Great video! This gal was focused on the project and described exactly what she was doing without a lot of unnecessary talking. Video taker was awesome as well.
I just happened upon your video and the name intrigued me. I have to say your video was one of the best I’ve seen. You provide such thorough and detailed explanations of every step, anticipating any questions that might arise that I know I can do this! I will watch further to see how to create the actual bowl shape but I do think I will make some new placements! Thank you!
Thank you so very much!! My husband and I took out the berber carpet in our livingroom 2 years ago and we put in hardwood floor. Our dogs have not been able to run to play fetch with toys very well on the slippery floor. I've been wanting to get a big decorative carpet, but do not have the funds to get one, yet. Watching you has given me some GREAT ideas using cotton cording and some neutral color fabrics..... (not to do a circle or oval rug), but to incorporate a few other ideas - to create an amazing rug for our living room and hallway!!! I will try to post pics as I go along and work on this project!
A helpful hint would be to place books or magazines next to your machine, the same height, so your wider project doesn't hang off the machine on the left-hand side. Fun project!
You explained everything so clear. Thank you. I have been making bowls, rugs, placemats, chair pads and next want to make a purse. You do nice work. I lea Ned even more tricks. Thank you again.
Thank you! This is the most instructive and clearly explained video I have seen on making clothesline crafts, especially wrapping the cord with fabric! You're a great teacher!
What thread should we use? cotton? polyester? all purpose? Thank you for your clear instructions. Can't wait to get working on some coasters and trivets 🙂
Excellent tutorial and very well explain, we are located in Panama City, Republic of Panama, my wife was looking for this kind of tutorial, thanks and continue making others videos.
Really enjoyed your video. Thank you and I love the way you get to the point with no nonsense. You seem so sweet honest and helpful. 😎👍🌸❤️ God bless you for making the video
I’m from Vernon! So nice to see someone on TH-cam from my part of the world. My daughter and her husband are just building a home in that area so I hope to be able to visit your shop. Really enjoyed the demo. Couple of things I would like to see. If you could show the start of a project with the wrapping, ie. how to get going. And it would be good to see how you sew a basket with wrapping, ie. turning from the bottom to the wall, going up the sides. Thanks!
I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up 👍 too. I really really enjoyed watching this, and you certainly are very good at showing us how to make these things. Thank you so much. Please stay safe and well too.
Thank you...I thought since they were being “wound” around the rope, they were suppose to be. I’m glad to know you didn’t...now I know how good my bowls can look w/o bias and do straight of grain instead! Thanks again!
Thanks for this great detailed video. I have made a few rope projects mostly bowls and placemats. However, I am going to undertake a larger entry rug. I was wondering if you have a formula on how long to make the initial strip for a rug that would be 35 by 70?
This was amazing!! Thank you for making this video- I have wanted to try this but was frankly intimidated by it. After seeing this I might just have to give it a whirl:). Happy Holidays!
thank you very much ma'am ..my mother asked me to do this for her and finally i found soeone doing those table sets with sewing machine ...cause gluing is not actually very resistable
I am going to have to watch your intro twice. Your studio is so gorgeous, and is so filled with gorgeous distraction I am missing what you are saying ; )
Like someone else pointed out. Wouldn't u wrap fabric around the cording and the wind, instead of placing strips of sewing fabric on top of the sewn together cording??
What does it mean if the center of my placemat keeps trying to “pucker up”? I can’t get it to lay flat and then it starts causing the entire placemat to curl. I’m stuck!
I would roll up the fabric strips, and then you can easily wind and wrap the cord like you would with a bandage, and you wouldn't have to deal with the length of it getting wound up.
Great video! This gal was focused on the project and described exactly what she was doing without a lot of unnecessary talking. Video taker was awesome as well.
This is exactly why I keep telling my husband I need 2 machines. Lol. I love these kind of projects.
Thank-you soooooo much . Your video popped up .I can not wait to make a rug !!!
Love the way you are very clear but you move right along. Great job!😊

All the above are good comments but I still need to know how to add the ropes to make it bigger
I like how you finish the end, great help, thank you.

Looks like lots of fun thank you for sharing 🥰🤗
Wondering if your fabric strips were on the bias? It didn’t look like it but wanted to ask...thanks for the tutorial.
They don't need to be on the bias.
Thank you...I thought since they were being “wound” around the rope, they were suppose to be. I’m glad to know you didn’t...now I know how good my bowls can look w/o bias and do straight of grain instead! Thanks again!
Thanks for the tips! Very helpful.

Love it, you are so awesome! I love your patience, Thank you so much!
Love this, haven't got the nerve to try it yet.
Love this! Must try this for little Christmas gifts!
Hello, I’m new to your channel and I absolutely love this project! I can’t wait to scroll through your videos! 😁
How do you fold up the sides of the bowls
York work is beautiful.
Great tutorial. Well done.
Do you perhaps use any cotton thread?
Enjoyed this video..thanks
How do you keep your rug flat?. I've sewn mine and it doesn't lay flat.
I have a Pfaff machine that is old, but a workhorse. I bet it would work great for this project.
This was amazing!! Thank you for making this video- I have wanted to try this but was frankly intimidated by it. After seeing this I might just have to give it a whirl:). Happy Holidays!
Loved the video.
Thumbs up and subscribed, but how do the bowls 🥣 get their shape. Can't wait to try this
Loved this video and can’t wait to try it!!!
thank you very much ma'am ..my mother asked me to do this for her and finally i found soeone doing those table sets with sewing machine ...cause gluing is not actually very resistable
Very beautiful! I love your video! 😍 i would like to try myself..but i dont understand what type cord do You use (cotton?) and how mm is? Thx
I am going to have to watch your intro twice. Your studio is so gorgeous, and is so filled with gorgeous distraction I am missing what you are saying ; )

Thanks for this video! Love it!
I can't seem to be able to keep my mat flat no matter what I try. Any suggestions?
Like someone else pointed out. Wouldn't u wrap fabric around the cording and the wind, instead of placing strips of sewing fabric on top of the sewn together cording??
Замечательно! Спасибо огромное за идею!! А можно будет потом стирать в стиральной машине? Будет форму терять? Или поутюжить можно?
how do you wash these placemats? do you handwash them or can you machine wash them? don't want them to fall apart.
Great instructions!
How do you fold up to do the sides of the bowl?
Are these items washable?
Très joli, j’adore ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
Will the fabric fray at the edges when washed since the edge is raw & not finished?
Great video
Great detail!
I love this!!
What does it mean if the center of my placemat keeps trying to “pucker up”? I can’t get it to lay flat and then it starts causing the entire placemat to curl.
I’m stuck!
What is the final size of the oval placemat?
What a good idea!😃
Where do you get the clothesline rope at?
You are fantastic
I would roll up the fabric strips, and then you can easily wind and wrap the cord like you would with a bandage, and you wouldn't have to deal with the length of it getting wound up.
Does it have to be cotton?
All I looked at are poly something inside. What is inside yours?
How do you add the next rope
3.16 inch wide?
love this
omg :O easy better then a jelly roll.
Exelente....!!!!!
Please what the name of the rob what i can write to the Amazon they have many kind

How do you keep the fabric from fray?
You could use fray check or cut on bias
Shoot...thought you were gonna show the bowl😤
Очень интересно, но очень много слов, больше показывайте, как делать
Пожалуйста!
