This is great news. One regret I have is selling my Deus 1 with 3.2 software. In 51 years of detecting, other than salt beach, best detector I have ever owned, and yes, that includes the Deus 2, for a few reasons. 1) worked light years better in EMI. I;m sure there’s some magic sweet spot on the Deus 2 mono, but I never had a chance to find that soot, lol. 2) Depth. I’ve used almost every detector at one time, and that particular detector tge way Andy set it up, hit some individual 58 mini balls around 17” in a trench. They were so deep, checked the bottom of the hole with pinpointer since we dug 12 plates and buckles in this area. So far, I can’t get within 3-4 inches of the Deus 1 with the Deus 2. I’d be interested to see what others have done. I do need to try frequency offsets in EMI to see how it goes. Thanks
@@jerrytalley802 it is an amazing machine and I love taking it out from time to time ! Not many 14 year old machines can do what this machine does for sure !
I have 2 D1’s, one brand new in a hard case with all the coils. I won’t get rid of them until I can no longer walk. Love going back and forth with the D1 and D2. Customer for life
I did a similar test with the xp2 and a nine inch coil with multi freq to 14 khz. Had a dime surrounded by four nails and I picked it up from every angle. Looking forward to a elliptical coil for the xp2 it will be a Killer :)Yeah
Great to hear Charlie ! Caught you guys last Sunday and was glad to see ya back on the show ! Keep me posted on your beach adventures with the XP Deus II 👍
Hey Brian, long time d2 user, just curious in general, how does the d2 currently do on this test, with either the 9 or 11"? (As compared to this d1 HF coil test) Thanks for the content!
I started hurting nuggets 26 years ago with a Whites GM3. Absolutely love the elliptical coils! So many time i poped a small nugget just by being able to get the tip of the coil closer in & around rocks & bushes. Cant wait! Do you have a ballpark timeframe??
seen that video where you introduce Xp Eng'r where he talks about the upcoming new coil for the Deus2. do you get the chance to test that new coil Southern Relic before release? this is interesting as the Vortex will be out next season too pretty sure price of that new D2 coil will be close to that Vortex machine, we already know what D2 can do as to the new Garrett still all speculations in performance....
why would you need a high frequency?? 40 khz is high. I see them offering it for use in getting at tight spaces. Higher than 40 could be specific for gold hunters.
It also has some benefits in unmasking. And yes above 40 kHz works well with gold and it helps eliminate emi. That elliptical coil I have run directly beneath power lines. XP has told me that 40 kHz helps with unmasking so if 40 works and you add some higher frequencies with a multi we will see some benefits in unmasking in iron. At least that’s my thoughts on it. Still a lot of speculation tho. I think it will do well and I hope to have it soon. Thanks for the comment ! 👍😊
Hi, i can see the usuefull side of +/- 80 kHz everyday in my work.I'm professional archaeologist in France and after years of tests in historical (since bronze age) site. This coil and the 22 cm white in historical loaded irons site are the more often time more effective than the D2. The way they found for example thin hammered medieval coins as for me no comparison until. ;-)

Can’t wait to see the new HFcoil
I know we all are ! But hopefully sometime soon ! Thanks for watching !
I'd say for 14 year old technology it performs pretty darn good. Still an amazing detector.
I would agree. Still has a lot offer !

I sure am excited to see that new coil. I definitely have some spots to try it out on. Hopefully we can get them before winter!
@@MD-NWWI thanks buddy ! The new blocks looked awesome in the video !!! I hope we will see the new coil soon 👍😊

I think it will be a good one ! Based on history I think this coil will be right in line with other great releases !
Awesome
Thanks so much !
Hey Brian, I finally took the deus2 to the beach and hit the water. What an Awesome Machine! Can't wait to see the new coil...
Great to hear Charlie ! Caught you guys last Sunday and was glad to see ya back on the show ! Keep me posted on your beach adventures with the XP Deus II 👍
Very interesting Brian thank you for the information. Al, NJ
Thank you ! Appreciate your support !
The 9”
Coil is one of the best now minelab has one and it’s great also
Both great coils ! Best of both worlds good coverage and great unmasking !
Let’s hope it can run the normal D2 frequency and programs as well as the higher frequencies
I wait for,4 and 80khz,for new coil ,maybe!😂
I think so ! Should be great at unmasking in heavy iron !
@@southernrelicadventures yes!i so need this coil, for heavy iron soil.
Great video Brian! I will be very interested on what the new coil will do on the D2.
Thanks Chris !!!

General just doesn’t unmask as well the best unmasking programs are Sensitive FT and Fast 👍 Thanks for the great question !
Thanks, Brian, for the test. I can't for the new HX coil for the D2.
Me too ! Being able to run the higher frequencies should help with unmasking
Great video.
Thank you !
Hi thanks for this test ! cheers from France ;-)
Thank you for watching !
Great video Brian
Thanks so much ! Enjoyed using the D1 again !
I'd like to see a gold ring.Put down there with the last test being with a three inch colonial nail
We can do that ! 👍😊 That 3 inch is a monster of a test
Great test! The nee coil should be a great unmasker.
I think so too buddy !

DEUS 1, still one of the best machine for hard trashy fields and parks, specifically with the elliptical coil. (Unique coil going up to 80kHhz!)
I think so to! Was a lot of fun going back and using it again. Makes you really appreciate what XP did 14 years ago !
@@southernrelicadventures too
Some say that new coil maybe will be up to 80kzh and maybe elliptical or sniper round one.
It definitely could be as original one went that high as well 👍
Hello, where you get that infomation D2 gets new hf coil?
