It's been a year since I smelled a Montale scent. This one smelt so familiar up top. During editing the scent does show more rose which was nice to see.

I've been curious about this one so it was nice to get an honest take that was more than "it's beast-mode" and "ladies lovie it", like most others. I haven't really explored either house very deeply. I did pick up a bottle of Montale Oud Pashmina. While the oud isn't anything spectacular and has that signature screech to it, I do like the rose and the overall dark tone of the fragrance. It's a winter time signature for me at work. I like that I can break it out as a daily driver when I'm craving a rose/oud, whilst saving my more luxurious options for special occasions or events.

In my experience with Montale and Mancera less is more, I have about 4 from each brand and I don't think I need more, I have sampled many, they're very similar but I really like the ones I have, favorite Mancera: Hindu Kush favorite Montale: Ristretto intense Cafe. Thanks for the Unboxing Marc!!!

this was THE Hype Fragrance in Germany last year.
When I asked at the fragrance shop, it was not only sold out, I was the 8th person to ask fpr this that day. Still smell this alot at the subways

@@robes08 This is the constant top pick on the montale website. I guess it ticks a lot of boex, strong, slightly animalic for younger dudes and a lovely gourmandy bakery trail.

Hi, what fragrance would you recommend for a 28 year old who is starting to be serious about life and wants to settle down type of guy. Also pretty athletic and in shape if that helps. The smell has to be sweet on it’s own, but avoid popular pleasers like this one. Recommend me one fragrance for summer and heat and one for winter and cold please :)
Im picking up on the typical Montale rose note in this, its quiet present behind the saccharine sweetness. The rose is a bit heavier dosed then in Instant Crush but other then that, they are redundant fragrances in my opinion. If you have one you can just forget about the other one because its borderline the same scent.
I noticed the rose after the camera shut off sadly.
The stopper built into the atomizer are the tester bottles.

I have 5 from the house, Honey Aoud, Oud Tobacco, Ristretto Intense Café and Vanilla Cake. I did own regular Intense Café but it was too feminine and gave it to my mom, ha. She absolutely loves it. I really like the Ristretto. Just wondering your opinion on Ristretto and what you might recommend for my next Montale? These are the only 5 I have ever smelled. All blind bought.
Try perhaps aoud leather or chocolate Greedy.

I would say Tonka Cola since you don't have it and I really like Saharian Wind. I got a list of fragrances from both brands I would love to smell but I have a feeling they aren't the best to blind buy

I have Honey Aoud and its really something. What else besides that is worth getting from Montale?
If you like gourmands you should check out Vanilla Cake and Chocolate Greedy. If you like leather you should check out Aoud Leather or Oud Cuir D'Arabie. Very solid scents.

I am not a fan of Arabians Tonka. It is loud and I feel like it is for the compliment magnet crowd. As you said when you are a collector with vintage and Guerlain unicorns this is unlikely to be your jam. My husband wore it a few times and I had forbid him to wear that stuff as it is so nuclear and synthetic smelling. The scent used to remain in our home for days
Totally agree with your assessment. I bought it for my daughter because she wanted it. OK for the clubbing arena but I wanted to disown her when she came to the theatre wearing about 20 sprays of it. Loud and synthetic with not a lot else going for it.

Its even better i have it for a long time now in skin is 24h+ no joke and sillage is huge huge huge with only 2 3 sprays
@@a.s9776 I did sample it, the performance was incredible over 10+ with only one spray and after showering I could still detect it. I also sampled starry nights but that easily beat Arabians tonka in overall longevity
I guess there won't be a montale/Mancera to surprise you, just because it is that kind of house, entry level. I can say that Montale Arabians(not tonka) is a better one from them, White Aoud, Black Aoud and I have heard that Vetiver Patchouli might be a good one(have not pulled the trigger as there is no Montale to surprise me).
Aoud Cuir D'Arabie surprised the heck outta me from Montale early in my discovery of the brand. I think they can hit sometimes.
I have a decant of AT, and it is really good, but is definitely of the uncouth, screechy synthetic crowd.

That's such a huge choice and congratulations. My suggestion is either wear something that is special and reminds you of that person you marry, maybe you wore something on your first date etc... if you wanted something special and new for the big day honestly that is so personal and amazing that I would suggest to get samples of bunch of things and see what would work with you. Richwood is excellent btw. Congrats again!

You should review Vetiver Patchouli too. Arabians Tonka is one of the worst Montale in my opinion. It's exactly what you said. Caramel and burnt sugar and saffron. Tonka in the worst sense. Very nauseating 🤢

Montale or Mancera fragrances are not unique, lack of identity. A Brand like Etat libre d'Orange (for example) are less expensive and more unique and sometimes with more quality...

Montale VS ELDO isn't really fair. I think one is looking at the mainstream and ELDO is more artistic niche with affordable pricing. They are in the same price point tho.
