I feel like Riven didn't kill Elder Soma and she's only saying that she did it because of the memories flooding back and the guilt she feels about everyone dying. Well, that's what I hope for anyway.

holy. sacred. vagina But if they were the ones responsible for Souma's death why wouldn't they blame another person for it (in this case, Riven can be charged as guilt with ease) ?

I actually do think riven killed elder souma and yasuo gets word of that, challanges her and thats how it ends,
that they are rivals to the end, doomed to fight, although riven doesnt want
actually riven would just give up and die by yasuos blade
I mean her sword metal was the one found in Elder Soma and he sword released wind style magic when the pieces were brought together...in that case I would personally even without her confessing that she was the muderer bro.
Hate these two as in-game champs, but love them as story characters

I love these confessions of a broken blade. Master konte and his wife seem like really nice people and just them with riven make me cry. Plus rivers my favourite and only top laner I can play but that’s irrelevant.

I'm calling it: The plot twist will be the elder's killer stabbed the shard into his neck to put the blame on the Noxian renegade(maybe the murder method was not even a wind technique, only the shard's wind magic was what the investigators detected) as a diversion in a plan B if Yasuo would prove his innocence somehow so it wouldn't be obvious that he was framed. Also being a Noxian weapon the seeming murder weapon Yasuo would get punished anyway for having the elder killed by the enemy by his fault for leaving his post.

Naru I think that after Riven wandered she made it to Elder Souma who attacked her because he recognized she was noxian. Then Riven killed him in self defense.

Akira Leelarapin I think it's like a metaphor. The symbols of the blade represent the past she can't remember, and when brought together in front of her judgement, it made her remember.

INB4 we find out the magic of the sword forced her to kill Souma. The blade itself was forged with magic and then infused again with the dark magic of that bomb on the battlefield. The combination of the magics or the souls of those killed in the blast drove her mad to the point she killed Souma in a fit of rage.

To all those who got bored watching heres a short summary of what happened: a shard of rivens blade is found within elder souma, she is found guilty and she admitts that she did killed souma but note that theres also something fishy about the warrior priests and his adept bcz theyre both nervous as hell.

I think she didn't mean to kill the elder I think she went to the elder for help and when she attempted to break the blade the shards flew everywhere and one found the elders neck

I think yasuo is going to save riven; I don't think he can bring himself to kill her seeing as how she's so similar to him. Though he will "accompany" her to keep her in check.

ok i hope we get a chapter 3 but as for this chapter
let me start by showing my bias, i love Noxus or to be more correct the new Noxus. the changes that came with Swain's rework and the effects of Swain coup vs Darkwill. the way i always saw Riven's story was that after the Chem attacks she placed herself in exile for two reasons, first because she felt like she did not deserve to survive the horrors she saw that day, and second the fear that Noxus was not as she believed it to be, so for me reading her story has always been followed by me shouting "but thats not the case anymore, Swain and Darius both are apposed with you that ~Singed's~ bombs." i do think that if Swain or Darius tried to re-recruit Riven she would say no even if she wanted to return, because she could not trust either herself or Noxus.
also, the next chapter better disprove or move away from Riven being the elder's killer because i have never been a fan of that theory.
