I keep saying, "I have enough Barrinas." Then I go and get more!☺ My orchids are very happy under them. My collection is outgrowing its space, though. But with these lights, almost any space can become grow space!

I appreciate your eye for the color space and lighting. You mention certain lights washing out colors and it's so true. The industry term for that (in English) is CRI (Color Rendering Index). Sunlight has a CRI of 100. Any bulb below 98 CRI gives me eyestrain after an hour.
It's not just about beauty, but also function. For example, medical professionals need high CRI lighting when they're doing surgery or taking care of infants.

Barrinas are by far my favorite grow lights! My orchids and other plants are thriving since I switched to Barrinas. The color is bright but not harsh.

Thanks! Your videos have been amazingly helpful. I never was interested in gardening and plants before I was given an orchid, now I am apparently obsessed with them, and your videos have answered every question I’ve had as well as others!

Thanks for the inside scoop on your grow lights. It's hard to find an aesthetic fixture, and these are very good-looking, and not obtrusive. And they are affordable.

I believe that the little shelf unit is a spice shelf to raise them up for visibility. It's definitely perfect for mini's. 😁 And, I too, love my Barina's. 🌺

The display is beautiful. Instead of having the shelves jammed with plants. I do have quite a few of the barrina lights but I would love to get a beautiful display case.

Those podiums are also called spice racks. They are easily found online.

How much space should be between the light and the orchid?

I used this same tape to mount lights in a Milsbo. Didn't work. The heat and humidity caused it to release.

Hi ,I have a question, at 11 minutes 40 seconds of video, the way the color and temperature of the lighting is changed, these lights have a remote control? or I missed something? how do you change the temperature/color of the light?
I would like to purchase these lights. Thank you in advance for your answer

Is there a certain amount of kelvins and lumens needed for orchids and African Violets to grow and bloom? Do they need more red light or should they have full spectrum at a particular level? Is it the T5 that you use?

William Cullina's book, Understanding Orchids, includes footcandle requirements for many orchid genera, in the A to Z chapter of his book. I have a light meter from Hydrofarm (Petaluma, California, USA) that takes the guesswork out of my light assessments. (The real player, however, in plant light is NOT footcandles or lumens or lux; it is really PAR, Photosynthetically Active Radiation, which is the range of light colors that plants need. Two areas I have yet to research are, I assume a PAR meter is much more expensive than a footcandle meter, plus I've not yet seen a table of PAR requirements for orchids.) You ask about full spectrum; it seems many grow light manufacturers recommend full spectrum; the ghastly magenta lights are falling out of favor.

I think that you are wise to have restraint in how many orchids you purchase and display. I try to appreciate each plant I acquire and don’t want to get to a situation where I have too many plants that I *forget* that I have a plant.
