That IS very interesting! I had to look up where Tristan da Cunha is. In the middle of nowhere! It seems as if the ships went down all around the island. The song is very sad. This was really interesting find, Jerry. You must ram sack your box files some more. 😊
Great mini sheet Jerry! Isn't Tristan Da Cunha the island that issued the potato stamps? Instead of paying cash for stamps, the locals could pay for stamps with potatoes? Not sure Thanks Jerry!
Pretty interesting. Feels a bit morbid also, not sure if that is the right word. But I guess we have seen worse things on postage stamps :-) Where did you find the minisheet? I guess going through bins and boxes and envelopes that have not been touched for months or years is fun because one cannot possibly remember everything that was in there. Thanks for sharing Jerry!
It's interesting, but yes, it's probably slightly morbid, although no different to ww2 remembrance, other tragic events memorials, etc and it's a part of history albeit sad. I found it in boxfile,it has probably been in there a few years😊

Hi Charnie.
I am looking through it as I type this, I am going to do a bit more research about it. Very sad but interesting at the same time.
