Bangkok Taxi Colour Guide: The yellow/green taxis are the ones owned by the driver. The red/blue ones are rental taxis where the driver pays a set amount per day to drive it. The single colour taxis are company taxis.
I’m not a car guy but I keep getting excited watching your motor videos man. Good work. You keep showing the stuff that I don’t see here and make me want to get around more.
Chad, I have to say that your videos about Bangkok are the best. You are so different. You go so deep into the heart of her that no foreigner ever did before. I give you 👍 up ! From a native Bankokian
CB that's awesome i love that, i taxed in uk for 12 years, if i had that the customers would have to pay triple just to sit in it nice dude really smart.
OMG 😍 Chad! My favourite part was those tiny bright LEDs at the ceiling of the taxi placed next to each other. And so many tv screens.. imagine watching Erotica on them while car is being driven 😁✌️✌️!
Not first ! Watched the video and all the adds, didn’t skip a thing ! What was I going to say . Chad your living the dream man , keep put these real deal vids out man . So good to see how they do it in Thailand. I got to say your vids make me feel good . Cheers from SoCal
Here in Australia that would be a Toyota Camry, they used to be made here too, but alas no more. That is the best presented Camry/Atlas I have ever seen, kudos to Jack for taking pride in his car and his work. I was in Singapore late last year and I was impressed with the quality and price of the taxis there, well presented and about half what you would pay here. The Thai taxis look very similar in that respect. Compare that to a taxis I caught here in Sydney a few years back which was expensive (comparatively) and the car itself should have been retired (POS) the front passenger seat's padding had collapsed and you were basically sitting on the metal frame. Felt not unlike sitting on a toilet seat and I wondered when I was going to fall through. I'd be happy to pay Jack Sydney prices for that luxury interior.
Its called an ALTIS, same engine as a Corolla, just a branched off version cuz Toyota was feeling spicy. Thanks for the clarification on the differently coloured Taxis! Looking forward to more car videos, Thailand has a lot to offer
I've even seen a 1983 Toyota corolla KE70 as a taxi in Bangkok last time I was there so they have quite an interesting taxi fleet. Also there's many private unmarked taxis that club owners pay to pick up people and take them to their clubs which is an interesting concept, you can get a free ride from them if you want to go to their club. Taiwan also has a diverse taxi scene like LS400 on chrome wheels and a karaoke taxi with speakers on other outside.
Another amazing video, didn't know that about difference between pink and yellow/green nobody ever told me, I guess thai people take it for granted that everyone will know. Thanks for jacks line, will definately get a ride in that taxi :)
Thanks for the color-code info. I asked taxi driver about that and didn't get a clear answer. Probably a language problem. However there are more colors than those two. I've seen solid blue and solid yellow.
I was told the corolla Altis was the more luxury version of the corolla, it has leather seats rather than cloth seats. Most of our Japanese cars we get in Australia are made in Thailand including most Toyota's and Honda's. It's different to back in the 70s when we used to export Holdens and Fords to Thailand. It would be cool if you could do a video on an old Aussie car in Thailand as you see them around sometimes.
I hear some vine-noise sound (same as little supercharger sound) when install full audio-video system in car, but in stock car not happen. P.S. Waiting for 4WD Honda City (Off-road custom sedan car).
You are correct that yellow-green taxi are owned by the drivers. Any other colors (not just pink) are rented from taxi company. Each company uses different color such as orange, yellow, green, blue, pink etc.
The only thing missing was a car fridge with cold beers in it....how can you drive around in Bangkok without cold beer...? Just putting it out there....Great work mate...
bro that taxi is so f***** cool dude Toyota atlas , that is amazing . ill have to check out your photos in Instagram bro … keep working on those great videos chad . great job your doing . ill be ordering another tshirt very soon , guys go to the web sight buy some of the great tshirts advertised, there good quality . and shipped fast to your door . thanks again for the videos chad , stay safe bro , peace
A Taxi plate in Melbourne Australia used to be around $250 thousand for the Plate only ! Not sure now but l know they can’t sell them like they used to !

OMG 😍 Chad! My favourite part was those tiny bright LEDs at the ceiling of the taxi placed next to each other. And so many tv screens.. imagine watching Erotica on them while car is being driven 😁✌️✌️!
That was sweet CB, as a Toyota fanboy I'm all over a VIP Corolla taxi like a fat kid on a candy bar.

Toyota Thailand named it ‘Toyota Corolla Altis’. People says ‘Altis’ for short.
Yes sir, it's an Altis and not an "Atlas" 😃
It's also the same case here in Malaysia, as well as the rest of SEA if I'm not mistaken
VIOS in philippines
@@nahbroitsapooptato LOL, we also have the Corolla Altis here in the PH.

That taxi is gorgeous. My compliments to Jack.
Chad, epic vlog, that taxi is legit a premium flex ride...
Sweet ride Chad thanks for the ride along, its great you are going to get a little bit back to normal
Yea i once saw a taxi in a 2nd hand car dealer with full body kits like holes in the bumper lowered and stanced and huge wing and sick wheels
Love Thailand. And your videos are so awesome 👍
You should do a portion of a video on how some of the vehicles have two different fuel type I think its really cool.
I dont want to know how are the ice cream wagon too awesome video and that shirt is on fire polaroid have to give you a check ......
That taxi much more better than my Prius.
Hardest working man on TH-cam !!!
a great improvement on the stand clear plastic seat coverings - sweaty legs and smooth plastic makes a smooth ride
Bloody amazing!! where do you find these guys? 😂😂
Hahha it’s sooo sick! I met him at Bangkok Auto Salon. Which hopefully we can actually have this year, biggest show of the year. At impact arena

Thai taxis are such a cool scene here, you feel like you are ridin' in a real airrider camber car tho😀
Taxi's are actually affordable in Thailand . Good job CB.
In Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia are Corolla Altis as well
Oh man. I was waiting for you to review Bangkok taxis. They have the sickest headliners in the world. Ricers ftw.

Never knew that about the colours, I usually take the 4wd Disco taxi in Pattaya it’s pretty out there! I did a 360 video inside it.
