Hi Jerry! I am so, so glad that your wife and you are improving, and I wish you complete health soon!!! I liked the German stamps. I like classic old stamps very much, but also newer up to 2024 stamps as well. I heard from many philatelists who don't like the newer stamps, calling them stickers or "wall paper". ... The bat stamp at 12:41 , the rhinoceros stamp at 14:41 , Clara Schumann stamp at 18:37 , and the bird stamps are my favourites. But, many others are very nice as well. I find it difficult to decide what information to add to the stamps, and what and how to use the labels. Thanks for your video!
Hello Charnie, and thank you for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed the video. As for labels, just include the information you want to include, there is no wrong or right way. The bat stamp I think, is one of my favourites along with mickey Mouse. I'm not sure why some collectors refer to the later issues as toilet paper, but each to their own. Best wishes.
You really worked hard on your Germany collection. I really like how it looks. Also the pages with the 8 strips seem to work well for the stamps. I like what you did with writing the labels with 1/3 (1 of 3). I think that is helpful. Labels and in a general sense organising is the biggest part of stamp collecting and I actually like that. Thanks for the video, was nice to see the collecting. And most importantly: very good to hear you are doing a bit better and professional help is around. Remember, TH-cam might feel distant but you have a great community here!
Hi Chris. Thank you for your kind words. It took a lot of time and effort to put it together, but I am finding it very rewarding, I am onto the Bundespost era now, which will take time. My wife is showing improvement, which is great, I take each day as it comes now.
Good luck with the health issues. I bought a couple of large batches of kiloware as well as a batch of Germany and DDR specific and still soaking but will take a while to get mine all organized .Have fun filling the album
Thank you. Germany did produce a lot of stamps, and the different regions make it interesting. I am going to concentrate on the Bundesposr era next. Have fun with your collection, I certainly will with mine 😀
