As someone who's never been on a rib this tutorial was so easy to understand and get to grips with. I bet there are hours of fun and good fishing to be had from a boat you can fit in the back of a small car
A brilliant inflatable, a brilliant instructor and demonstration, and a brilliant method of getting into those difficult places for a better catch. All round, an incredible addition to your fishing experience...! Money well spent, I'd say...!
Got that same outboard but a 4H on my 10ft canal/river fishing boat 👍pushes me along just fine with the inland speed limits 👌 nice little run from ellesmere port canal to chester and back on a sunny day and from Chester almost to Wrexham on the dee, I'm not brave enough to go in the sea by mine because I live on the Mersey and I'd probably end up in Belfast if the tides going out😂👍 working on building a tiny house boat for long stays on the broads so keeping my eye out for a Wilson flyer hull and a 2 birth caravan to blend together😂
Eh mate, that lad who went out with you, diamond bloke! You could not have had a better lad to get you on the water, easily, safely and with confidence!! Big up to the long haired layabout who has it nailed on instructing! 🙂
Nice one John, I’ve been sib fishing for a fair few years now and love it, always best when beginning to go out with another sib or two, safety in numbers until you get a bit of experience, up your way with the sib first two weeks of June for the Tope, enjoy it bud and stay safe 👍🎣
Excellent job :) I have been boating for approx. 30 years now and its so nice to see a small boat user guide presented so well. Great video guys, I have to say you explained everything so clearly and effectively. Brilliant for any newbie wanting a quick guide to small boat operation. I think all new boat owners should have to watch some kind of introduction film before they take to the water, it would maybe at least help reduce the crazy silly things you see some folk doing LOL, nice one :)
Excellent video mate, that guy really seemed to know his stuff!! Looking forward to your trips out in your new toy 😀 Ps I watched the video with your son at holyhead, loved it & clicked like but forgot to add a comment. I was so pleased for your lad catching them fish 🐟 A great father & son memory. Atb.
Hi John you don't know me but you was fishing the wall one night in Llandudno you was talking about mental health I was in a bad place since my devorce I found some help it took months but in a better place now and I owe it all to you thanks buddy I believe you saved my life thank you my friend.
Hey buddy I’m so glad you’re in a better place now! Keep being strong buddy and if your around the area again in the future we will have to have a catch up - John
Haven’t got a boat (yet)… I have a paddle board… started looking at things like the Intex excursion for the family… then thought “that’s a bit too much ‘pool toy’ for me”. Then started looking at the Mariner 4. An hour of TH-cam later and here I am 😂 Loved this video and will definitely consider buying one of yours if I decide to do with something on this level!
Got to just drop in and say thanks - great video, I’m not a complete beginner now but I was a couple of years ago and I would’ve loved this… really clear and well explained in a really accessible way. And also… very correct! All the info is legit in my humble opinion. Thanks again, highly recommended
Great video but I always check the immediate area for sharp objects before i start to asemble and disassemble my boat on a tarpaulin , it just protects the boat from scuffing on sharp edges on the slip or beach.
Looks like a great set up mate! 👌🏼 Can’t wait to see the trials snd tribulations of life on the high seas 😉😂😂 Saw on HH’s channel that you’d got one, spurred me to dig mine out of the cellar and fire the old outboard up. Just got back from an awesome couple of days out on the Llyn Peninsula. Thanks pal!! 🎣
I am so happy this video has come out! I was saving up for a Boatworld Rib but this guys knowledge and thinking through of the layout is far superior. The bit about the weight needing to be at the front to get the boat on the plane is an amazing point. I used to struggle getting my Rib onto the plane as a kid until I learned I could steer it with my foot and lean right forward 😂. 100% getting one of these this year. Just a question as I'm trying to talk myself out of a new Yamaha engine, how come the Parsun? I haven't used one before but heard nothing bad about them.
I’m really pleased you found the video helpful, get in touch when you’re ready to buy, or if you fancy it we are running an inflatable boat demo day at Rhosneigr this Saturday - come along and test a few!
@@highamsimon thank you so much Simon! If I wasn't playing a wedding this Saturday I would 100% fly down. I have some time off in June so I will be coming down for a visit ASAP. Thanks for your knowledge sharing. 🙃👍
Morning John as soon as I seen this video two days ago I phoned sea pro boots ribs and ordered 1 it its coming Monday its the sea pro 2.4 model good to see you back on here m8 I got a ppmg catapult off you a cupple of years ago brilliant video's m8
Great inflatable great engine Superb intuitive Video on how use Inflatable with outboard and pitfalls explained.. How about extended tiller for one up !!!
12:30 So, you don't bother with the bung, then? 🤣 Last time I was there, there was talk of the council insisting on launch fees & a registration number on your boat. Is that a thing? Was a customer of your dad's, a few decades ago! 👍
i had the identical engine, excellent and every bit as good as others at a cheaper cost :) and i had a Honda Honwave with a solid aluminium floor, i only went with the honwave as at the time here in Scotland i could only get the Honwave, the floor fitting was a pita until you got really used to it. with the suzies and the honda outboards you could just change the carb to get the power rating up, i never found out if it was possible with the parsun ? if so it saves buying another outboard later on once its out of warranty :) and by the way the engine never once let me down, just remember and flush it with fresh water to stop corrosion :)
When will you go tope fishing? Also when I lived in Manchester I was always drawn to Welsh Wales and Anglesea. At the top, near Holyhead breakwater, I think past the lighthouse at the top, there was a long reef with white water that looked killer for bass (It is only reachable by boat). If you tried there I'm sure you'd find some great fishing. It is calm out from the reef. Only ideas, oh and the long cliff-line south of the North stacks lighthouse was a dream too. I am telling you this so I can sit in Cambodia living vicariously through your experiences.
As a newbie could you answer a few questions pls. Some there are some cheaper boats as you are probably aware , why an inflatable floor over an alloy floor users seam to prefer alloy floors seapro are in my top 3 choice but the most expensive. Tia
Well after watching this video I think I will finally take the plunge and get myself a SIB for my fishing. Do you have the link to the complete package that’s shown in the video?
Great video, spoke to Simon about a 2nd hand sea pro boat i bought and the guy couldnt have been happier to answer questions etc. Ive sent you a pm on fb too John. Good luck with the sib 🎣🎣🎣

minimal, just be careful, and as theyre made up of 3 side chambers, and an inflatable floor (2 in the floor) you can easily hobble back into shore if ya do puncture one :)

Excellent tutorial from Simon great design and very simple to assemble and disassemble. Wishing you many safe voyages fishing in it John.
Watched so many SIB videos and you are the first packing it back together. Thanks mate
