Good vid B. Silencer @ 0 is off. @7 it is at 100%. Everytime you increase your Silencer, each beep adds 14% of filter. So a silencer of 3 is 42% higher than 0. Big increase. Use it carefully. I always start at 0 or 1 then increase, even if I am using a factory program. I will adjust it.
So this would be a similar adjustment on the Manticore to the "stabilizer" settings. Try not to overdo this setting. But a little can go a long way in certain conditions for sure.
Nice video bud. I’ve found in most cases for my sandy soil type, I do best on 0. If it’s a REALLY iron infested site, I’ll push it up to 1. Never above 1 though.
Not sure I understand. It seems the more filter you add you lose the target and only hear the iron. Why would you want to do this. Thanks for explaining things Brian.
@@johnbrantley2186 yes that’s correct you only want to add the filter if your soil or hunting conditions require it. Usually the targets are hidden in mineralized soil or soil that may have flecks of iron or small pieces of iron. Adding the filter will help in that situation to calm the machine down. I run it more wide open or lower to allow more in to hear a masked target. Applying too much filter will not allow me to do this but there are situations where you do need to run the filter higher than 2 or 3 . my conditions and soil does not require that I do so. That is why I said test it out on your sites and what you want to look for.
Very nice video, Your camera work got a lot better. Sparky is the word for it. Thanks for sharing.

I use 1 mainly and 0 occasionally. Never have used it above it 2 for most of my situations
On the beach which is better Nokta legend or triple score ? Many thanks
Triple score is the legends little brother. That should answer your question
It looks like the silencer at a elevated setting masked the nickel, not the nails, not too useful?
The more filter you apply the more you take away unmasking capabilities

No. At 0 you hear cracking on iron- its must have. At 1 cracking stops and you dig all and lose time. So 0 is 100% needed all the time.
