
Idk I think it depends where in London... I live in a trendy area of east london and the weekend outfits go crazy! Even the dads lol. Not trendmaxxing but stylish and modern
You should visit east London, I find it so funny seeing trends from the internet in person. Also on the practicality note, I always love the look of little fashiony vintage tops and things but I'm always cold, even in summer nights when you would wear these things out I usually have to have a long sleeve. I love practical fashion and seeing how people dress well for everyday, I wish there was more of that on the internet.
your insights are really great. i am wearing a bright purple dress but i know ill change before i leave the house haha. i also hate baggy pants (hard to walk in) and i wear docs MJs because they don't slip when it rains. i prefer to look neutral when I go out if that makes sense. another great vid ash!
I remember when mob wife was trendy and overnight every girl had a fur coat (I live in Sweden), 1 week later there were none. All that plastic just thrown away rip
honestly no one usually gets to see my cutest outfits, they’re often just not practical if you’re a busy person (and/or taking public transport lol). too many layers gets sweaty/stuffy inside and isnt even necessarily the warmest option when you’re outdoors either, plus it all just gets covered by my coat. then when you take the coat off its like you may or may not have sweat marks already
omg i rly wish my experience was your experience! i live in melbourne and went to art school (which is like wow a blessing and a curse lol) and i feel like life here is one big social anxiety attack hahha. it honestly feels like since the internet, the regular streets are as experimental and competitive as art school -- which is like amazing inspiration, but yeh, i totally change my outfit five times before leaving the house because it absolutely feels like pinterest out here fr lolll
Online lots of people are saying we’re moving away from sneakers but irl I see more people with sneakers than any other type of shoe. I see so many nike dunks (especially the panda ones), jordans and air force 1s, some sambas too but I have to say so many times it’s middle aged men who wear them (at least where I’m from), I know lots of football/soccer fans always wore them too. And yes, I see lots of bold eye brows too.
Yes ! This is exactly what I saw :)) the fashion girls are wearing loafers with jeans now where we always used to wear trainers. I think since the ballet flat trend , online girlies have moved away from trainers but irl it’s more practical and comfier to just slip on a trainer
@@ashleighcallaghan so true! I always find it interesting what people in different places wear irl, our "ordinary" people seem to dress pretty similarly. ☺️
Idk who that is eeeeee o no is she bad pls tell me she’s cool bc I love her outfit but if she’s been cancelled for eating a baby or smth im going to need to change the thumbnail ://
Wow this is so different to what I’m used to! As a college student I’m surrounded by teenagers who are only just getting used to not having to wear a uniform everyday. Tons of goths, ‘kawaii’, coquette and office siren girlies floating around haha
It feels so good having finally someone acknowledging all this and bringing back the FACTS. The people who dress like online it girls IRL are a minority. Especially since as you said, in Europe we have something called winter! Great video!
I'm from Mexico, and many people wear baggy jeans, and there are many people following trends, but there is a contrast, still people wear “normal" clothes
I remember once I took a trip to NYC and was thinking, "I can't wait to see all the cool, fashionable people walking down the street!" But there were precious few. Maybe I was in the wrong part of town?
as a new yorker, i’d say you could’ve been in the wrong area, but also new york is soooo large and most people just wear regular clothes rather than dressing for trends, so even in the “right areas” you’ll see a variety. you know?
@@sarannspiegel4490 Yeah, I can see that. Also, I am a loyal follower of Karen Britchick and she always manages to find the coolest people in New York :) So you know they're there.
I have a 1950s short fur which I haven’t been successful in wearing out of the house yet. I don’t like to draw attention like that sooooooo. Also where I live in Oregon we will have a high of 78 this week 😊
I think this is an England thing, actually ( and also kind off?? unfortunately) in Germany a lot of people dress according to the trends online and it’s soooooo boring
thats what I feel like when I look at instagram. like yes I see you are fashionable and trendy but that 'fashionable and trendy' look is very particular and although youre not wearing the same as the next person I follow, somehow you look identical... I TRY and bring something new to the table, and also tell people what I really think rather than make things up because it is status quo or what gets views :) I really hope that comes across hehehe xxx
The thing is, when you pass 25yo you’re fed up with trends and don’t really care. Love seeing the kids play and explore like you have the zoomies, but at some point you’re just going to chill
wait I live in LA and haven't seen anyone under the age of 40 wear a skinny jean in years, it horrifies me that there are fashionable places where most people are still wearing skinny jeans lol
ah you guys must be waaay ahead of us bc its aaaaaall I saw ! occasionally there would be a teen in plain black leggings and high top Jordans but thats about the only variation !
Insane to me that I'm only watching this a few months later and all the trends are different. Anyways at least I'm glad skinny jeans aren't common where I live at least, that I'll forever be grateful for
This oddly makes me feel better about judging my fellow Central Texans for their skinny jeans, lol. I sometimes wonder if they actually know that baggy jeans and Adidas trackies are an option. I am so comfy in mine!
-cores aren't real except for the real girl i saw walking around real london two years ago in a little puff sleeve dress carrying a real actual living bunny in a wicker picnic basket
I'm so bored by people wearing trends at college but outside people dress with very basics/streetwears clothes, a lot of flowers on dresses like usual during the summer
I live in SF, and the uniform here is sports bra and matching leggings, even on the cooler days. I'm so utterly tired of the sameness and lack of any style whatsoever. It's boring and , most of the time, not very flattering. Whatever happened to having fun with clothes?
in nyc/brooklyn its hard to find ppl who dress fun but not trendy. like its very black and white- either trendy or classic
ah like walking into a beige tiktok house hahaha
Seeing all these fashion girlies wearing the latest trends online really creates some unrealistic expectations. This video is such a good reminder that in the end it's not that deep and it doesn't have to be a fashion show every day.
ah im so glad you liked it, thank you so much for being here xxx
this so crazy comparing to where im from (melbourne australia) literally all the fashion girlies wear the online trends stuff it blows my mind!!

You’re so right!!! They don’t pay us an extra fashion budget so why should we spend more just to go to work? Not to mention spending more of our time
Wow this actually made me realise that i m not missing out much on these fashion trends !!
But no one is actually following the trends or specific cores 😅❤
Btw you're so pretty and i really like your voice
ah youre an angel thank you so much for sharing
Maybe it’s a Paris thing but I see skirt over pants on at least one person every time I go out lolz but maybe i’m just lucky xd I think it looks sooooo cool and the people are so stylish and also I also see it on girls AND boys and it never looks bad I love Paris and seeing cool people everyday
ah pls im so jealous :') it would make me feel more comfortable experimenting with my outfits if everyone wore cool quirky clothes ! id love that oh my ! id feel so silly if I went out in skirt over pants over here :((((
I cannot unsee from 23 years ago.
Life is so much brighter as a fashion girlie.
as a muslim, i love the skirts/dresses over pants trend as i dress modestly. when i was younger, i used to dress like this like back in primary school/middle school and ppl used to make fun of it which made me quite self conscious. i am now almost over with my last year of high school & i still dress like that but less ppl make fun of it now. in a way, i am really grateful for the trend.
Ash you always make my day so bright! Literally love ur smile
Ah thank you so much such a pleasure to have you here xxxxxxx
You’re always wearing the most beautiful sweaters 😭 tell me your secret
I‘d also love to see your casual everyday outfits
Thank you so much :’) I’d love to show you some outfits but I hate all my clothes atm , yk you just go through those phases .. :’) but I love playing dress up so tbh I think an outfits vid will be sooner than you think heheh xxxx
Gee this video really was such a perfect reminder for my brain!! Thank you Ash 💕
im so glad and youre so welcome xxxx
2:03 where I live (in the us) younger people wear baggy jeans and most adults older than 30 wear skinny jeans
Love the content and choice of topics. I agree that the culture of “fashion” in the chronically online world is at best in a different solar system as the average consumer. Also the tailoring of marketing and desire to consistently consume fashion media at the level of “fashion people” is a choice many adults will not make.
OMG !!! I noticed that too 😂.. where are all those fashionistas at ?? 🤣🤣🤣
all in my phone ehehheheeh
@@ashleighcallaghan exactly!!😆😆😆
And my phone as well !! Small world
this video is so reassuring, i've been thinking about this lately as well.
2:06 this is so so true. especially skirt over jeans like i’ve seen more people in bunny costumes in the street being fr
I love your way of being and explaining yourself, it's very tender hehe. greetings from argentina
helloooo!!! that is so sweet of you thank you so much xxxx
@@ashleighcallaghan ❤❤
this was so reassuring, thank you!
Ah im so glad , it’s my pleasure xxxx
in my experience, looking at people who go to my uni, what's popular is ugg boots, claw clips and flared trousers
most people still wear jumpers and sweatpants though lol
This vid was genuinely so AWESOME. Made me feel much better bc lately I feel like I'm FALLING BEHIND on the fashion GIRLY trainnn.
100% agree w thiss bc eveytime I go out i rarely see CUTE pintrest core fits. And tbh when ever I come across them, it makes me feel self conscious 💀🙏 better fix this RELATIONSHIP. Thank you Ash!! 🎀
Such a pleasure so glad you liked it :))))
Ash omg thank goodness you're back. Obsessed. And fr this cold is lasting ! And the ppl are practical. I was the only person showing my knees out today.
Ah you’re brave hahahaa I’m still wearing thermals under my trousers ;)!!
It’s chilly!
loved the video and also your outfit!! so cute! 🤩🤩
Thank you so much :))))xxxx
Please where is the sweater you have one from?
This was so comforting!! I work in fashion design and I feel a pressure to dress everyday like I work in fashion but in reality, no one really does (and no one really cares either!!!) everyone I see on my commute is literally dressed so they’re comfortable, why are all of the fashion girlies literally existing only within my phone ? xxx
oh my I feeeeel for you, whenever I watch tiktoks of girls that go to 'fashion school' or whatever, I always feel so intimidated by the idea that they have to so meticulously choose their outfit every day bc of the expectation they have good style . its kind of what I feel like in my videos (lol which I s why I don't post many styling videos bc im worried ppl will think I don't have good style eee)
its so funny actually that in london people are very casual and i live in a city w 300k population and every time i go out everyone are so fancy like absolutely insane fashion week whole year
Also, why does every fashion girl seem to have a sneaker in every color of the rainbow to match the outfit? How many sambas can you possibly have?
Idk I think it depends where in London... I live in a trendy area of east london and the weekend outfits go crazy! Even the dads lol. Not trendmaxxing but stylish and modern
Thank you for this video, it's pretty obvious that real life doesn't equal online, but you put it nicely in a way that actually "got to me" haha
I wear the skirt over jeans - pants quite often. But live in wa state USA
your insights are really great. i am wearing a bright purple dress but i know ill change before i leave the house haha. i also hate baggy pants (hard to walk in) and i wear docs MJs because they don't slip when it rains. i prefer to look neutral when I go out if that makes sense. another great vid ash!
Yes I’m so with you !! In the comfort of my bedroom I can wear anything , but out in public it’ssooooo differ t hahahahah
I remember when mob wife was trendy and overnight every girl had a fur coat (I live in Sweden), 1 week later there were none. All that plastic just thrown away rip
Humans are fickle :’)
honestly no one usually gets to see my cutest outfits, they’re often just not practical if you’re a busy person (and/or taking public transport lol). too many layers gets sweaty/stuffy inside and isnt even necessarily the warmest option when you’re outdoors either, plus it all just gets covered by my coat. then when you take the coat off its like you may or may not have sweat marks already
You are my favourite TH-camr I. Love watching your videos you have such a nice personality 😊
Ah pls you’re so sweet I’m so glad you’re here xxxxx
Online fashion is just a parallel universe
so true hahaha xx
omg i rly wish my experience was your experience! i live in melbourne and went to art school (which is like wow a blessing and a curse lol) and i feel like life here is one big social anxiety attack hahha. it honestly feels like since the internet, the regular streets are as experimental and competitive as art school -- which is like amazing inspiration, but yeh, i totally change my outfit five times before leaving the house because it absolutely feels like pinterest out here fr lolll
not anna from red scare in the thumbnail 😭
Idk who that is eeeeee o no is she bad pls tell me she’s cool bc I love her outfit but if she’s been cancelled for eating a baby or smth im going to need to change the thumbnail ://
Wow this is so different to what I’m used to! As a college student I’m surrounded by teenagers who are only just getting used to not having to wear a uniform everyday. Tons of goths, ‘kawaii’, coquette and office siren girlies floating around haha
Ah how interesting !!! Tbh this is what I was expecting to see !
I agree, I work on a college campus, I can attest to that lol! Ultimately, I think it depends on the location, occasion, and city.
It feels so good having finally someone acknowledging all this and bringing back the FACTS. The people who dress like online it girls IRL are a minority. Especially since as you said, in Europe we have something called winter! Great video!
thank you so much ! so glad you agree xxxxx
feels like i am an alien on a spaceship and i am listening to the only person with a leave permit explain what awaits on the outside
Well. That was the cutest ending I've never seen 🥹
I'm from Mexico, and many people wear baggy jeans, and there are many people following trends, but there is a contrast, still people wear “normal" clothes
What glasses are you wearing??
I just got them off eBay and get my prescription put in x
I remember once I took a trip to NYC and was thinking, "I can't wait to see all the cool, fashionable people walking down the street!" But there were precious few. Maybe I was in the wrong part of town?
as a new yorker, i’d say you could’ve been in the wrong area, but also new york is soooo large and most people just wear regular clothes rather than dressing for trends, so even in the “right areas” you’ll see a variety. you know?
@@sarannspiegel4490 Yeah, I can see that. Also, I am a loyal follower of Karen Britchick and she always manages to find the coolest people in New York :) So you know they're there.
where is the sweater from?
I got it off vinted but it’s vintage Calvin Klein:))xxxx
@@ashleighcallaghan yay thank u !
I have a 1950s short fur which I haven’t been successful in wearing out of the house yet. I don’t like to draw attention like that sooooooo. Also where I live in Oregon we will have a high of 78 this week 😊
where’s ur outfit from? So cute!!
My jumper is Vinted , it’s a Calvin Klein fleece , and my vest is just from the little girls underwear section in primark ! :Dxxx
I saw it once irl (the dress over jeans😂) I live in Montreal
hahahaha im yet to see it in the wild (but tbh I don't leave the house much oops heheh)
Thank you. That was so funny.
my absolute pleasure xxx
Love seeing the kids play and explore like you have the zoomies, but at some point you’re just going to chill
hahahah so real xx
Give her a Parisian pet rat cause she’s COOKING
It's the first time to watch u ,but i loved u ...u r so cool
could we get some more deinfluencing vids pls 👉🏼👈🏼
I don’t trust any other fashion influencer 💀😭🥺
Ah what a fabbbbb idea !! Yes absolutely def going to do this soon !:D
ANNA!!!!
Everyone irl has a Uniqlo bag tho 😂❤
thats so weird. Here in Germany, no one wears skinny jeans. I always imagined people from London being very trendy
Anybody could let me know who's the person from 1:47 ? Love the video and Ash's look btw🥰
Hi hi !!!! If you check the description I put her TikTok :D she’s the first one on the list !! Love her style sm xxxx I hope you have a lovely day
wait I live in LA and haven't seen anyone under the age of 40 wear a skinny jean in years, it horrifies me that there are fashionable places where most people are still wearing skinny jeans lol
ah you guys must be waaay ahead of us bc its aaaaaall I saw ! occasionally there would be a teen in plain black leggings and high top Jordans but thats about the only variation !
Who else came here because they saw Anna in the thumbnail? Lol
Oh wow I pretty much only wear skirts over trousers, real fur, and color
ah pls I need your wardrobe I bet youre so super cool xxx
Insane to me that I'm only watching this a few months later and all the trends are different. Anyways at least I'm glad skinny jeans aren't common where I live at least, that I'll forever be grateful for
honestly I’ve never seen “clean girl makeup “ irl. in my area girls either wear normal makeup that can be seen or don’t wear makeup at all
I do wear most of the things you say are unrealistic, but i get what you mean
easy peezy simple pimple 😵💫🤣
hehe ;)xxx
This oddly makes me feel better about judging my fellow Central Texans for their skinny jeans, lol. I sometimes wonder if they actually know that baggy jeans and Adidas trackies are an option. I am so comfy in mine!
ahahahah yes :Dxxxxxxx love just chilling in my trackies , slip on a pair of uggs if I need a snack from the corner shop ;)
Montreal sounds way more trendy than London
real
-cores aren't real except for the real girl i saw walking around real london two years ago in a little puff sleeve dress carrying a real actual living bunny in a wicker picnic basket
I'm so bored by people wearing trends at college but outside people dress with very basics/streetwears clothes, a lot of flowers on dresses like usual during the summer
It's actually quite rare to see an original outfit
what do you MEAN people don’t wear baggy jeans irl?? go to any college campus and it’s baggy jeans galore
Fashion mf discovers outside😭
God bless the computer hospital 🙏❤️🩹✨
Oh my yes absolutely :’)
😃🎨
I live in SF, and the uniform here is sports bra and matching leggings, even on the cooler days. I'm so utterly tired of the sameness and lack of any style whatsoever. It's boring and , most of the time, not very flattering. Whatever happened to having fun with clothes?
