“Originals of this were very pricey, but here’s a reissue” ….moves on without mention what the record is….🙄
Hurry up and get your Phil Collins record 😂
Christopher Cross is an underrated guitarist. If you can find on TH-cam, there’s a video of his guitar part on the outro of Ride Like the Wind and he shreds
He's clearly hiding his love of Christopher Cross, you can hear it when he says "Ride Like the Wind."
Check out Rick Beato's interview with Chris Cross. Amazing info...Cross sez in his (Texas) Hard Rock band daze, they opened for Zeppelin a few times & Cross himself sat in with Deep Purple when Richie Blackmore fell ill before the concert.
There's no such thing as Yacht Rock. The millions of people who bought soft rock music of the 70s didn't have yachts
Great point. The market for those records dwarfed the market for yachts. Plenty of "common people" bought them, not just a small group of yuppies listening on their yachts. The market for punk rock was far more limited and elitist, haha. Well, at least here in the US.
There absolutely a thing known as Yacht Rock. Look up the history of Yacht Rock before making baseless comments.
@@skrem23 you’re calling what I say an baseless assumption? I guess I have to be the one to tell you…the term Yacht Rock was count about 25 years ago, but the music that YOU idiots call yacht rock is 40 and 50 years old, which at that time was referred to as simply soft rock or AM GOLD. Now,,,you calling it yacht rock is really asinine assumption… because you assume that the millions on the copies sold were by yacht owners
Can you update website filters to have the option to filter by "in stock", "out of stock", AND "preorder"? Would make much more usable.
Excellent Thievery Corporation reissue !
That Arooj Aftab and Thievery Corporation records are just fantastic.
Mike watch The Beach Boys doc very good
Thank you for doing this every week. Greetings from Germany❤🇩🇪
I always thought of Greg Cohen or Bill Laswell as the greatest jazz bassist. Anyway, some great new releases.
Great job, entertaining.....thanks
Police Synchronicity yes!
A commercial within an infomercial ?😂
Thanks for taking our minds of the state of the country.A much appreciated reprieve.
Mornin Mike! Edit: hope Mofi doesn't take forever with VH2
I keep looking for the SACD. I thought it was supposed to ship in April....typical mofi.....
19:33 had me dead lmao
I just wanna know how many John Coltrane records AP has released? Gotta be hundreds...
Used to be a huge Oasis fan. Would love to see a AAA version of definitely maybe, if such a thing is even possible.
So is there any difference between the Monk/Coltrane OJC released last year & the new Analog Productions?
Måneskin opened a few shows for the Stones, so I’d assume they’d be ok with one of the members wearing a tongue logo t-shirt on an album cover.
Aint no body trying to get a Bob Mould box. lol That dude was confident.
You are 100% correct on your Styx/Dennis DeYoung observation. Dennis actually tours with members of a former Styx cover band and they nail it, every time I've seen him. The linup currently holding the name Styx is competant but Dennis is a showman. I wish he could have a residency here in Las Vegas but I don't know if there are enough Styx fans out there to keep it going.
How much do we like Yacht Rock? A Hell of a lot more than Jazz!
Highly recommend the Thelonious Monk album "Brilliant Corners". Album that got me into jazz. The Sound quality of that album is amazing.
Where is the Black Sabbath box ?????
Box sets always come via ground service and show up Thursday or Friday plus Monday was a holiday.
Best jazz bassist? Buster Williams.
Jaco.
@@nwjazz Buster.
