I'm glad I'm not the only one that cries over their pantry haul. Lost my hubby 3 yr.s ago in April & now my SS doesn't cover what I need so last year I started to go to the pantry. I still get teary eyed but I don't cry. Feeling so blessed. I used to be the one donating. Tables turned. Prayers to you & your family

I both contribute to and use pantries as my retirement finances go each month. When we use a pantry we are giving the givers the gift of allowing them to help others. There is no shame in the interdependence of a community. Use the pantry as you need and smile. God bless.

We have a food pantry about 20 minutes from my house once a month third Saturday they had four pack of 10 each propel individual packets kiwi strawberry grape raspberry lemonade and berry nobody was taking them I went to take 4 of the four packs and the lady asked me if I would like the whole box of 24 boxes she said nobody was taking them. I said yes and took quite a few of them to our share box downtown my daughter drinks the kiwi strawberry and grape and was thrilled to get those she said now you need to buy some water my reply was we have water that comes out of the faucet refill a bottle my mom and her "friends" at the nursing home enjoy them. That's 24 boxes of 40 count each. Didn't get a whole lot of anything else but that Propel was worth the trip

I love your speech, it touched me so much ❤you have no idea, I feel so judged as I lost my job due to medical reasons and we are now a one income family hardly hanging on and what you said 100 percent true! Sometimes after bills we have 60.00 for 2 weeks groceries for 3 of us and we both know that isn’t happening so thankful for food banks and folks that understand the middle class is hurting and we don’t qualify for food stamps as we have worked all our lives for what we have and don’t want to give it up! And we pay high taxes and such for others to get food stamps but don’t let the middle class need help it’s denied, that’s a great haul too❤

The toast pack that you are referring to is usually referred to as rusks. They cannot be cooked with or baked with to make French toast or anything else. They are extremely similar to a dry cracker that you can put anything on, cream cheese, pb&, luncheon meat etc.
If you try to soak it in egg it will just become a lump of mush, it will not hold its shape at all.

Stale tortilla chips can be “refreshed” by warming them up in the microwave for a few seconds, if you don’t have a microwave you can do it in the oven.

@@Myfavorites877 why is it sad? I chose to not clutter up my countertops with anymore small appliances and an air fryer doesn’t do anything my actual oven can’t do. My kitchen, my choice. If you want one, have one it doesn’t hurt anyone and me not having one doesn’t hurt anyone except the manufacturer’s 🤷🏻‍♀️.

@@desertfamilyhomestead3127 i’m sorry I guess I misunderstood. I thought you meant you couldn’t afford one.
As someone who grew up poor and was constantly running out of propane gas for our stove, those small appliances (like toaster ovens and electric skillets) probably saved lives a few times to feed children that needed fed.

I was at the pantry too today. I only had like a 20-minute wait, not many people there today. They have this QR code thing to sign in. You wait in your car, then they let you see your wait on the app, and then send you a text when they are ready for you. There were only like 45 people before me. It's been like 115 before.

I live in central California and we have nothing like this; I’m amazed at the food pantries back East! This is so crazy, I know we have some food banks but nothing like what you’re getting! One more reason to leave California, where working people like me need a little assistance!

That's mexican toast. I grew up on this. I dont think you can make French toast out of them bc of how dry they are. We would put sweetened condensed milk on top and have it for dessert. You could try Nutella or even make bread crumbs.

The toast isn't like toast you make yourself in a toaster. Its hard and brittle like a baby's teething rusk. You use them like a cracker or crispbread. We get some here that are round and called Danish Toasts, Bimbo is a bread brand in Spain.

Apple cider vinegar is great for your hair. I use it instead of shampoo and conditioner! Use about a quarter of a cup mixed with about a cup of water. Pour it on your hair leave for a couple minutes and rinse. You'll never go back to shampoo. You can had a drop of essential oil if you don't like the smell of vinegar.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
    Hebrews 9:27
1 Thessalonians 4:14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
what verse in the Bible says we would be doing things in heaven now? If we are born again we rest until LORD JESUS comes back.
