In today's video I showcase what $100 USD can buy you while traveling Rome, Italy. Italy is known for being one of the richest and most expensive cities in the world but does that mean you can't travel here on a budget? Throughout this video I showcase prices for out hotel, transportation, food, and some other cheap/free things to do.
Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world for its delicious food, history, and how it's relatively affordable to other parts of Italy.

As an Italian guy I'm really grateful for these kind of videos, because they truly show the beauty of my country. Nice work! Of course you couldn't know the city very well as a tourist, but I can assure you that you could actually buy much more with 100$. 9€ for a pizza Margherita is a lot, we usually pay it 4-5€, maybe even 3-3.50€ in some cities. Cappuccino and cornetto usually cost about 2.50€ together. The most beautiful part about Italy is that money doesn't mean quality. Many restaurants are really affordable and offer you top quality food, while the expensive places don't always offer you the same quality. And if noone told you: gianduja is a variant of chocolate, which has its origin in my city, Torino, in the North West of Italy. Gianduja has less cocoa and more hazelnut in it. It was born because Napoleon had put a commercial block to Italy and cocoa had become not so easy to get at those times. Gianduja is the name of the tipical carnival mask of Torink and the man with that mask used to distribute gianduja among the population during the carnival. Thanks again for your work, I hope you will come back to Italy soon!

We got a lot of beautiful cities full of art, culture, history. Torino (Turin), Bologna, Milano (Milan), Napoli (Naples), Venezia (Venice), Palermo, Cagliari, Trento; also smaller cities are full of things to see and enjoy. Italy is not just Rome and Naples :')
As an Italian I visited Rome 5 times but it's not one of my favorite city. In fact there's always too much people and I don't really enjoy it. Personally, my favorite city is Brescia (Brixia). Full of roman architecture, good food and less less people (and queues) so you can see a lot of monuments in just one day

steep prices for Italy. Where I am from in the mountains, a place called asiago, you can get a pizza for 4 dollars average price and it would taste just as good.

      nono, wait!
idk where does she live. pizza margherita is usually 4.50 / 5€ and i live in a small village in the middle of nothing
more than 6.00€ is considered expensive
big cities (apart from Naples) are more expensive of course

Obviously (but it true in all the world) if you go in Rome the price is quite high... usually in Italy the prices are lower than Rome... as the prices are higher in New York than Lexington (Kentucky).

Would love to see more US based budget challenges in say Philadelphia, Boston, midwest (Boulder, CO) and CA? Love the NYC videos. Used to do dance performance photography in NY mainly at the Joyce but been a while since i’ve been back so definitely enjoy the NYC vids. Love the way you do the videos, it can be just a vlog about pizza 🍕 and always well done. The storytelling is always top notch.
