This song is absolutely beautiful. Little River Band had several massive hits in the late 70s. I still krank them and sing at the top of my lungs when they come on the radio. What prompted the review of a beautiful classic rock tune?

The other day I was listening to a reaction on some song from the early 70s and, I commented that the first time I'd heard that song, it was on an AM radio and I was wearing Hip Huggers... Now it's digital and I have an AARP card!

Somehow this video showed up on my home page and I had to check it out. My brother introduced me to this group in 1977 and I loved from the first notes to “It’s a Long Way There”! I was hooked and had to hear more. One of my top 10 groups from the 70’s!!

I caught my hubby watching this video. They were the first concert I ever attended while up at Rick's Junior College in Rexburg, Idaho. It is an affiliate of BYU. Your video and your commentary was spot on. I was born in '63 so I was a teen in the 70's & early eighties. Yes baby, IT WAS AMAZING TO LIVE DURING THOSE YEARS and if I could run a loop in my life continuously until the end of time, it would be this. IT WAS A BLAST!!! I am sorry you missed it. Believe me, I lived enough for the both of us....lololol I look forward to listening to more of your videos. Thank You for posting this! It brought back some wonderful memories.

This one, if I close my eyes, reminds me of driving around in a 1973 HQ Holden, full of cigarette smoke on a hot day in the late 70s in Victoria, Australia. Strange how particular tunes remind you of a certain time or place.

"and I love you best, you're not like the rest!" Wow! I almost forgot about these guys. They were part of the so-called 'bubble gum rockers' of the 70's.😁 They had *perfect* harmonies, good music, and great stage presence. I often wonder where they all ended up... Real people, playing Real instruments, that's what it was all about, and it was the little imperfections that made it what it was... sometimes those imperfections actually were used in future performances. Great reaction, thanks PMH!😍👍👍

LRB was the bomb in the late 70's, they have amazing greatest hits album, every song a winner, please react to "It's A Long Way There", harmonies are incredible. They (sort of) still tour, through some extensive legal battles, one member who joined the band later ended up with the name Little River Band, and 3 of the originals (the main talent) regrouped as Birtles Shorrock Goble.

If you liked that, you'll LOVE their song "It's A Long Way There": make sure you get the full 8 min version, not the cut-down single version, so that you get all of those cool harmonies plus an _amazing_ guitar solo. I'm surprised to read that it was first released in 1975, because to me, it's still the epitome of the 1960s hippy vibe.
