As a person coming to visit, I found some good information from this between the 2 cities that I have heard. I'd love to hear more about transportation to and from airport, universal studios and other tourist venues, to downtown LA and other nice areas to visit without a car.

What’s your thoughts on the neighborhoods that surround the Sycamore District or by Poinsettia Park or by the Formosa Cafe, opposed to the Whitley District & the area along Franklin. I think I came across a Bike only lane there which was nice, but it’s definitely seems maybe a little more congested
I lived over 10 years on Kings Rd., on border of West Hollywood. Loved it, was central to most of LA. Of course, you overlooked that WeHo has a large gay population versus Hollywood!

I feel like West Hollywood has the flair of a casual residential area, that could be in any town or city, but in the heart of LA. The neighbourhoods and houses seem very casual, despite paying 3-5 million dollars for a relative simple family home that would cost you 100.000 somewhere else. 😅 But hey, you're surrounded by LA. Maybe that's just what you want and what is hard to find in that area, casuality. Feels safe, walkable and liveable.
yes that's the great part about living in WeHo. There are several pockets that feel like casual residential neighborhoods but you'll also be walking distance to main streets with tons of restaurants. Best of both worlds!

You must not live nearby. I just moved from one of the least ghetto cities in the world, Scottsdale, Arizona and with my super sheltered lens I can tell you there is nothing ghetto about West Hollywood Sunset, Doheny, Santa Monica to La Cienega, peaceful large homes, safe walkable restaurants
Insanely cheap in both. Try a one bedroom in Rose Bay, Sydney....you'll be looking at 3-4 million for a one bedroom apartment. California is just so cheap it's crazy.
