I adore Willem Dafoe’s legendary take on the green goblin but it’s nice to see someone talking about the sickeningly creepy but awesome Dane DeHaan goblin. I know people have their issues with that iteration of the character but I always thought there was a lot of interesting stuff going on in terms of what he actually is!

The one thing I never understood about that series of spiderman movies is whether or not the drugs made him "evil" or if he just had some kind of hereditary psychosis disorder.
... But that said growing up I thought he was actually some kind of goblin. I wish I still had my childhood comics lol I know the hobgoblin was a person I remember that from my comics haha

In Spider-Man 1 they say the drug diagnosis is insanity. The thing w Harry was never explained but implied he was just going to crazy and when he took the formula he was finally coerced in a way
@SonnySantana2099 So not figuratively? Use the word "literally" better. Norman, pre serum, was diagnosed with absolutely nothing. The serum causes it, quickly in the movies, and over a decade in the comics.

I remember hearing that Dane Dehaan asked for the Goblin transformation scene be edited (shoulder blades) because Dane Dehaan thought that it was too disturbing from the rest of the film.

It did nothing to his body. It gave him abilities that could, potentially and eventually be used to alter his body, but the sheer possession of the gene does nothing. The power must be activated and mastered.

Video from Fernando Comics when Spidey goes after King Pin for shooting his Aunt and killing her. He beats the absolute breaks off of. Superior Spiderman knocked Scorpions jaw off from a punch. There is a comic where Petey was sick and not talking and his villains were scared.
So, I disagree. There was a breakdown of Spidermans true power and potential I saw a few days ago. Spiderman is actually the one that holds back his true power. A more powerful green goblin wouldn’t have made a difference in the end. It just would have taken more effort from Spiderman to unleash his true potential.

You can tell from his accent that English likely isn't his first language, so it's likely just a dialect.
@KidWivAutism A dialect doesn't come from speaking English as a second language. It's a lack of experience with English paired with his common understanding of how to pronounce that phoneme with his mother tongue. He wasn't taught that "bo" can be pronounced as it's spelled, or as "bah".
