I hadn't heard pumpkin worked as a dewormer. I just googled it, works on hogs too. Thanks.

Beautiful fall for us also. Looks like winter is coming in about a week. Must be fun to smash pumpkins.

Did not know that! Not a farmer or cattleman myself. Pretty cool

Had not heard that before, thanks. I haven’t used dewormer in years after doing fecal testing found most time it was unnecessary

I have been feeding pumpkins for several years. The following year I usually have a good crop from where I fed them. I put them back on that pasture in mid August and let them smash and eat them their selves. Wish I had the picture some one sent me they drove buy and one heifer had a pumpkin stuck on their head because it was not broken down into pieces. Like you I still poor on though. Keep up the videos and good luck this season rifle here in the NE is 20 November had not had the time to bow hunt at all this year.

Even if it doesn't work as a dewormer, its a nice treat for the critters!

Funny how they notice subtle things like that. I'd bring grain to the young dairy stock we kept on the pasture attached to the house we lived in on the weekends, as my brother lived on the "home farm" with the dairy herd. Without fail, on SAT and SUN, they would come running about 11am when they saw the pickup in the driveway, as the morning chores were complete. Not sure how they knew, but they did.

Our pumpkins went to the same place. Didn't know that they are a natural dewormer. Take care!

Did you trade cornstalks with Mike for pumpkins? In the Anchorage Alaska area, you have to get Halloween pumpkins away from the house quickly to avoid a moose poking his nose in a window or door eating pumpkins.

We give some pumpkins to our pigs. Have never tried them with my cows. When we had sheep we would give them some cedar brush in the winter. The tannins in the brush would act as a dewormer. I also grow some birds foot trefoil in my hay mix, its supposed to act as a dewormer as well.
