California to Ohio Time Lapse Road Trip with a Toyota Mark II

Note: The time and date stamp is not correct on the dash recording.
This is a one way time lapse of me and my sister's 2,383 mile road trip from college UC Davis to Summit, Ohio where we visit our dad.
Unfortunately more than half of the trip footage was saved on a corrupt memory card. Recordings of the Salt Flats, the sunrise, family footage, and the sunset drive from Iowa to Ohio were lost.
This video was primarily for my family but I figured I would keep it public as a testament to the car's reliability.
So how did the Mark II do?
The floorboard on the passenger side became damp during the trip. At first I was terrified that it may have been engine coolant.
I jacked the car up and found that my car was missing the AC vent tube. Without the tube the water would simply leak straight into the passenger side floor board. Thankfully that was all it was, and an easy fix.
The car averaged 23mpg on the free way on boost. Off boost we were able to manage 25-26mpg but had to maintain lower than 70mph. City the car averaged 15-18mph. I won't lie, the smooth powerband is addicting and I floor it more than I should.
Very comfortable car to do a trip in. Felt like driving a cloud.
Lots of trunk room, fully adjustable driver's seat, smooth engine, stupid cold air conditioner, passenger side food tray, minimal wind noise. Besides from the desperate need for a cruise control, the Mark II is an excellent road trip sedan.
Toll booths would have been a natural enemy had it not been for my passenger.

If you're in the the U.S. you can contact an importer like Japanese Classics or JDM expo. I bought mine from JDM Palace here in the United States.

@@JZXKenny You don't have a problem wjth registration this car, because have right hand wheel drive?

@@MrZEVSDEN for registration, you need to have all import documents (if your dealer didnt register the car already) and make sure all japanese documents are translated and notarized front and back. going through the trouble right now trying to have washington register my car. its not a difficult process, but sort of a pain if you dont have the right documents. speak to the dealer and try to have them walk you through. all in all, its pretty painless. hope this helps
