Gayle! I went to a 80 year old's estate sale Friday. Almost to the ceiling with every craft under the sun. The estate "seller" asked me to work for her. For the last three days, I have been organizing all the crafts! What a job, somebody has to do it!!! Craft heaven is a thing! 🥰
That’s so funny, Sue. A few years ago, a friend was conducting an estate sale and offered that I come the day before it opened. She said, everything is ready except the craft room, we just can’t handle it. So…I spent the afternoon organizing it, so that they could price everything. Of course, I had quite a little pile of stuff to come home with me! 😂. That where I got my “leaning tower of Pisa” scrapbook paper shelf. 😂. Thanks for bringing up a fun memory! ❤

Ooh! I love it when you do these! I finally bought a tracing paper pad, but have yet to collect enough scraps of printed papers. Maybe I'll have to buy a pad of thin scrapbook paper and start tearing with my ruler! First, clear a surface for stamping! 😆 LOL! The journal cards and tags came out beautifully! Good morning! I always get early so I can catch you before work. You tried to trick me - in the intro you called it scrappy Saturday and had me checking my watch for the day! later on you did say Media Media Monday! Don’t know how you keep it all straight. I would be a hot mess. Love the stamping on tracing paper. It’s great to be reminded of forgotten ideas. Thanks for sharing.
😂. I obviously don’t keep it straight! Lol! 😂. I keep a running list of the day and dates and cross through once I’ve filmed that day. But it’s over by my computer, so not right at hand. I wish I had a nickel for every time I’ve had to look and re-look at the list! 😂❤
Oh my Gayle, they are fabulous. I have seen you do these many times and I have yet to try them. Reminds me of clusters in that you can just plop them on and your item is all done. Love these so much.

I still haven't tried these strips. My first experience stamping on tracing paper (with the Ranger Archival ink) it just would not dry. Weeks later it still smeared when touched. I should try again, though, because it does look such fun and the results, in usual Gayle-style, are wonderful. Thank you, sweet one. Belinda xxx

Hi Gayle! Love the crinkley paper strips. So sad they lose that sound once we put paper on top of them. I'm going to try to glue 2 strips together to see if that will help with the crinkley sound.

So fun seeing how it all comes together, from when you made collages, then to making the tracing paper strips, combining the strips and collage tags and journaling cards and finally putting the tags and cards into the journals. 😊

Good morning Gayle. I need to try this again. I did it once but I used parchment paper. I bought tons of the brown colored parchment paper but then I realized it's made so that stuff doesn't stick to it so it didn't work well. Some things stuck but some didn't so I didn't trust it anymore. I haven't tried it since, but it looks fun. As usual another inspiring video. Someone else asked about deli paper, whats the difference between that and the tracing paper? Why don't you stamp on the tracing paper? Thanks. Hugs❤❤❤
Tracing paper is thicker and more see through. Deli paper is the paper they wrap sandwiches in and has a matte surface, so good for stamping. The white deli paper makes the stamped images stand out from the background stamping on the tracing paper. Tracing paper is definitely best for the strips. Hope that helps! Ps. Is deli paper interchangeable with tracing paper?
No, not interchangeable. Tracing paper (which I use for the strip) is see through and kind of plastic-y and deli paper is thin white (or you can get brown) paper that I used to stamp the images on. Very different. 👍❤️

These are vert cute, Gayle. Need to write down all of the steps. What do the quilters say when you sew around paper tags, etc? 😅
Their looks at me go from perplexed to disgusted! Lol!! 😂. They definitely don’t get what I do, but I’m working on educating them! 😂❤
I now include these in every journal I make. I mostly put them on a empty coffee dyed page to give it a little character.

I would stick with the sweatshirts with the sayings on them then. I pretty sure there is something that gives the art wear sweatshirts kind of a smooth feel on the outside and it may be poly. ❤

I have a bunch of these that I made and I can’t quite let go of, they’re kind of a hoardy thing for me. However, I made the tall skinny envelopes for Rachel‘s roxys weekly challenge week three but I haven’t decorated them yet. Maybe I should just use some of these strips and I will kill two birds with one stone, I’ll do Rachels week three and I’ll stop hoarding some of my strips.

I’m surprised the quilters of bothered by you ripping fabric. My mother was a seamstress and she always ripped the fabric. She said it insured that it was straight by doing it that way.
