    Definitely would like to see your current rifle load outs. The current climate has me seriously considering either a truck load out or a bag load out for rifles. But I definitely need to invest in the medical side of edc.

      In my opinion, Medical is the most important first step. Get your concealed carry options dialed in, get some medical, get some medical training. Just basic stuff, you don't need a crazy combat medical course. Then it's a solid idea to get a rifle setup in a bag that can be carried anywhere. Thanks for watching!!

      if you do a truck load out please take the firearms out when you get home… a lot of people get their firearms stolen would hate for you to spend all that money on a rifle setup or even handgun for someone to take it while you sleep.

    I really like this because originally I built my 8.5 300blk AR to put in a bad and while I love the ability to be able to transport it whenever needed the weight quickly became an issue once the bag was loaded up with other daily items.
    I ended up building a G17 in a Recover stabalizer for my bag which compliments my daily on body carry of a G19.

    I have a Ready Pack for my day to day EDC but I do plan equipping a larger bag maybe like a Gamut because I have a 90 mile commute with mostly backroads. Thankfully I only have to do that trip a few days a month but if worst case scenario happens and I have to ruck back home there’s no way I could safely do that with my current setup.

    • @KeystoneCarry

      The Gamut is my go to for a larger load out. I love it. Thanks for watching! Stay safe.

    I agree with you 100%. I've been through the Seattle and Portland riots, and now I live near a high crime inner city. I've been a professional gun slinger for about 20 years, but now I also have a family and the liability for doing dumb stuff is way too high. I carry a very small backup gun on my waist (I think a revolver is actually ideal for a couple reasons). Then I carry a backpack with medical, boo boo kit, water, bars, and a scalable chest pack/rig with a large dot and light bearing pistol inside. There is plenty of room left in the pack for day to day EDC. For me, this is ideal for access to high scrutiny areas and social acceptability. Reach out.

    my gear load out has completely changed. I no longer carry a backpack for my carry gun if I’m carrying off body. Instead, I’ve reduced it down to a front carry crossbody. It fits what I need, can be as chill looking to the outside observer as I want it to be, yet I am ready at a drop to open the bag and grab my firearm. There’s enough space for some medical supplies and a tourniquet, as well as room for a wallet. All in all, my theory is to carry what you need and nothing more.

    It's always a good thing to evaluate what is needed for your particular situation and adapt/modify accordingly. I think that with carrying any type of weapon, developing robust empty-handed skills is a must. Bad actors tend not to disclose in advance the place, time and method of their attack. When carrying off-body, a whole new set of skills needs to be developed along with certain strategies to make off-body carry effective and secure. Thanks for sharing your process.

    Mine has shifted a lot too. I now have one bag in my vehicle for getting me home. It’s not a “bug out” bag. It’s a “I need to get back to home”. I do have a hook + loop spot that hasn’t been used yet that I’m considering a possible future home for the psa mp7-at-home. Maybe a flux raider instead

    For my bag gun I use the 5.11 covrt panel molle panel. It has nice pull handle and if you wanted to you could put an amor panel in it if you wanted too. I have a 9mm broken down AR9 strapped to it using Velcro strips

    • @blacksheepgunworks
      @blacksheepgunworks 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Interesting, i use a similar setup, but with the Glock edc bag. Broken down AR9 strapped in with velcro. Plenty of room for macbook(when needed) med supporting gear and edc stuff. Keep a spare flannel shirt in there as well. But, if entering any higher threat areas, the AR9 is pulled for weight and I bring my 11.5 urgi along for the ride, readily accessible, not in a bag.
      Side note, the AR9 is getting a shorter barrel and law folder to eliminate the need to disassemble for bag carry.

    I came to a similar set up a few years ago. I have everything I would need to survive for a few days including medical. I only carry extra magazines and things like a small hand axe and a large knife in my backpack for daily use along with consumables and medical, water purification...etc. If I know I will be gone for more than a day I have a smallish second bag with a 10.5 that I can toss in my truck as well. But for day to day I just carry the bag with with my get home/medical kit.

    Me with my 7" barreled 350 legend (downward ejecting, full ambi) bullpup at a 15.5" OAL without a can and 20" with a wolf9sd in short config. It's like a P90, but better.
    I do quite like my uzi pro thought and still think it's the best PCC on the market currently.
    Definitely jealous that you can have a rifle at work without worrying about getting fired lol.

      How does the 350 legend perform with a short barrel? Does it use similar powder to a 300 blk?

    • @GldenRetriever
      @GldenRetriever 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@JW_Bailey Yeah you can use similar powder with it.
      It performs very well. Better than 300blk. On par with 9x39, which the russians have been fielding for the last 40 years. Maker's makes some nice 280gr HPs for it.

    • @GldenRetriever
      @GldenRetriever 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@eriklambert3809 Depends on the mag. 5, 10, 20, etc. You can convert a 30rd pmag to hold 28-30rds of 350L. Can probably make a drum work with it.

    Love the uzi pro. I want one as an under the coat pdw but i want one in 45 bc most my edc handguns are 45acp .

  • @blacksheepgunworks
    @blacksheepgunworks 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Good content. I also mainly use a smaller 9mm pdw for bag carry when the commute is short and sweet. But, if entering higher risk areas i always switch to the 11.5 urgi in a more accessible position than in a bag. But, my higher risk area is Birmingham, Al, so the potential threat level is pretty high for any passer by as the light fades, unfortunately.

    • @eriklambert3809
      @eriklambert3809 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      B’ham guy here as well. I’ve been debating a smaller 9mm pcc. I do use a 10.3 ugri(pistol) and suppressor as I could have to travel to Jackson, Ms, Chattanooga, Nashville, Tn, and Tupelo, Ms at the drop of a hat as well. It would be nice to have a smaller bag for some places I go into. Options never hurt.
