The first video I watched of yours, you said someone had counted the number of times you had said the word "fun." So some things never change. I think you need to be yourself and say "okay" (or anything else) as many times as you want. Those who matter won't mind, and those who mind don't matter.... per Dr. Suess 😊
When I hear of the video bullies trying to dictate what you say, I’m reminded of when the kids say “You’re not the boss of me!” What you’re doing and so generously sharing with us is mostly a right brain activity and when they try to nit pick your words and tell you what to say and not say, they give you another thing to focus on and take the fun out of it! Don’t let them interfere! You have such a gift and I love and appreciate it! Craft on, my sweet sister! You’re a gem!
Don't worry about how many times you say a word, there are always going to be people who find fault with something! I love how your pages turned out! A tip about removing tape, especially difficult ones is to heat it up with your heat tool. It will reactivate the glue and make it easier to pull!
As a newbie I have not tried mixed media yet. So it was good to see that things don't always go the way you/we might want - so you showed us how we can just do it again! Great job Gayle 👍 As for the negative comments, there is a garden channel that I watch and she experiences the same thing. People don't like her hello or she used certain words too much. She put her foot down on the intro and didn't change it!! Then in one episode, her and her mom tried to change up the adjectives they used to describe plants and finally laughed it off and moved on. Several people commented ( including me) that if you don't like it - Don't watch!! The same goes for here!! People, life is too short to be critical of others. Remember what goes around comes around. Lighten up please...
I am not much into the mixed media art, but this is just beautiful and doesn't use too many things that I don't have. I might give this a try. Thank you so much for sharing and for not quitting until you got the second one done so we could see it. Sorry people are upset by the simplest things. I just say you be you and the heck with what other people think
Love this! It is so fun and will add great interest to the journals you put them in! Gayle you just say whatever you want to say. No matter if it’s repeated several times. You have the best calming voice so phooey on those who complain. I’m so sorry it did not work out for you to have Christmas with your family. I know that was sad for you. Love and hugs❤️🥰
My Christmas sounds like yours! I was sick, my grandchildren came to my home I was in the garage with the door open and they opened their presents outside on a card table! Good grief! I agree with below - you know you are wonderful to those of us that watch daily and you can say whatever you want, as many times as you want. We will still love you and continue to watch! I do hope all your family will see each other for gift exchange or hugs after the new year.
The advice I heard for painting walls is to remove the tape before the paint dries, for a cleaner line, because dry paint can crack. But it's mixed media so wavy lines or cracks are just part of the full effect to me. :) I love how the criss-cross one turned out, worth the effort!
Fold the tape that you leave over the edge, over so the adhesive isn’t exposed and gives you a bit of a “handle” to easily use to pull. Virtual hugs to you! With all the bad luck you have had, I do hope 2023 for you and your family is smooth sailing!
Oh my! Some people must have lots of time to count the okays! I am always happy to watch you and hear your stories! I hope the carpenter shows up on these nice days. So frustrating when they don't communicate! Sorry you didn't have the Christmas you had planned but glad they were safe in the end. I have not done any mixed media but this looks fun. My hubby and I got the you know what so I am glad for you to keep me company. Hugs sweet Gayle
Lovely mixed media papers Gayle! No wonder you felt grouchy…when worried about your family, your kids, it doesn’t matter how old they are, if they’re unwell, in a perilous situation, your feelings have to manifest somewhere! Families that are able to all get together for the holidays are very fortunate, however for a lot of us it’s next to impossible, so I have learned to not stress about it. If it’s Christmas in July, so be it! (And, sad to say a lot of contractors take on a lot of jobs, so you rarely get someone for a whole day). It will get better…All the best for 2023 to you and your beautiful family!❤️🇨🇦
Hope everyone is doing well now ❤. Your word for the year should be "Kind" or "whatever" for the people who feel they have to leave negative comments. You do not say okay too much, they just need to get a life. Hope you have an awesome year and your patio get done.
After three years two vaccines and two boosters my husband and I got the “you know what”! Sick as a dog☹️. At our age it wasn’t fun. Here’s to a new year , finished decks, and great videos ❤️
This was mesmerising viewing, particularly when it came to peeling up the tape. I will definitely give thus a go - your results are incredible. On a more personal note, I'm so sorry to hear your family Christmas didn't eventuate as planned and the continuing difficulties with tradespeople. More than enough reason to get frustrated. Thanks for keeping it all real for us Gayle, and aptly demonstrating exactly how therapeutic creative play is. 😘🥰🤗
I really enjoyed watching the transformation of the paper and the surprise pattern when the tape was removed. Great idea. I think when I try it I will make a copy of the “before” to use for another project. Then I will have two papers to work with. Thanks for sharing. As for trades people, you are not alone. We have been talking to various people about a window and entry doors. They seem so enthusiastic and promising and then they go rogue and we can’t get their attention anymore. Five people and five months of waiting so far. Seems as tho their phones and our texts to them don’t work. I’m sorry you are having the troubles, too. I’m reasonably sure we can stop wondering if they are okay because we have also wondered that and I don’t think all five people are suddenly not okay. I feel for you and your frustration. Thank goodness you have a beautiful craft talent to help you get down off the ledge not to mention a darling husband to make you lunch every day!
So sorry you were feeling down and your frustration about the contractor is totally understandable. Praying all is well for him and you 💜. Hugs (Patty)
What a great idea Gayle!!! 💡 Two things if I may: You could fold the tape that hangs off the paper over so it doesn't stick to stuff and it offers you you lil pull tab. Also, you can write numbers on the tab piece so you will know what order to take the tape off. Secondly: In regards to your fun, self made stamps, what glue did you use? Any glue that I have tried so far, is so slimy and takes FOREVER to dry with foam. Thank you 😊 💓
"It needs a little darkness my old friend." I relate to these kinds of comments so much. I've been known to break out into song when I hear or say things that bring a song to mind. Sorry you're Christmas wasn't what you hoped. We have had many Christmases like that as my husband often works on Christmas. I can totally relate to being more worried about your child with autoimmune diseases when sick as my younger one has three. I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs
Don’t listen to those negative Nancy’s! You say whatever you want in your videos. Loved the mixed media projects. I can’t decide which one I liked better. I am definitely going to try this!
Good morning Gayle...sorry grumpy Gayle came out to play today, but you turned that frown upside down in under an hour...great going! That's our mental health check up for today. BTW I don't think I've EVER heard you be grumpy before...you are the Energizer bunny of happy and uplifting. Everyone has an off day once in a while. Don't fret about it. I get grumpy when my contractors don't show up either. You had good reason. This project IS super FUN! have a grateful day 🥰
This Christmas was crazy for my family, too. The 25th was just another day with just my hubby and I. But I told my family thar Christmas is when your family gets to celebrate it. The 25th is the commercialized companies who decided that the 25 day of Deember to celebrate Christmas. The Bible didn't state a date just the event that happened during religious prosecution war. So celebrate when you all can get together to make wonderful memories and share your love. Big hugs always.
Still sending Positive Healing Vibes and Prayers for you and your family! I think you should make a shirt that says,"That's a good stroke of business!" I think that's another one of your sayings. This was a great video I loved all the stamps you made yourself. Every one of the papers turned out absolutely gorgeous even the one that you had already done that you didn't like. I hope your handyman is okay and shows up very soon. Big hugs 💕🐞 Namaste 🥰
Poor Gayle. I understand the frustration of a crafosession gone wrong. Also the contractor frustrating. One when hiring a company to put down hardwood floors they pulled up old flooring down to the dirt. Then didn't show up more days then they did show up. Dirt was everywhere! Wishing you and your family many blessing in 2023!
Hi Gayle: I just want to let you know that I love painty papers, and this was a slant I'd never seen before. It was okay, fun and a whole lot of awesome! Thanks for the cool idea!
Hi Gayle. Hope your family is all well now. My 2023 isn't starting too great either. Our furnace quit working! We're fine though. FYI whenever you use tape on paper and then want to remove it, try using your heat gun or hair dryer to warm it up first. It really makes it a lot easier to remove if it's warmed up first. TFS... Great papers!
Oh my gosh, this turned out fantastic. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but when you started pulling the tape off I was like “Oh Yes”. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. HUGS 🤗
I think if you hit the tape with the heat gun before you peel it it softens the glue to make it easier to pull. I do that to get the gold strip off of Little Golden Books.
Good Morning Gayle! We all have those days; can be so frustrating. Hope your contractor is back and working. This is such a great idea, awesome to do with children too. TYFS and have a wonderful day! 👍❄️❄️❄️
I love these papers...such a great idea! Mesmorizing to watch you peel that tape off...it was transforming right before my eyes! I was so sorry to hear that your family Christmas plans fell through, but I'm glad that you still got to enjoy a little break. Happy New Year, Gayle! Wishing you happiness, good health, the successful FINISH of your house projects AND your art projects, and may those who leave mean comments MOVE ON in 2023!
Sorry you’re having some frustrations Gayle. Sure didn’t affect your video - you were fun to listen to as always and the designs turned out nicely!! 👍🏻👍🏻❤️ Glad to hear your daughter is feeling better!
Oh what a Christmas! I am sorry it wasn't as planned, so hard after so many years of not gathering! I love this project! Thanks for your patience in continuing and not giving up!
Great ideas Gayle! I’m sorry you were unable to spend time with your family over Christmas. Hope your daughter is feeling better. You can say ok as much as you like! Hugs!
I was going to spend Christmas with my son and his family. My daughter-in-law got the you know what so my Christmas was watching TH-cam videos. Hope everyone is well. Happy new year.
Does anyone like the mistake piece like I do? Perfectly imperfect! Oh Gayle, what a Christmas! And I would be grouchy much more often than you are if I had your contractor! Love that you made your own fun foam stamps! My mind is racing with all the things you could trace on that. Hmmm. Have a blessed 2023 and thank you for a great channel and your wonderful visits!
HI Gayle!! I remember doing this type of technique to create backgrounds when I did tole painting!! It was so fun back then to do and it was definitely fun to watch you do these papers!! They came out so pretty!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
What a way to ring in the New Year glad everyone is okay, we spent the holidays really sick here, and my uncle in the ICU so lots of fun..you have an amazing amount of patience to redo your video and this is a very neat idea 😊
What fun this was! Several times I said “that needs (insert paint color here) and that was the color you chose! Great minds think alike! 😉 I hope all your family is over their illness and feeling better. Thanks for refilling this! Have a blessed day!
Hi Gayle, you could try folding the ends of the tape back on itself to make a tab that that won’t stick to things and you could use the tab to pull the tape off.❤️
This is great, definitely going to give it a try. Funny about you saying OK too much, I find myself doing the same and laughing 😆 at myself thinking I’m doing a Gayle. Don’t change.😊
Good Morning Gayle! Your creativity never ceases to amaze me! I so enjoy watching and listening to your videos. I am so sorry your Christmas didn't turn out as planned and you missed your fun time with family. Winter weather can be so unpredictable! ⛄❄ I'm with you when technology doesn't cooperate...so frustrating! The paper with the different size tapes is such a beautiful combination of colors. Love it! Here's hoping you and your family have a blessed New Year in 2023 ! ❤😍
These are gorgeous Gayle! Maybe if you fold the tape onto itself as the over hang, giving you a bit of tab to pull. Hope things are going more smoothly for your now and that your family is healthy and settled again soon. Hugs.
When you use your heat gun you are activating the glue on the washi tape I would use with caution. Definitely leave the edges for easy access to the tape. I love how they turned out.
Hi Gayle, Been watching on the big TV in the living room which always makes me forget to come and leave a comment, but I am watching! This is so interesting, everything turned out very cool. You always have the most interesting ideas. Thanks for the share yesterday, I really appreciate it.
Really love these. I am going to have a try :) Okay. thank you for remaking the video. okay. Even though it was a big annoyance. Okay. You're fabulous. Okay. I am glad your family are all well and safe, okay. I am sad you didn't get to spend Christmas with them though. I spent Christmas alone myself as family was working and doing other things. Take care, okay. (I kept saying okay to be sassy, I never even noticed you say okay a lot haha. I would say it more if someone told me that was annoying them haha)
Happy Monday Morning Gayle! Amazingly fun playful video to watch! Hoping your daughter is over the ”you know what” and glad all are safe. Please keep being you we all love your channel and your outstanding beautiful personality & creativity! Big big big Hugzz 💖
Goodness! WooHoo for Joni for taking inn all her siblings! That's the real Christmas spirit!! 💕 Good to hear that your daughter is doing good (with the you-know-what). You know, I like the paper with just the different washi tapes on it. 😍 Going to give that a try! Oh, but then I love it when al the paint is on and the tape comes off! What a great idea!!! 😍💕❤
That last paper turned out so neat!! Loved it. Not sure if I will ever learn to mix colors like you and Ceri do but it is fun to see you two do it. Maybe I will get brave one of these days. Happy crafting and hugs for your troubles!!
This was such a fun video to watch. I had no idea what the outcome was going to be!! You are so creative. I can't wait to try this. TFS So sorry you're having so much trouble with your carpenter. I would be really frustrated too.
Stopping The Video 5 Minutes In 〰️ To Say … Sometimes, Mistakes Can Become BLESSINGS ! I just saw what your tape had done, with lifting the pattern 〰️ I LOVE THAT ! … You could actually now go for a different look, and stamp your Tim Holtz, Number Stamps, in the blank space 〰️ I Love Doing Distress Techniques, That Lift Color
I sure hope your carpenter shows up soon and finishes the project. Scheeze. Hope he is okay and not sick. Your mixed media pages are so fun. I love the colors you have used. Our Christmas was very quiet. Horrible weather across the US for sure.
Good morning Gayle🤗 Glad everyone is doing okay, the holidays were filled with shenanigan's for us as well but we survived. Enjoyed watching your process, take care and have a good day. 💕
This was very interesting one suggestion…when you use heat over sticky tape type things it tends to make getting the tape off more difficult as it melts the sticky onto the surface.
Hi Gayle, I was watching you peel off your tape and I thought what could help is if you used your heating tool on the back of the paper. The stickiness would soften or partially melt and allow the tape to be removed easily.
Beautiful painty papers!! Who knew pulling tape makes for a great workout!? 😁 As you were thinking about what color to add next & said: I think what we need is some "darkness my [old] friends", I heard the song reference immediately!! 🎶😘 SO SORRY your Christmas didn't turn out as you had hoped for!! 😔 I pray that everyone is feeling better & things are looking up for the new year!!! 🙏🏻❤🤗
Awesome! Yesterday I pulled out some sticker paper with mixed media goodness. This would be cool on sticker paper!! I think the mixed media looks very good against neutral book pages. I love how the yellow page turned out...the yellow spaces would be great for journaling!
Hey Gayle 😀I'm sorry your first video was all messed up,but thank you for re-filming. This technique seems fun and easy, something enjoyable for when I don't know what I want to do and have no mojo. Sorry your Christmas with the family was a bust, but I'm glad everyone is ok and that the sickos are feeling better. That winter storm was a doozie! A sprinkler pipe froze in my son's apartment building, the fire alarm went off, the trucks came...it was crazy.
Thank you so much, Eliza, for your gift through YT Super Thanks! I appreciate your support so very much! I absolutely love what I do and spending time with my YT crafting buddies! Your appreciation and support are received with a grateful heart. Thank you so much! Love and hugs to you! 🤗❤️
Happy New Year, Gayle! Sorry about your Christmas plans. We just found out our grands exposed us to the "nasty bug" a few days ago. This was an awesome mixed media day (of course, they always are), but wow, the papers turned out gorgeous. I have to try this and see what I come up with. Thank you for all the wonderful, fun videos.
I enjoyed this cool idea for your mixed media Monday Gayle. Winter in general makes me grumpy. I too hate it when your contractor is a no-show, and silent to boot. My old house needs some expensive foundation work and I totally dread it. So very sorry to hear your family Christmas plan was a bust., Gayle. One of my friends said she is hosting a surprise party for Jesus in July. That way, no worries about travel woes and she can finally get her family in one place. Hugs and love.
This is for the people that comment… you know who you are. If you can’t say something positive don’t say anything at all and move on. Gayle and the other you tubers that make videos for us to watch take there time to do so. Be positive, there’s enough bad in this world and this is supposed to be our happy place. Keep being you Gayle and craft on… OK. ❤️ from 🌴Florida. Love the papers by the way.😁
The first video I watched of yours, you said someone had counted the number of times you had said the word "fun." So some things never change. The green painters tape is low tac which you might like better even than blue, and is much better than regular masking tape which sticks & dries.
As a newbie I have not tried mixed media yet. So it was good to see that things don't always go the way you/we might want - so you showed us how we can just do it again! Great job Gayle 👍

G'day Gayle. I like these. The one on the blue paper is so pretty. To me it looks like a garden/flowers through some window blinds ... love it.
I can see that. Interesting
@@karenhayes9221 oh good ... thought I'd need new glasses lol

Could you leave the tape long and fold it back on itself so you have a tab to pull? Turned out terrific!

Love that you made your own fun foam stamps! My mind is racing with all the things you could trace on that. Hmmm. Have a blessed 2023 and thank you for a great channel and your wonderful visits!
Absolutely beautiful Gayle! These will make really cool digitals. I was really enjoying the great reveal!
HI Gayle!! I remember doing this type of technique to create backgrounds when I did tole painting!! It was so fun back then to do and it was definitely fun to watch you do these papers!! They came out so pretty!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Hello Gayle, I love these papers, they are awesome, enjoyed so much watching you create them. TFS ^-^
That's gorgeous, Gayle.
What a way to ring in the New Year glad everyone is okay, we spent the holidays really sick here, and my uncle in the ICU so lots of fun..you have an amazing amount of patience to redo your video and this is a very neat idea 😊
Hope your uncle recovers well. 🙏❤️
Once again, I really enjoyed what you did on this video. Very fun and interesting!
Really liked the blue page
What fun this was! Several times I said “that needs (insert paint color here) and that was the color you chose! Great minds think alike! 😉 I hope all your family is over their illness and feeling better. Thanks for refilling this! Have a blessed day!
Good morning! Love this experiment! Lots of fun and easy! Thanks for sharing! Blessings! 💕
Morning Julie! ❤
Morning Debbie! Happy New Year! 🎉❤️
This was so interesting and fun to watch. If it’s any consolation, it seems even when you’re “grumpy”, you seem pretty darn nice …ok? 😉
So beautiful. It's an interesting technic. I love it. Greetings from West Germany. Happy new year.
This is something new to try. Thinking I may just do it. Thanks! 😊
Happy Monday Morning Gayle! Amazingly fun playful video to watch! Hoping your daughter is over the ”you know what” and glad all are safe. Please keep being you we all love your channel and your outstanding beautiful personality & creativity! Big big big Hugzz 💖
Morning Cherri! ❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct you say “ok” as much as you like Gayle! OK?💖
Love ❤️ them 😘👍🏻
Goodness! WooHoo for Joni for taking inn all her siblings! That's the real Christmas spirit!! 💕
Good to hear that your daughter is doing good (with the you-know-what).
Happy Monday! First Monday of the new year, can you believe it! Have a blessed day! Love you! ❤
Love you sis! ❤
Those look amazing! I will definitely be getting the digitals. I must try to do this! Thanks for the idea! ❤️
It is fun!
This was such a fun video to watch. I had no idea what the outcome was going to be!! You are so creative. I can't wait to try this. TFS So sorry you're having so much trouble with your carpenter. I would be really frustrated too.
Hi Gayle! hugs 🤗
Love this! If you've never watched John Beckley give him a shot. He uses painters tape in his art. You'll like him.
I sure hope your carpenter shows up soon and finishes the project. Scheeze. Hope he is okay and not sick. Your mixed media pages are so fun. I love the colors you have used. Our Christmas was very quiet. Horrible weather across the US for sure.
I love your videos and always learning with your videos
Hello Gayle! Wow! I am so glad to hear everyone's alright! Prayers and good thoughts for your daughter! 🙏❤
What a fun project!
Good morning Gayle🤗
Glad everyone is doing okay, the holidays were filled with shenanigan's for us as well but we survived. Enjoyed watching your process, take care and have a good day. 💕
Good morning Celeste! Yes, a holiday that won’t soon be forgotten, but many blessing sprinkled through too. Love and hugs to you, my friend! ❤
Such a neat technique! Love how the final paper turns out!
This was very interesting one suggestion…when you use heat over sticky tape type things it tends to make getting the tape off more difficult as it melts the sticky onto the surface.
Good morning Gayle! What a fun play! Great ideas! 💖💕Hugs!
Morning Junell! ❤
Good morning, Gayle ☕️🌻❤️
Good morning, sweet friend! ❤️
I really like using the splatter stamp in black on my journal cards and then sprayed or misted with gold.
Brilliant Gayle, can’t wait to have a go myself! Thankyou for sharing x
Hi Gayle, I was watching you peel off your tape and I thought what could help is if you used your heating tool on the back of the paper. The stickiness would soften or partially melt and allow the tape to be removed easily.
OMG I love this. Thanks for sharing and providing endless inspiration. Hugs💜💜💜Vernie
Totally worth going over to see that! 😍
Good morning sweet Gayle! I hope you have a fabulous day xoxo hugs
Morning Lorie! ❤
Thanks!
Thank you so much, Eliza, for your gift through YT Super Thanks! I appreciate your support so very much! I absolutely love what I do and spending time with my YT crafting buddies! Your appreciation and support are received with a grateful heart. Thank you so much! Love and hugs to you! 🤗❤️
I like the ones with the tape left on also.
Very interesting
Happy New Year, Gayle! Sorry about your Christmas plans. We just found out our grands exposed us to the "nasty bug" a few days ago. This was an awesome mixed media day (of course, they always are), but wow, the papers turned out gorgeous. I have to try this and see what I come up with. Thank you for all the wonderful, fun videos.
Happy New Year! 🎉❤️
😂. What a great idea! ❤
Love the papers by the way.😁
I tried the carpet tape/fabric/washi tape trick. I loved it. It is super easy and so cool. Thanks for the great idea!
