@@TALIZ0RAH It more or less does work like this, its not made to be confusing to work with, the documentation for its use is rather straightforward. Aerial targets = DIR/ Ground targets = TOP . Theres legit documents for public viewing on how to operate one of these.
@@ghekor I'm not saying what is shown is incorrect, it's that Arma skips steps in the launchers setup and firing. The launcher does not automatically lock on, a target needs to be acquired manually by shaping a box around it and sizing it properly. If you get this step wrong it will miss, you also miss flush coolant into the seeker, so as to cool so that it can see clearly against its surroundings in thermal.
@@TALIZ0RAH true for gameplay purposes some stuff is omitted, still the fact you can use one of these after reading a single page of the operation manual is surprising ragardless

Bevore checking the backblast area, you should also check for farmers who already have the tank tied to their tractor!
As someone that's had experience with a Javelin, that's just a missile tube and they aren't reusable. And the CLU, the computer you use to control and shoot is separate from the actual Javelin missile tube, you have to attach it to each tube and use a different battery for each target because they last like 4 minutes once you try to lock on the count down timer starts. And you aren't actually locking on, you use a D pad to close brackets and get it as close to the size of the target as possible and the target will be in it. The missile detects the object closest to the size you put the brackets as.

Finally figured out how to do this, was playing liberation and had it and was trying to figure it out, I find the image of an elite operator holding a Javelin pulling out his phone to search up a tutorial on how to use a javelin quite funny
I was my platoon’s subject matters expert on the javelin. While I hated lobbing that thing around, it’s become my favorite toy in the game lol.
i went to Javelin School at Ft Benning back in 2006. This is pretty damn accurate. Cheers

nice video but i just thought id let you know the "little V on the front" isnt for deflecting incoming rounds. its the trim vane for breaking water and ice on rivers.
im sure it helps in deflecting rounds as well, flat walls have no chance to deflect head on shots.

Things can have multiple purposes like spare track sections attached to tanks.

The main reason for tanks to have sloped armor is not to ricoche incomming rounds, it is this way because of a better effective armor thickness
It makes the armor thicker and also helps deflect rounds, both of you are right
the packets are not uranium.. they are actually explosives and meant to defeat double or triple charges... The direct mode in this missile is meant for when you are at altitude compared to the target and attack from above....
So only use direct when youre higher than the target?

I am using the RHS variant of the javelin with a lot of mods. The Javelin doesn't work i can't even switch from top down to direct modus and i can't even lock. Can someone help me?
Try using "T" to target instead of TAB that should work then F to switch between top/direct and n to switch to thermal

Actual javelin interface (at least those we have in Ukraine) looks quite different. Target lock also works different.
So my javelin won't lock, I'm using ACE, but I can't go to my controls and configure it either, I am using too many mods that are conflicting with my other mods?

@@MrCodix on the right side of the screen it will have all of your missles interface displays it’ll light up if your in top attack mode or direct (green circle with TOP or DIR in it) only one will
Show up at a time. In the game all the indicators are lit not the case irl. And the way you lock onto a target is different, yes you use track gates but it’s a little more than what it shows in the game.
In arma you don’t have to deal with the pain of setting track gates

you are not very smart :) . The only thing made using polystyrene is the launch unit casing, to save weight. What's the point of making it using metal ?
@@andreiunknown4353 I guess it's to save weight but it could have been made from aluminium as well.
@@konradw360 aluminium is probably 500 times more expensive than polystyrene and also way heavier. The manufacturing process is also more expensive. For the polystyrene casing you basically have 1 or 2 molds and glue them together :)
