    This is helpful, thanks for doing it.

    Trying to decide between the NS Funslinger and Rome Gangplank. Main focus is to learn how to butter and flat ground tricks. Don't really do much rails/boxes, but I would like to still be able to hit small and eventually medium jumps.

      Those 2 boards are quite different. The Gangplank is more all mountain oriented while the Funslinger is geared for park. I'd say depends what you spend most time doing. Both will hit jumps and mellow rail stuff so I would make decisions based on what you have in your quiver and what you'll get most use out of.

      @@sidewaysgearguys882 Thanks, appreciate the quick response. Gangplank sounds like the way to go since I'm wanting to do butter + press tricks all mountain, not just the park! I'm pretty much only in the park to hit jumps.

    Thanks guys. Seems like an awesome board. Is it allright for an intermediate+ rider?

      @sidewaysgearguys882  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, definitely fine for an intermediate rider. It's a pretty versatile board, it was easy to ride and handled everything we threw at it. For sure a good resort board.

      Nice I’m pumped to ride it. Y’all have any size recommendations. Currently on a 158

      @@massconvert8097 depends on height, weight, foot size etc. Unless you're looking for it to ride a lot different than your current board, or if you were looking at a board that was volume shifted (short and fat) you probably want to stick close-ish to what you know and are comfortable with for size

      Nice! It's a cool board, loved the shape and graphics too. Can't wait to shred, starting to feel cold here.

    Remember the Rome garage rocker?
    Is this basically that board?
    Even though it’s called garage ‘rocker’, I believe it had flat camber

      pretty much, just updated to the blunted shape which adds a little bit of effective edge.

    Im curious how the sizing was for you. I have size 10.5 books and was leaning more toward the 158 as opposed to the 155.

      sorry, didn't see your comment. also depends on weight and height too, as well as what you want the board for as far as intended riding conditions and style.

      @snowboarddan5899 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree. I ride shorter board since I can handle it better.

      @@snowboarddan5899 that tells me that speed isn't you focus long = faster and better handling at speed. Your weights is also a big factor and the conditions of your primary riding location.

    hello guys, I'm an Italian guy and I just joined your channel ...... what table would you recommend among them to start making park: Rome artifact rocker 2017, salomon salomonder 2018, capita horrorscope 2018 or lobster heiki pro model 2018? I tell you that Rome would pay half of the others

    • @sidewaysgearguys882
      @sidewaysgearguys882  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sorry for the slow reply, life... Hmm, that's kind of a hard one, those are all going be quite different feeling boards. The Salomon and the Capita will be the most similar to each other because of the camber profiles. Are you wanting to do jumps or rails more? If more into jumping, I would say something slightly stiffer - of the 4 probably the Lobster or the Rome in my opinion. The Lobster will have more power because of the camber, while the Rome would be a bit more forgiving because of the rocker. Ultimately, if you are just starting to ride park chances are you're not going to 'feel' a huge difference until you've gained more experience. Go with something you're stoked on, the Lobster seems like a cool choice with a nice mix of features, but we haven't ridden these boards this year so...

    How are the Katanas?

    • @sidewaysgearguys882

      Actually really solid. Neither of us were expecting much, but they were comfortable and responsive without being too stiff. I really like all the options for customising footbed canting etc. Rome has always had good straps too. Didn't blow our minds, but definitely a good all around aggressive binding.
