It’s so strange how far the game had come when the Deerclops used to be the most terrifying and infuriating boss in the base game known for destroying your bases
To be fair. In the single player don't starve deerclops could only be hit 2-3 hits instead of 3-4 and nightmare creatures also couldn't be attacked mid attack animation with you still avoiding the hit.
yeah so true, i was glad surviving like 30 days straight , it seems a lot easier now with the developed environment and new gadget / buildings (like the snow cannon thingy for summer)
I downloaded this game literally this week and have died more times than i'd like to admit so i've never even killed boss 1, but after watching this i'm a little more motivated LMAO great content

hell yeah, I've always wanted to get really into DST but I don't want to play alone and it's hard to schedule to play with other people. It's also quite hard to start back up when you all die on the first day of spring, etc. when learning lol
Would like to thank you for this. Yes its educational and entertaining. I loved survival games like these and after trying Dont Starve I enjoyed how crazy and random it seemed with so much mechanics. Its a pretty hard game so I got challenged. Looked at the wiki and saw how deep it was and didnt have it in me to play it to the end. This video showed me how it would have been if I invested my time on this. Means a lot so thank you for the well presented video. I actually watched it every second and ate snacks its that enjoyable to sate my curiosity. :) You earned my sub :D keep it up!
Very entertaining presentation. It’s well suited to someone who doesn’t know much about the game while still being entertaining. I love the RuneScape music btw. PS: You’re not kidding about those penguins. Some jumped up from the ocean onto my base so I hit one trying to scare them off. I died almost instantly. Luckily I had a touchstone nearby, and they decided to settle sort of near my base instead of on it. PPS: Do NOT anger the Lorax in the birch forest!
My favorite Deerclops fact is that if you let him destroy six machines in your base he does the most awkward fuckin half smile Edit; I should also mention this does absolutely nothing to the fight behavior, like at all He just does an awkward half sad smile and then goes back to aggro-ing the player He _might_ walk away? But you'll probably be too close for him to wander off before aggro-ing again
Hey, nice to see another video from you! I bought this game a long time ago and played a lot. I always played Wendy. I got about 4 people to buy the game and play it together but everyone kept dying no matter how hard I tried to carry/teach. I got pretty good at the beginning 30-40 days, but then it was too hard to carry another person. I think my best run was in the 40s. I don't like playing games alone, so gave up. I played a lot of the arena event that existed a long time ago and was in one of the first groups to beat it! That was super fun!
Yep I can clear the game no problem solo but add 2 or 3 friends and I’m on babysitting duty doing nothing but reving my teammates cooking and feeding them preparing everything for them and we still all die to deerclops every time

this brings back nostalgia for some reason, back then my friends and i used to play DST and we can barely survive a full year on this game, struggles to EVERYTHING but we enjoyed everytime anyways. awesome video mate! if only we still play DST we can use your vid as a walkthrough and be atleast ORGANIZED on playing DST cause were more chaotic than the game mobs when playing this!
Watching this is just crazy. My runs in the game always end when the wolves come and hunt you down. I've yet to find a means to handle it and they always pop in early on.

When you chop at day 100+ there is a chance about 1.3% to spawn tree guards. At day 100 usually 2-3 spawn (3 maximum) so it's average. The rare stuff is when you chop trees you chop 1 tree 3 of then spawn and you ignore them and chop second tree and again you spawn 3 of them. It's like 1.3%*50*1.3%*50%
I'm almost more impressed by you surviving to 123 days! I don't think I ever made it past 7 days in this game without constantly being killed by something or starving to death - never figured out how to progress which is unfortunate since it looks like a great game and I'm usually a big fan of survival games...
osrs players see something other than osrs and dislike generally. Personally think it's really nice to see jake branch out. His personality is one of the best things about his content
My friends and I got completely obliterated on DST when Deerclops showed up. I can't even comprehend how many bosses there are, nor how to fight any of them. We couldn't dodge Deerclops at all.
