Love this song! Little River Band is a great soft rock band from Australia. You've done a few of their songs already. They had a lot of great hits especially in the 70's-80's such as "Reminiscing", "Cool Change", "Happy Anniversary", "Lonesome Loser", "Help Is On Its Way", "Take It Easy On Me", "The Other Guy", "We Two" etc.
My uncle was an over the road truck driver and his CB handle was Lonesome Loser. He'd take me out with him on like summer vacation, but anyhow I always thought it was a cool handle. He was a great Uncle...RIP Uncle Duane

Little River Band didn't draw the huge publicity that many big bands of the 70's did, maybe because they played a lot of small venues. They did occasional tours with other name bands, but when not on tour they spent a lot of their time on the small stages. You could find them in Georgetown (Washington D.C), Baltimore, northern Virginia frequently. I went into a club once and they were playing as an "unadvertised" headliner...
Nice reactions to Little River Band's "Lady". They had a number of hits and I'll recommend "Cool Change" which has a real Zen vibe. You need to have video w the dolphins, it's epic.

In the 70s (into 1980) we had Lady by Styx, by LRB, and by Kenny Rogers (written by Lionel Ritchie) - three separate songs, each one excellent in its own way.
Lionel also wrote Three Times A Lady for the Commodores.and sang on a hit Lady You Bring Me Up with his band the Commodores, written by another band member; this may be why the band passed on Lady so he decided to send it to Kenny Rogers and produced the record for him.

They all blame their past misfortunes on the current guy! Ladies you should take each man one at a time and not judge them all by the past idiots you've run into!
