Just a little hint when using Fabri-tac, to avoid the glue lines showing through your fabric all you have to do is smooth it out. Either use your finger if it’s small or when I do spines I use gift cards. I have a whole pile of gift cards and fake credit cards and just smooth it out and don’t press it down really hard. I learned that from the Beacon website.
Gayle, you are such a hoot! I enjoy your mishaps as much as when things go smoothly. It reminds us that we all have our moments - like when you realized maybe using Fabric-tac was the way to go after losing patience with the Art Glitter glue fabric glue. When you play with your materials it really is about trial and error. Truly, we learn as much or more from the errors. So no apologies needed for a play day because we’ll all learn something in the end. Thanks for your unique sense of humor and kind heart. Hope you get to see that bunny again soon! 🐇 🐰 🐇

Good morning, Gayle! I loved the papers you used for the cover of this journal. So much fun!
We watched the Pale Blue Eye last week. An interesting twist for an ending. Also, the outside scenes in the movie were filmed here in Pennsylvania. My husband and I have actually visited one of the places they used, called McConnell's Mill, located on the Western side of the State. It not only has the mill, but a red covered bridge right next to it. It was funny because in the first shot of the movie, it shows a river with snow covered trees. My husband said, "Isn't that beautiful, I sure would like to go there." So, I looked up where they filmed the movie and started giggling. "Honey, we've already been there." It took him a few minutes to remember and it gave him a chuckle, too. That beginning river shot was just up the river from the covered bridge. I think I actually photographed the same scene, but in the Fall. Funny, but they made those locations look so large, but actually it's not too big an area at all. Just the mill, covered bridge right next to it and a hiking path that follows the river. It gets crowded there, too, from the tourists. But the old Mill is grand, as is the Covered Bridge. It was fun photographing when we went there. Pennsylvania has a lot of old areas & buildings like that. It is a place full of very early American history, so a good place for filming this kind of movie. Christian Bale was the star of that movie and ironically, too, was the young boy in All the Animals (as others also mentioned). I guess I never realized he started out so young in his career.

I love the Art Glitter fabric glue, no chemical odor like fabri tac and it doesn't ruin nails.
Those are the pluses for sure….the sticky fingers not so much! 😂❤
I love Alex - I have been following him for years - he has taught me a few things about antiques hunting - and also made me feel like my house isn’t ‘hoarder’ worry yet 😂😂

These beautiful gel prints are perfect as covers for this journal. Using the cloth binding makes it even more "artsy"! You may even have a cozy feeling remembering where the cardboard came from...lol!😴🧥👖😴Good job!
This is fabulous!! Love the colors and the use of fabric hinges. Would "gloves in a bottle" help the glue to be less sticky on your hands? I'm always amazed when you use your fabric tac because it looks so easy the way it sqeezes out. I think, "Gayle must have the strongest hands". You are such a blessing to me💕🐬Rainy day hugs

Good morning Gail. I know you did not request a suggestion.... I use Vaseline around the edge of the glue bottle. Barely any Vaseline works great. Also Christian Bale. Him and Matt Damion in the movie Ford versus Ferrari is an excellent movie as well.
I absolutely love the paper you used on your cover! Sewing in signatures is my least favourite job when making a journal. I will try this tab binding! I watching and listening to your videos. Thank you for sharing!

This is a great journal, Gayle. I love the gelli print pages; the colors are absolutely beautiful. The signature pages are unique as well. I’ve never seen anyone who can mod podge as fast as you can. Great job!! ❤

Thx for sharing this. I often wondered how the tab hinges work. When I was cleaning out my Moms things, I ran across an old recipe book she or someone had hinged together. I didn’t realize what I had and sadly tossed it. Interesting old techniques still being used.

I've found the best way to make mod podge or other glue not curl the paper is to apply it to both surfaces. Seems to work! I really like the piece you put on the front cover too.

Great book! Isn't it funny how we all feel about different glues 😂 I think the uhu sticks to my fingers but you make it look so fabulous. I use it anyway but I wonder if our different personal chemistry affects glues differently... 🤔🤔

Gorgeous! There aren't many people doing gelli printing, making the prints into something else... So I hope you decide to🙏 I'd like to make a small journal with the prints that I can then decorate each page. My attempts at gelli printing are underwhelming... I love the signatures in this too. Mx

Christian Bale. A Pale Blue Eye. It was a great watch! I did a lot of work for West Point and they did a great job of recreating 19th century West Point.
