What an awesome upgrade to your adventures Joe. And a beautifully crafted boat and introduction too. That transom and launch wheel set up is ingenious.
My advice would be to remove the nylock nuts on the transom wheels and replace with a wingnut, that way you can leave the transom wheels in the truck while out. They’re great, they just get in the way.
@@JoePkSpearfishinghorses for courses I guess? I found they got in the way of the engine at full turn and I’ve always put my guns in butt first next to the engine when getting in and out the water, I kept that as a routine with sharp tips and rubber boats 😂 It’s an idea anyways if you every do want to do it 🫡
Black is the very worst colour to make a Sib or Rib out of - for 2 reasons ;- on those hot days it can get very hot and uncomfortable to touch/sit on and more importantly you will have to keep an eye on the pressure or have a pressure release valve installed - otherwise if you don't have a pressure release valve and are distracted away from the vessel (when parked up ashore) there will be a good chance that you will hear a nasty loud pop. The best colour by far is white - as on those very hot sunny days these reflect the sun fantastically and weirdly stay cool to the touch. The puncture proof tyres are reassuring(especially the small ones for little outboards) but thats about all - the whole idea of inflatable tyres is that they give a great bounce that assists over rocks and dips - especially when you have a very heavy outboard - a good set of rubber(not vinyl) wheel barrow tyres should last around 10 years.
A dark coloured boat is difficult to spot, when out at sea. I once owned a navy blue boat and my friend said he had difficulty seeing me in the boat when out at sea. (We always travel in pairs, in case one boat has problems or when we are passing through the Skerries, on the North end of Anglesey) I have sold the navy boat and have bought another Zodiac Cadet, in white.
can you please expand on what you mean by this? Is this the same CS youtuber kliksphillip you speak of? What's the connection? I have so many questions haha
I had the same boat off simon with a 20hp Mariner and left scotland over to the isle of man no problem
Listen to Simon hes a good guy

Amazing! Can I ask how much a boat and engine like this costs?
Whole package inc trailer is just around £6k
Congratulations happy for you.
Thank you!
Wish we could get great affordable inflatable sibs in the States like the UK and Europe have. Honwave, sea pro inflatable all like great boats
the temptation to get one is unreal if i had the money and space it would be in my basket now haha
did you install the transom wheels yourself? or did they come installed with the boat?
Simon's a top falconer
Would it be feasible to inflate/deflate the boat at every use? Or would it be detrimental to the valves?
nice start point shirt...where s the key....😀

Might as well get some kitchen points and name her after your wife ;-)

Black. That has to get VERY HOT in the sun. More heat faster degradation . Besides burning your ASS OFF. ....what say you...
