I hate to be "that guy," but the title is misleading as this is not the world record for multiple reasons. The main disqualifying reason is that the rules clearly state that the recording must show the survival world settings before the run to verify it is randomly generated with no alterations to the default settings. This alone is a clear cut rule, and disqualifying on its own. It sucks that such a minor step is the undoing of what was a super lucky run. Aside from the immediate disqualifier, the run has the minor problem of timing wrong and cutting out almost 5 minutes of the run. To quote the rules: "Timing starts on the first input when character stands up. Timing ends when "The End" screen appears after you finish the Epilogue" Also, there is a current controversy where all PC runs are just invalid anyways. It is impossible to verify that files have not been altered in a runners favor or that the worlds aren't entirely seeded. So the current world record was done on an iOs where it would still be possible to seed runs but significantly harder and not really worth the effort for such an unknown game and unknown speedrun. So while this may be a completely legitimate run, the uncertainty makes it unverifiable. Much like how Vanakyria's records are all massively in question. Someone who has never posted a run before, no history of PBs recorded, and completely unknown by the community coming in and "WR"ing an easily cheatable WR (over 20 different WRs in various DS categories no less)? It's just too fishy. In your case also, the lack of a history of runs and not being known on top of the various mistakes made in the run and lack of use of current speedrun techniques makes the run questionable. For example, you make an alchemy engine early in the run and place it down, then proceed to only make science machine tech things, throwing away a ton of materials and time that you did not need to waste. Small mistakes spread out across the run including some big ones like almost two minutes wasted on the engine, combined with the insane luck of finding a day 1 cane and taking no real wrong turns and near perfect world gen back to back just further serves to make an already questionable run unbelievable.

As I said, if you would kindly reread my post, the primary reason the run is invalid is because of this clause "Run recording has to show player's world preset before run start." I also said that it is sad that what was likely a fair and super lucky run is immediately disqualified for such a minor niggle. The remainder of the post is basically pointing out that speed running this is not worth it given the current state of the speed run, the fact that a confirmed cheater has 23 of the mostly RNG world records, and received them in just 2 weekends on mass uploads. I can't stop you from ignoring most of my post or harassing me and my fair analysis of his run and why it would be suspect in the current environment especially as this was posted after I posted a detailed guide on how you can seed and easily win this exact run (i.e. non-random worlds) on the speedrun site. Copy him and beat his time, starting the timer whenever ur rules tell u too...u should be able to do this mentally but since u think he used cheats do it urself. You wont be able to if u dont get the walking cane as fast as he did. So if ur rules dont let u regen for a good start seed ur gonna auto lose if u cant find one as fast. u'll be nowhere near the WR time. So if ur still stuck, play according to their rules instead and u'll see he didnt cheat (i.e. start timer same way, play normally).....and then u can reset the damn timer mentally and shave however many seconds u think is fair. Uh I guys, I know i'm a little late on this "disscusion" , sorry for that i've been kinda busy, but I must say that Misuto M is correct in the fact that i somewhat broke some rules, and I know that my run is not verifiable, and thus you should probably not believe in my run. It's as simple as that, you like the run and believe that i didn't cheat, good for you. You believe that i cheated and don't like the run, good for you, the reason because I start and ended the timer in inappropriate times and I didn't show the world setting it's simply because I've never done a speedrun, neither I have seen speedruns (reason why I dont use "usual speedrun strategies"). I just kinda did the run for fun. I personally worked really hard in this speedrun, there where a ton of failed attemps, so i'm pretty proud of this run, but again, choose to belive what you like, its in your hands. PD: I removed the WR from the title because you know, the run is not verifiable. Hope that helps you guys take this run more like a fun run, rather than a super serious speedrun :) Also, I see you guys a bit too fixated in the fact that I made an alchemy engine for practically nothing, the reason why I did that was...I was nervous xD, I don't know why at that moment I thought that I didn't have a walking cane and I needed to craft one, completely forgetting the fact that I had one in my hand.
