Mount Dana is a fantastic hike. 5.5 miles and 3,000 feet of climbing gets you to the 2nd highest mountain in Yosemite. There are great views above Tioga Pass and the Yosemite high country and Mono Lake. This is one of my favorite hikes to do in Yosemite National Park and is highly recommended! Date hiked: End of May Scenery: Stunning lakes and view from pass Kearsarge Pass from Onion Valley is a perfect day hike. Date hiked: May 15th Scenery: Incredible Distance: 30 miles. Clouds Rest from Yosemite Valley is one of the best hikes in Yosemite. Backcountry is amazing. Getting away from the crowds at the resorts is freeing and allows you to be in nature without the people.
