    Hey Drex just wanted say thank you for the video and let you know I just learned the 4x4 fountain a few months ago and I had a similar realization to what you had. After learning the move I excelled through many other transitions and finally felt a great sense of flow and felt I could really dance with the poi and not feel awkward...thanks alot for all your work and keep inspiring poi spinners!!

    Considering building a pegboard for my props this quarantine. It's nice seeing your props all organized.

    I've been so slow catching up on the lessons, but this is the ine that I finally got quickly!! After spending a full week drilling those waistwraps to get my planes cleaner without hitting myself. It's nice to get something down so much quicker, using things I already know ^^

      @@DrexFactor Well I used this example to show my son a way of editing videos, and how clap boards work. I won't point it out again...maybe;) Just thought I'd convey I am listening.

      @@OOEarth And I'm glad that was a great teachable moment for your son learning about video production! It made a huge difference for me in terms of my editing process (I can edit, render, publish, and promote a single video in an hour at this point) so the more people are hip to it the better!

    Question is there a way to do transitions for tricks without using stalls? Im really bad at stalls but I can do other things and Im still tryna practice on them but was wondering if there are combinations that you can do with just weaving?

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Short answer: learn the stalls. Pendulums are another great transition tool but there are so many things that learning all your stalls open you up to that it really truly is worth the extra work. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I swear it will be worth it in the long run!

    I learned a bunch of new tricks during the lockdown so far and I'm slowly starting to confuse and mix them up a bit... xD Am I seeing this right, that a split-time chase the sun is basically the same thing as this fountain? Oh welp :D
    Thanks a lot for your great videos, you helped learn so much all ready!!

    • @DrexFactor
      @DrexFactor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Split-time chase the sun is closer to a windmill. Doing the waistwrap on bottom takes it out of that kind of body tracing territory but you're spot on for the top of it!
