Kevin killing Weissman is one of my favorite scenes in the series. I remember when I was first playing it, I was like, seriously? They're really going to let this absolute bastard get away? After literally every Enforcer on the way up the tower escaped, I was kind of annoyed that we were letting all these really troublesome villains live. But then Kevin shows up like the absolute chad he is and takes Weissman out without messing around. Now that's what I'd like to see more of, because let's face it, that guy was never going to be "redeemed" or anything. *AZURE SPOILERS BELOW* Now if only the SSS had nutted up and done the same to Mariabell, it really would've saved everyone a lot of trouble....
Yeah, with the Enforcers, even the right bastards have a backstory and aren't completely evil, Oroborous is an organisation that kinda gives it's agents a freedom you wouldn't expect, they act with their own interests in mind and can and will even fight against Oroborous itself, without any risk of being punished. Weissman on the other hand was kinda hated by everyone, the dude's main point is how incredibly irredeemable he is, it's like as if he became all what was fucked up about the North Ambrian disaster and moulded it into a person. The only person who even feels sad about his passing is the grandmaster themselves, everyone else hates him. When it comes to the bracers, they're simply good people and I don't think they could willingly kill even if they wanted to, hell even Joshua isn't that kinda guy anymore, Kevin though, until he gets over his shit in the Third he would've killed anyone he deemed heretical, he was heartless in a way too, but whereas Weissman took steps over that line of morality, Kevin just barely toed it. That being said, him killing Weissman with the salt pale is kinda fucked up, even when we consider who Weissman is. As for the SSS, I feel it's the same way, they're not so callous as to just kill someone, their sense of justice would naturally want them to have Mariabelle pay for her crimes in a cell rather than through death, not to mention the whole deal with Ellie and her, even if you're more than likely right and it would've been the better option just to off her.
@@shirosaki97 I get why the SSS did what they did from both an in-universe and out-of-universe position, but they will still never be as cool as Kevin. Lloyd agonizes over not being able to save the main antagonist of Zero, but Kevin felt exactly zero guilt for putting Weissman down.
That music when Weissman died was impeccably timed. He almost didn't deserve that music but...seeing how he was killed, not only because it seems cruel but also because of the circumstances of his youth, makes this death a sad one.
I think the entire trails series is underrated. I haven't seen a series do as good a job storytelling and world building across multiple games as Trails has. Its quickly become my favorite JRPG series of all time.
There are so many “men behind the men” in this series that it’s difficult to know who the true villain is. Hell, it's even hard to tell who's behind who.

The truth is that she isn't a little girl at all....SHE IS ADIOS HERSELF IN CHILD FORM! That's how she manages to "uncover" everything that's happening with Estelle and her group seemingly through intuition alone. Of course she'd know everything. She's Adios herself and therefore knows all that will happen before it even begins. Truly she is a cunning and devious mastermind.
I remember seeing this video's title before finishing SC and all I could think was "Did I just get spoiled that Kevin's going to kill Loewe?" and being extremely wary of Kevin the entire game.

Once by Cassius and once by Estelle, Loewe also scolded him back on the Glorious but not for making the wrong choice rather for being indecisive. When you think about it Joshua was scolded by his dad, his bro and his gf so it's literary a family trying to deal with a runaway teen. lol
So a bunch of friends and I are playing through the Trails series, two of my friends are up and coming VAs. For the fun of it, we decided to dub over these scenes (since we played the non-voiced PC version without EVO voice pack mod). Whilst we kinda abridged it, this scene I played Loewe and played it straight... All until 1:00... How do you get a whole group of friends to laugh for ten minutes straight? "I dunno... Blood's supposed to be on... The inside."
Salt pale was hella terrifying.... I really believe that Aidios herself was more on the bad side. Like, she's not really goddess-y. Because her blessings were all bizarre and dangerous.
@@salviraa7382 Except it's well implied the Salt Pale has nothing to do with Aidios, but rather Divergent Beings with another reality/plane, and the Church Claims it's from Aidios to avoid causing panic about such things.

I’m playing through cold steel 3 right now and I have no idea how some people would be able to play it without playing the previous games. There are so many references and things brought up from previous games that I’d definitely be lost if I hadn’t played them beforehand.

I think the entire trails series is underrated. I haven't seen a series do as good a job storytelling and world building across multiple games as Trails has. Its quickly become my favorite JRPG series of all time.
