please don't throw away the broken fenton or other quality glass. sell it in crafters lots if you would. those of us with tumblers will break them up further, tumble the pieces to look like sea glass and make things out of them. the most popular thing is christmas trees that are lit from the inside with fairy lights.
Anytime I end up with broken or chipped animals I put them in my flower pots and flower beds. I have quite a few birds. Ducks. Dogs n Cats in there. I like them. I hate to throw away something flawed when I buy a box lot at the auction.
I agree don't throw it away, put it in your whatnot sale. somebody who is looking for just a piece even if they can't afford an expensive piece will buy that broken one. I would buy it.
A Glassy Baby is a small glass candle holder (about the size and shape of a stemless wine glass) that 21:44 are beginning to find their way to thrift stores. If the pricing people don't know about GB, they are usually price them relatively low, as they are small; I hear they sell for $100+, so everyone gets excited when they find one!
Yes not everyone likes the same thing. I don't care for glass. I may pick up something to use for serving at holidays or give to neighbors with treats on it. But I pay $1 or less. I do like purses jewelry and baskets. Things that don't bring her joy. But it sure makes me happy. ❤
That “I wove you” black light art is so cool. He is called a “Shmoo” or a “Shmooee”. I had several stuffed ones when I was a kid. Ahhh, good memories!❤
I thought Shmoo was a seal-gohst looking cartoon character with whiskers?❤?I do remember this caveman looking character from the late 60s 70s not sure his name. They are both cute.
Yep, I had a couple of black light posters. My brother and a couple of his friends painted a mural on one wall in his bedroom using black light paint. It was so awesome and trippy.
I too remember the black light posters in the 70's. We had a few as well and a huge black light that hung on the wall to light them all up. We also had a black light in our fish tank and items glowed florescent in the tank. We were the lucky ones who grew up in the 70's. 😁
In high school when we'd have our Spring Concert, our costumes were often made with neon colored fabric and they would glow with a black light. No uranium needed.
I have a yellow bird of happiness I accidently put the black light on it it was beaming bright orange I had no idea. Check your Alexandrite glass some of that glows too. I love the antique yellow bowl.
I'm sure someone would want to give the beakless bird a home. Don't throw it away! Add it to your sale. It's better to make a little money than trash it. Those glowy items are so neat!
I collect the broken and chipped glowy pieces. I think they are just as cool. Collectors don’t want them and they are usually fairly inexpensive. Don’t throw it away.
You scored some great stuff!!! I think your custard glass bird would still sell as is. So many people are infatuated with it right now! Thank you for yet another great video!❤️
Please try to sell the bird before you throw it away. I collect uranium glass and i still buy pieces i love even if they are chipped or cracked. Someone might love him as he is .
Won a black light poster when I was a kid at the state fair. I loved it! My dad came into my room that night and took it down because that pretty leaf was a pot leaf, I had no idea I was a little kid who loved my glowing poster, lol! Glow getters are always fun to find.👍
I got that little kitty curled up with the mouse when it was new... it came with a little basket and plaid bedding. I got it at one of those home show things that were big in the 80s. I was just a kid (1977 baby)
Me too! I just commented the same but forgot that it had a basket. I just remembered the plaid cushion. I still have mine. 😊 Hopefully I still have the basket too.
My daughter has two doll's teasets in boxes, like the one you found. Thay belonged to her 93 year old Granny. One set is in excellent condition, the other, that her Granny loved more, has a couple of pieces missing but has a tin tea strainer and teaspoon with it. Very occasionally they come out for supervised tea party for my 3 year old grandaughters Ruby and Tilly.
I was surprised she left that lusterware tea set just because a piece was missing. I see partial sets listed quite often. Those early lusterware sets are quality.
I recently bought a Fenton vase at an estate sale without checking it over. Huge crack. Well luckily I make stained glass so I’m going to break it up, grind it down and make pendants :)
The orange cat and little gray mouse is from House of Lloyd/Christmas Around the World. In home party stuff way back in the 80's :) It used to sit in a little wicker basket.
Finally, u picked up a piece of good Art!!! Ive wondered for soong what happened to those cool pictures & u were with Andrew & he said buy them all & l waited & waited & never to be seen again.
Jocelyne I was shocked on how loud that music was! I feel for you having to try and shop with that going on! You have a great eye for the good stuff! I wish are Goodwills had decent stuff, all of ours here in northern Indiana look like after garage sale junk that most should just be tossed in the trash. Have a great day!
I bought that sleeping cat and mouse figurine back in the early 80’s brand new at a home party and I still have it. It came with a little plaid red and green rectangular cushion. It’s a strange feeling when you see things you bought new that are considered vintage now. 😂🤣🤣
@1:26. I picked up an Israeli piece like that, except not drippy, more like splotches. (It had a label) The one u picked up is drippy. From what LITTLE I could find, the drippy stuff may be the artist in the US.
Most people don’t know that Visine eye drops glow. In the 70’s we would draw on our faces and go into a room that had a black light. I don’t know if Visine today still have that same ingredients.
Yes they make more money by pulling the liners out of the longs Berger’s baskets, just like some of them individually pricing pieces that are obviously a set, s/p shakers, bookends, cups and saucers...
You are right about the orange glowy stuff being cadmium! That is really my favorite glowy stuff. But it's super toxic (like uranium's not, right?!). Really great finds in this video! That cookie jar is all sorts of cute!

Can you share a search term or link? I’d love to see what you’re talking about.❤

I’m trying to get into that kind of crafting. It sounds like a lot of fun.
Oh w
I agree don't throw it away, put it in your whatnot sale. somebody who is looking for just a piece even if they can't afford an expensive piece will buy that broken one. I would buy it.
I found a red glassy baby this week at the Canton, Texas flea market for .50!!!
Man I just have missed that one. We were there Wednesday and Thursday.
Linda, Good for you. I bet you got excited.👍
Please, what is a glassy baby?😅

At 11:04 listen to the woman in the background get excited over finding the Longaberger baskets Jocelyn just passed on.

I heard that, too! 😊
The pink cat is a bank. The hold in the bottom is for the stopper. Its a rubber stopper shaped exactly like the hole.
That “I wove you” black light art is so cool.
He is called a “Shmoo” or a “Shmooee”.

I had that poster.. instant memories the moment I saw it!

I think you are thinking of Captain Caveman, but this guy looks more hippy-ish! LOL
Had a poster, too
I love the little bird with his broken beak.
She could 'lot up' broken items and put them up for auction, I bet many would want them.
Jocelyn, you would have loved the teenage bedrooms in the 70’s. So many glowy posters.
Yep, I had a couple of black light posters. My brother and a couple of his friends painted a mural on one wall in his bedroom using black light paint. It was so awesome and trippy.
And beaded curtains, lamp shades. drawer pulls and soooo much more. I hated when the black light bulbs burnt out. LOL
And smiley faces everywhere ...oh and a David Cassidy poster! 🤣🤣😊
I too remember the black light posters in the 70's. We had a few as well and a huge black light that hung on the wall to light them all up. We also had a black light in our fish tank and items glowed florescent in the tank. We were the lucky ones who grew up in the 70's. 😁
I shared a room with my sister while growing up and the older we got we each made our side of the room our own special style.
I swear I’m not stalking your videos. You just happen to post at my relaxing time. ❤😂
Agree. It's CLL time
Stalking allowed I hope.

Wow, that poster immediately took me back to head shops of the early 70s!
I’ve learned a lot from you, Jocelyn, and I’m 76 years old!!! Never too old to learn something new, right???
Cadmium makes it glow orange. Great haul
And Cardamom is the spice.
Lol I was going to say that!
I collect the broken and chipped glowy pieces. I think they are just as cool. Collectors don’t want them and they are usually fairly inexpensive. Don’t throw it away.

Oh that poster. They were on a lot of walls back when I was in college! Years not mentioned! LOL
Oh, some of us can guess! Like, we were there too! Lol
That picture is soooo cute!
How fun! Fun at the shop
I am often amazed at how you keep going. You never stop. You deserve many Blessings, beautiful soul, may they all be yours.
The painting is really nice 🧡

Please pass the cadmium, said no one ever!! 😂. Very cute!
I love all the glowing stuff! Even that poster!
Love all of your glassware and trinkets.
The I Wove You Poster is AWESOME 👌
I think that dusty original art is going to be amazing with a quick clean in the shop!
Okay I agree, don't throw the Fenton bird away. I would buy it also, it's pretty
I recently bought a Fenton vase at an estate sale without checking it over. Huge crack. Well luckily I make stained glass so I’m going to break it up, grind it down and make pendants :)
Love all your finds today
And all that glowy glass is wonderful too!!!
The bird with the broken beak, could sit on a rock in your garden.
I've done that with a blue satin Fenton bird, just like the one Jocelyn has.
I have a little ceramic bunny with a chipped ear sitting in my garden. Not all chipped things should be passed on.
@@virginiaf.5764 Only one? 🤣That is what I collect is one eared bunnies! I have 4 right now.
@@symptomoftheuniverse4149 Funny. If they get hard to find, you could buy complete bunnies and chip or break an ear off. 🐰🐇
@@virginiaf.5764 🙃
Can’t wait for your what not train tomorrow!!!🧡🧡

I love how much you love original art. Yay. That is a good, Goodwill.
That poster yes Jocelyn is fantastic love it 🦋💜🦋
Finally, u picked up a piece of good Art!!! Ive wondered for soong what happened to those cool pictures & u were with Andrew & he said buy them all & l waited & waited & never to be seen again.
the Prospero Design Works tray was a sleeper, they can go for $50 to hundreds of dollars.
I have the sleeping cat with the little mouse. He came with an oval shaped wicker basket that has a plaid cushion in it.
People make jewelry with broken pieces, sell those broken beauties in a special crafter’s show ❤️
Love glowy glass 😊
Some beautiful glowing glass. Please don’t throw the bird away. I’m sure someone will buy it at a discount.
Got out my pots from last year. Cleaning a ceramic flower pot I’ve had a couple of years, I was shocked to see Fenton stamped on the bottom! 🥹
as soon as you sale the glowey container you will find the lid. that is the way of the world.
The I wove you black light poster is cool 60s flower power
Don't throw the bird away, It WILL sell as is!❤
I play Mahjong every week -- I need to find those snack bowls 😊
Those small baskets you passed up are from Longaberger. They used to go for $40+/each. You might want to go back and snatch em up.
I agree with the others! Don’t throw anything away! Sell as is! Someone will give that little bird a good home!
I am pretty sure the goose is actually a nene, which is a native Hawaii goose ❤
I agree!
cadmium = glowy and cardamom = spice :)
Love these late evening videos ❤

What’s funny is I work at a Safeway in California and I recognize the Muzak. We have the same songs on repeat
I think u get used to it. Our GW has louder than that, but it is not pleasant.
A very lite touch of a worn-out emery board would fix the beak of your fenton bird. I get mine from my nail tech.😊
Hello everyone, one this lovely sunny day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can clean oils with a soft cloth and saliva. Learned that tip from a museum restorer and tried it and it works. Go figure,!
"I wove you" is SO '70s!!! Serious flashback.
Look at the leaves...stem...that's a strawberry.
That doesn't make sense to not look at ebay sold comps. Agree with you.
Black light posters in the 70's and black light items in your fish tank in the 70's! 😁
At 3:49 there are some schleich figurines in their boxes that can be worth some money depending on the prices
I heard someone in the background yell “Longerburger”
Looks like an apple cookie jar with a strawberry lid.
I.WANT.THAT.PAINTING!!
You should see it cleaned up! 😍
@@CrazyLampLady yes please! Lol

Manganese glows reddish orange. Called persimmon glass.
The Reuven glass vase and the Pam and Mac candle holder (man skiing) are amazing! I collect both!!
What a great Walk-through and behind the scenes at the shop. Have a great Whatnot sale. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Don't throw the little bird away......give him back to the Goodwill!
I WOVE the hairy creature with a daisy.
I still have the sombrero guy! It’s a deco party purchase. Pepe still lives in our patio

YES! I thought I was the only one who remembered that! Lolo
Thanks for the video and I will catch you on the next one
I saw a video of a man picking at a NY goodwill and I thought I would love to hear Jocelyn comment on his picks!
Yes they make more money by pulling the liners out of the longs Berger’s baskets, just like some of them individually pricing pieces that are obviously a set, s/p shakers, bookends, cups and saucers...
I love the floral painting. Is it poppies? Very moody!
Jocelyn, don't throw that beautiful Fenton bird away...there will be people who would love her and fix her one way or the other..🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰
It's cadmium - found a lot in Akro Agate, too. And please don't throw out the beakless bird. I would buy it.
Uranium glass glows
LOL "never heard the end of it" people can be so critical
Make a box of broken glass and pottery for mosaic artists 🎨 ❤
You are right about the orange glowy stuff being cadmium! That is really my favorite glowy stuff. But it's super toxic (like uranium's not, right?!).
Really great finds in this video! That cookie jar is all sorts of cute!
It glows from Uranium Oxide as well 😊
The white ironstone is a great seller right now. The creamers, bowls, plates, pitchers etc ❤
Were you thinking of the word cadmium when you said the orange glow word?
Your right the music was loud. Thank you for what you do
Lol, Jocelyn! You need to save the black lite art for Andrew’s next Valentine’s Day! It’s such a gorgeous weirdo! 😂😂😂
Omg I’d love the glowy swan as I don’t have one and I’m guessing since I’m watching this 2 weeks later it’s long gone (shedding a tear)
LOL! Cadmium is a toxin! You definitely do not put it on food. It is in some paints, though. I think the spice you are thinking of is cardimum.
Cardamom?
I would totally buy that glowy bird with the broken beak!
Thanks 😊
Came to write same as Laura. I would repair the beak with white clay. Many things serve another purpose
Thanks for sharing! 💞✌
Love watching you
Love your hair!
Cadmium glows. Cardamom seasons. 😊
