I absolutely agree, I can’t believe people are being so negative about a festival that cost less than£50!!!!

110% could see you are a die hard fan but also honest about the problems that need worked out and how much of it was the actual venues problems. It looked like an amazing time besides the problems you mentioned and the fake fans shoving Kacie and making her so uncomfortable you guys had to move. But, she was right her in video, you looked like you had a better time rocking out in the back with the space you had to do so. As someone who didn't go who only has had insight from yours and Kacie's videos it looked pretty amazing and safe which is so difficult in our world today. It's like every one wants another Woodstock. Well, that was the 60's and a different time. I don't think it would be the same today. Love the part about the pilot like a TV show. Bludfest is a show I'd want to keep watching.

I wasn’t there, but I agree with everything you said. The hate he’s getting for both bludfest and brat isn’t fair to him. These people aren’t taking so much into consideration and they aren’t really looking at the whole picture. Thank you for posting this. I’m sharing this much love 🖤🖤

your review is perfect! i think if people want water in the queue they should bring water, it just so happened it was a beautifully hot weekend so many would have come unprepared. but i think every other review was great!

I agree your bang on! Other than missing the artists due to the queues the festival was absolutely amazing 🖤 couldn’t fault a single thing.
It’s obvious some of the people who did go are simply unaware of the costs of parking & food & that’s not Doms fault.
Absolutely well said hun x x

We were in thw queue for just over 2.5hrs. I ended up with bad heat exhaustion from it. There's always gonna be haters but the festival as a whole was just absolutely brilliant!

Haters are going to hate😡 when you hear them bashing Dom, consider the source and their intentions: mean girls/ influencers wanting clicks, bullies who are secretly jealous of his talent and his lifestyle, people who just don’t like him and have no business going to Bludfest and want to try to ruin it for him and his true fans.
I am a 56 yo California mom of 2 boys. My oldest passed away in 2018 @ 21 yo & my youngest is 25 now. My oldest was super smart, (computer programmer and 1 of the top beta testers for “League of Legends”, very empathetic, but shy and could not handle this cruel world. He was 6’3” blond wavy hair, blue eyes and looked like a Viking. He was beautiful inside & out. BUT I wish I could have introduced him to YUNGBLUDs music. He would have loved him, His music, his style and how outgoing he is. My son was like me and LOVED music and the style. I introduced him to Bowie, Queen, Black Sabbath & Ozzy of course. Metallica, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Blondie, Depeche Mode, Berlin, Dead or Alive, Disturbed, Adam Lambert, The Script. & so many more. would sing at the top of our lungs (out of tune and some wrong lyrics 🤷‍♀🤘) but these are my favorite memories of him. I was able to share my love of music with him and that “it's ok to be different, just be true to yourself” (and, as my boys like to tell me “I’m a little bit of evil & twisted mixed in). Ironically, he loved when I would bring him home clothes like punk, rock and anything British esp lots of zippers, snaps, leather, lots of accessories. I had kilts made for my boys but he passed before he was able to finish the fittings. 🙏😭
I grew up in the 80’s and music was my salvation. I Loved it all (not really country except for Garth Brooks). Full black eyeliner and mile high hair (although I went full Sinead @ 17 and my dad wouldn’t look or talk to me for a month until it started to grow back). I embraced the punk/rock look. My grandparents were from Scotland (Wallace) @ I went full British punk / new wave / rock all mixed together. Black, lots of safety pins, jewelry, pounds of hairspray and gel, heavy makeup, a few kilts it short of course (in black or Wallace red) trench coats. It was such a great time. No autotune, no pitch correction & lots of great artists & bands coming from overseas. I think YUNGBLUD would have killed it in the 70’s & 80’s. I think he is a bit of Bowie, Mercury, Ozzy, & Lambert all mixed in to one very talented artist.I am hoping to make it to the next BLUDFEST. Fingers crossed 🤞
Keep up the great work Dom and be true to yourself. Tune out the haters, they just want to tear you down not build you up. ❤🙏🤘😊🤩

i missed some artists i was super excited to see because of the queue but still was able to understand that this was the first festival ever and of course not everything is going to be perfect. at the end of the day, it was still such an amazing night

There is always hate, envy , jealousy sadly towards someone who is doing well and trying to build something good . Yungblud adores his fans and is always concerned about their safety .
He is unique and one of the best human beings on the planet right now and as real as they come ❤

Totally agree Will, yes there were teething problems but it’s the first one so there is going to be. Blaming dom for the sun and gate issues is ridiculous how can he be blamed for that? The weather is a natural occurrence and we were all aware it was going to be hot! So be prepared! The gate issues is down to how the venue run the system again not dom! The festival itself in general was amazing! Myself, my son and our friends and their children had a fantastic time and are most certainly looking forward to the next one!! Like you say there’s always going to be hate and dom is by no means perfect but he’s a bloody legend and he does so much for his fans some people are just disrespectful of him and ungrateful! I say a big well done to him and his team for bringing this together for us🖤🖤

Sadly some people are always going to hate on Dom. No matter what he does or doesn't do. There will be those that are so ready to feed on the negative and never focus on the abundance of positive. "And that's when you know that you made it. You made it, when you're hated." ~ YUNGBLUD 🖤🖤🖤

I had an amazing time. Never been to a music festival before and it was a brilliant first experience of one. I think Dom did a superb job and couldn’t have done more actually.
We brought water ourselves as advised and sun cream as advised. The venue needs to improve on the queuing system and managing each queue to speed things up, but not anything Dom could do.
Food prices were the same as most places, spent £23 on food for two and £13 on drinks.
The only improvement I can see that is easily possible is to open the doors earlier, like between 11 or 12pm, so most people would be in before the first act.
I for one look forward to the next one and think Dom did a top job
    🖤🖤🖤

  • @tenthousanddaysofgratitude
    @tenthousanddaysofgratitude 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I think empathy for those who suffered is in order. It’s disappointing to have a bad experience wanting to see someone you love. Still, I wonder…
    1. Don’t people expect to arrive several hours before doors, at a festival? Tens of thousands of people in queue = a long wait.
    2. Absolutely, doors probably should have opened earlier. Big headliner acts like Harry Styles and Taylor Swift open in the afternoon, for an evening performance- to minimize the bottlenecks.
I’m sure Dom will learn and make provisions from this.
Maybe a separate queue for families with children and more first aid provisions outside the venue, next time?
    3. I got stuck trying to get in to a stadium show in Vancouver and it took 2 hours to get in. I wasn’t as concerned about missing the opening acts as I was about being crushed. There was no orderly queue but a mad push of a large crowd against one entrance.
Given how many people were queued for Bludfest, I heard nothing about people being afraid of a crush. That tells me security did their job.
    4. It’s also incumbent on people to look after their own welfare and make their own decisions to bring sun cream, water and food for the queue. (Bin it if you have stuff still, when you get to security screening)
I haven’t been to a festival for years because of all the faff but has there been this much hate over the wet, muddy and sometimes unsanitary conditions of historic Glasto festivals? People still flock to Glasto.
I empathize with those who were disappointed. I’m sure next year will be even better.

      @samgeelzzz2229 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Agree with most of your points but a couple of things I’d like to add (from someone who attended the event)
      1. I think arriving earlier than doors wouldn’t have made much difference, the main issue with this event in my opinion were the lack of gates/ security actually employed so queues backed up far too quickly. I’ve been to many Uk day festivals with literally 5x as many gates to enter.
Ive seen a lot of people online say things like ‘it’s his first festival’ and I agree there will be teething problems associated with pilot events but the main issue is the venue it’s self I think, such a lack of gates for such a big event seemed very strange. Maybe a better option for Yungblud going forward to eliminate this issue would be moving venues.
I empathise with anyone who had to leave the queue due to heatstroke or having young children that simply couldn’t hack the heat for that long. I think people really underestimate how quickly the heat can get to you and saw so many people with sun burn, no water bottle and sun hat, the heat will get you quickly if you’re unprepared because In or out the queue youre still subjected to the heat the whole day regardless.
I personally queued for 2hrs 45 and missed the first 3 acts on the main stage but once I got into the venue the event was brilliant and I had a great time.

Thank you for talking about the festival from a logistics and industry point of view and highlighting that Dom only had a say on the price of the actual ticket. It’s obvious that this must have been a lot of people’s first ever proper festival. The fact that everything around gigs and festivals cost A LOT of money and people are only just realising that now… 🤦🏼‍♀️

I genuinely think Dom and the entire planning crew will take all of the valid criticism seriously and seek to improve future BludFests. I was sort of panicking while I was watching it in real time on X… I am a diehard fan, I want him to feel proud and get his flowers BUT there are valid criticisms that need attention. All that said I want this to be so successful and make it to many cities in the US in the future ❤ side note: and NOT trying to be a jerk but I find you all struggling so much with heat at roughly less than 83/84f kind of funny. We here in the US go to festivals and concerts with huge waits in like 95f weather.

Yungblud is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He made Sure that I was OK because I was getting crushed. I am a full-time wheelchair user however The festival venue was terrible for anybody with accessibility issues, especially wheelchair users. I missed seeing noahfinnce because I couldn't get over the stones at the second stage, and I missed out on the other attractions, I couldn't go to the toilet as I couldn't fit in the accessibility portalose and I couldn't get food because It wasn't easy to access and far away from my carer because they were ill because of the heat and they use a walking stick but I DON'T BLAME DOM IT IS HIS TEAM 🖤

I saw the video Dom did regarding this guy James (who is he anyway?) and he handled it very well! I was impressed! As for the B.R.A.T clothing line Dom is a business man in addition to being a rock star. It's pricey though.

  • @amycoulson5857

I think 99 percent of issues is just the venue alone which couldn’t really be helped and dom himself dosent deserve the criticism xx

  • @sarahbarsby5345

It definitely was the venues fault, the had no control over the crowds, and especially the rule about having 1 sealed bottle to take it.
Everything definitely was fairly priced, I'm 37 so used to food being pricey, but I brought 2 t-shirt and a hoodie so they were cheap. Food was average priced but was lovely. I till £400 with me and only spent like £200.
Dom, was amazing the festival was amazing, and we will all learn from the Venues mistakes.
I'm hating all the moaning about Dom it wasn't his fault.
Drives you mad don't it, when everyone is slatin him. Roll on next year hehe xxxxx

The thing is, there is always gonna be problems with something when it's new. People can't say all this to attack YUNGBLUD as if all other festivals went swimmingly on their first year. Bludfest was cheap and he got people as big as Lil Yachty for it so if you're gonna complain about food prices that's stupid, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
I loved bludfest and I'm super excited for next years! I got there around 2 and didn't get in until 3 and whilst there wasn't water there was people selling things like fans too (which i know everyone couldn't afford obviously) but it shows he had thought about it kinda. Every opportunity he took to warn people he would say on the instagram that you should bring water with you to the lines and to wear TONS of sunscreen. Once i got in, it was great and I had no issues. The fact it didn't open till 2 means people could get food beforehand like you said.

It is shocking how Yungblud gets the controversy when Muse played there last year at the MK Bowl and it was THE EXACT SAME THING!!! 3 hour + queues, overpriced drinks and food, fainting and no water facilities.
