VB is the working mans bee, think rural Australia.
Carlton Draught is in most bars/lower end clubs.
James Boags is close to Carlton Draught, probably seen more in restaurants.
4X is basically water, but you need to stay hydrated when you live up north.
Tooheys New isn't seen often, Tooheys extra dry however is quite prevalent.
Coopers is probably the best of all of them, you would see that more in resturants and fancy bars.

As an Australian, my favourite beers are XXXX Bitter and Tooheys Extra Dry (Teds). So glad they actually used beers that Australians would buy!

theyre good, leffe is my fave of that list, stella tastes good but its very(ideal) on the pallet not exactly what i seek in a beer(i have a poor pallet as it is heinekin or rolling rock appease my pale lager tastes) Though the fact that in belgium or germany you can get those beers for fractions of what they cost in the states is the true tragedy...esp to people that just want a taste of home, hoegaarden is good too belgian white ale is my fave beer lately sooooo easy to drink and sooo refreshing and crisp. I especially like white ipas which were developed the same way white ales are.
Stells is very light too, hoegaarden and leffe thooo they are goooooood!

Excellent pick on the "classiness'' of Coopers! When I lived in South Australia this was the go-to beer for weddings,parties,anything...And yet when I moved to Tasmania (yes Boags does taste sort of nothing) all the locals here said that it was considered a "posh" beer. V.B. is my choice of weapon...but it HAS TO BE REALLY COLD >>>>

I was in Australia for two weeks.. Great beer! I spent a week in Geelong and visited Little Creatures Brewery twice! They have great PA's.. Coopers is also a pretty good ale! My only complaint is they needed more stouts, wheats, and didn't see any IPA's (indian)

Foster's is sold all over Victoria at almost all bottle shops. Yes most Australians don't drink it but some do occasionally and did a have a bit of popularity when it first came out.
I’d rather drink fosters “premium ale” (the green can) than a tall can of Budweiser any day.

In Australia, we don't have college, we have university, if that counts.

That's not true. While "college" and "university" are similar, they're not tally the same. A main difference is thy universities are typically larger, and offer more degrees and courses, etc.

I live just around the corner from the brewery where they make VB and all the Carlton beers. And the Mountain Goat brewery is a few streets away.
Why do they keep on mentioning 'Fosters'. I've never even seen anybody in Australia drink that.
Throughout most of the 90's and 2000's in America Foster's had been marketed as the quintessential Australian import ("Australian for Beer"), when in fact it was originally brewed by Americans FOR Australians (Melbourne area?) using Aussie ingredients. Now in the states it's brewed in Texas, and I think there's also a different brewery in the UK, where it has been popular for a long time. If I'm wrong someone let me know b/c that's the story as I understand it.

All the videos have a bit of stereotyping, and make it seem like we are all like the stereotype... Like, big, crazy, surfers/stocksmen.
And I know this sounds stupid, but I think there are too many videos about us. All the 'blah blah trying Australian blah blah and making fun of it'...

Lol here in America, Foster's is a beer that used to be advertised constantly on TV. Haven't seen those commercials in a while. But the narrator always had an Australian accent, and the slogan was 'Foster's: Australian for beer".

The only beer I drink anymore is Cascade - kinda wish they did that one. I grew up in the western suburbs of Melbourne, and the only people who drank VB were dole-bludging bogans who looked and smelled like they washed in the stuff

Most mass produced beer in Australia is not designed for taste but to get shitfaced,Coopers green is my fav mass produced beer but we have alot of medium sized brewerys producing great product like Mountain Goat.

It's unheard of in Australia to drink fosters in case you didn't know. The first time I heard of it was a few years ago in Vietnam. LITERALLY no one in Australia drinks fosters.
Coopers - Not incredibly popular, Just a standard beer.
James Boags - Terrible cheap beer only consumed to get drunk
Carlton Drapht - Another beer that is usually cheap on tap
XXXX - Bogan Queenslander drink
Tooheys - All rounder average beer
Victoria Bitter - for when you have a hard earned thirst that needs a big cold beer, the best cold beer is vic, Victoria bitter.
