That was very infectious 😂😂😂 I got 3lt PKP last Sun & was worried too about ending up in the car park outside (I'm 46) - due to childhood flashbacks about the big pan on the stove 💥
I was brought up in the seventies when the pressure cooker took off… in our case literally.. my gran decided to try my parents one and it went very wrong The pressure thingy shot out breaking the kitchen light and embedding in the seventies polystyrene ceiling tiles like a scud missile The cat went one way my gran another way and my Grandad grabbed the contraption and threw it behind the shed dinner and all We had ham sandwiches and my gran had to have a brandy to calm her down Im sure things have moved on since then but its a childhood memory that we still hoot about 😂
My Mum fed us from her pressure cooker when I was small.Lovely creamy rice pudding.Stew n dumplings.Scrummy stuff!..very handy things for working Mums x
Sous vide is pronounced sue veed. I’d love to try one of these modern pressure cookers. I’ve got mum’s old one ( probably now over sixty like me) and use it mainly for gammon joints and Christmas puddings.
Can anyone explain to me how to, for example, cook carrots for around five minutes and then add, say, cabbage and broccoli for a minute or two only without having to go through the preheating again on this Cosori pressure cooker unit? Also, once I’ve added in the cabbage/broccoli I really struggle to get the lid back on!! Any advice would be gratefully received. I was hoping to pretty much do all my veg in the one pot … not having much success so far … mainly because the lid doesn’t want to go back on. I bought a 3 compartment steamer basket for it but not much use if some veg take 5-7 minutes and others take only 1-2. Help please 🤞
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Carla, u finally made rice, right lol lol Tell Nat that the tee she is wearing, is my favorite rock band of all time and who I've seen many many times! In the 70's, at one such concert to see them play, and as usual, my friend and I were hours early and were sitting at the front doors which had yet to open, when, who but the group KISS walked right by us at the front door, with no make up on, not a stitch and back then it was unheard of for them to let themselves be seen out of make up. Needless to say, my friend and I freaked out and unfortunately back then, there were no cell phones and we didn't have a camera but nonetheless, it was awesome to see them without make up!!!!!! Thanks for a fun vlog Carla!!!

My parents always called the instructions the 'destructions' too, made me laugh hearing you say that 🤣
I think I have a venting button myself

Crumble a ham stock cube into the rice before adding water it will add lots of flavor.
Thank you Carla. 70’s pressure cookers were blooming dangerous! The Castori one looks really good!

The meat loaf looked delicious. Thanks for adding the Americanese definition of 'grill'. I was confused until you mentioned 'broil'.
You should be on a shopping channel , actually no you are better . Thanks for this great start to my day x
Great demo Carla - I don’t think meatloaf and rice is a weird combo at all!

Broiler
The English and their boiled meat.... UGH No one makes meatloaf outside of an oven or Air Fryer
Boiled? It was pressure cooked - not immersed in water.
