ALONE IN ALA ARCHA. Kyrgyzstan's Incredible National Park

Ala Archa, near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan is an amazing place. Utchitel Peak at almost 15,000 feet, towers above the Ratsek Hut, which is a perfect place to test your mountaineering skills right outside of Bishkek. I was surprised at the stunning beauty of Ala Archa National Park

I use maps.me and Gaia and did the Uchitel Peak trail from the Ratcek Hut on day 1 and then hiked up offtrail to the Uchitel Glacier on day 2

Hey in the ratsek but that’s at the top. How far away do you remember it being from the waterfall? And is there any arrangement of food the hut does?

I think it is a couple miles above the waterfall. I bought a dinner at the hut and enjoyed the dinner. I brought my own breakfast and snacks.

2) Were the rooms hostel style(bunkbeds etc)?
