Finally, a reboot of a classic animated show from the 90s that stays true to the original, particularly the animation style.
This felt more like a continuation to me.
Like God of War 2018, long after GoW 3. Same continuity, huge time gap!

Demons? By 2020 standards those three are absolute angels. The Warners are comepletely chaotic and irreverent, but they aren't bringing the world a curse. They're a much needed blessing during this cursed year!
I grew up zany due to the Animaniacs, I've always loved them, and much of my personality and humor is based on them. When I heard they were coming back with new episodes I literally cried of joy
Its great to see them again, but they choose a bleak time to come back on the air.

@@matsujonen No, it's still Tress MacNeille, she's just gotten older and thus so has her voice, probably harder for her to quite nail Dot anymore.
Though she may shake the rust off. I saw a video of them doing the dialogue, and sometimes she didn't quite sound like Dot, but other times she was on point.
Greatest teaser trailer I can remember. Infinitely better when it's actually its own content instead of just montage-ing future episodes.

I love how self-aware this is to the point they actually used an animation cel in the scene. If you look closely, you can see it also contains their designs from the original run. The attention to that kind of detail makes collectors of animation production art like me super excited. This is going to be amazing guys!

@@aaronbuffalo7769 it's just not the style anymore. The original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 16 are the perfect example of it. One can be subtle and subversive, and the other is not.
I'm not sure about Tiny Toons. Some of the actors have either died (Joe Alaskey and Don Messick) or have seemingly retired (Gail Matthius). But maybe it could work.
No animation cells this time, it looks like digital pen and ink.

The perfect reboot doesn’t exis-
Jurassic Park is the perfect metaphor for the reboot. It's back but it doesn't feel like the original and lost it's edge. They were brought back by TV executive who ask "if they could, not if they should.."
As Ian Malcolm would say Animaniacs "had their shot" and the audience "selected them for extinction." Animaniacs was cancelled because times moved on.
When Spielberg said that Animaniacs were coming home that actually made me tear up a little, good to have them back

I like how Steven Spielberg says he “reanimated them” that shows that he loved their old looks and had no problem with how they looked 22 (edit: my bad, misheard) years ago that he gave them just a more brighter-ish color to their classic selves.

Redoing that scene from Jurassic Park nearly line-for-line and starting almost shot-for-shot... the brilliantly drawn/voiced caricatures of the film's actors... Spielberg as Dr. Hammond... the Warners just perfectly being themselves... the animation cel with their classic designs... Pinky and the Brain's announcement evoking the same awe and reverence as the phrase, "We have a T-Rex"...

@@coreymartin3218 they brought back the original voice cast. Yeah I've read about how the original creator wasn't involved though but at the same time I really don't like to play the politics game. Spielberg has done alot of projects in animation and many original creators aren't brought back onto shows.

Just finished the first episode and I must say it is comedy gold!
The first episode basically summarizes everything in 2020 and before it.
I don’t who made the idea of putting Spielberg as John Hammond but this whole sequence is as gold as 1993.
Edit: I know for a long time Spielberg executive produced the show, I’m just like “Brah, making him Hammond was genius. XD”

Though, seeing Hulu going along with it is a good reassurance of quality in this reboot.
I dare say this show could become the rival of Ducktales 2017 for the best cartoon reboot.

The greatest cartoon comeback I’ve ever seen
So everyone keeps commenting on "the Hulu guy" saying "We're going to make a fortune on this show", but I have to wonder how many people realize that was an almost direct quote from the lawyer in the same scene in Jurassic Park.
Now I want to go back and rewatch the original Jurassic Park. LOL
If they continue with the Jurassic Park theme in an actual short, I want the Hulu Lawyer to be eaten by Chicken Boo LOL
