This video is from 10 years ago. I have a feeling mr. finbar does not do this stuff anymore which is really too bad for everyone. This guy was the only one that helped out of the 4 that I watched.
Bro, thank you for this video. You saved me. And the way you explain things is 2nd to none. If I were to ask you to show me a particular song would you please? Thank you either way sir.
Great 👍 video. What I learned most about bass is that out of all instruments other than drums it's the most fun to play. I would say drums and bass are tied for 1st for the fun of it.
I'm back for another FinBar lesson Dude! Where's that minty fresh head? I love that big bald thing. To note...I seem to have these short, little Trump-like digits that make playing this big bass a physical task of consequence for a life long banjo picker. I am becoming pretty good at using an open string if there is one available. This practice has produced a different "tone" to many tunes as we know them from the studio recordings. Q....is this a bad thing?
I've got small hands. It's hard for me to play things that require a long reach. But you learn to work with what you got. I too have learned to incorporate open notes to make things a little easier.

The encouragement you give in the 1st minute or so is absolute gold to me, even as a veteran player. Thanks bud!
Thanks. Some other video was teaching it wrong but you got me straightened out

The link above is not working.
👍🏻
its a lot easier if you tune the g string up a whole step
Sure, it is just a lot harder to intonate your instrument for each song.

It's no wonder the guy don't do this anymore with people tellin him he's wrong.
How 'bout discovering that a bass with fret markers would be even more helpful?
That’s a fuckin mess
Don't show this video to Tom, sorry ! That's sound and look not like the way he play.
