There’s also how Yakko initially DOES let them keep the bunnies despite his suspicions at first because it would make them happy and it was harmless at first. A realistic portrayal! I hate the stereotypical "oldest sibling is an asshole genius, middle sibling is an attention hog, youngest sibling is a brat/dumb" that writers put into... literally everything with siblings. Maybe that's why I loved animaniacs as a kid.

The Warners are the perfect functional family, they go toe-to-toe with the Addams Family on healthy relationships. Yakko is the protective older brother, the other two look up to him.
Both The Warners and The Adams have a healthy family relationship and overall unconventionality that make them fun to watch while still giving you a positive vibe. I wish more TV families were portrayed like that instead of everyone written like they despise each other. Very few comedies know how to actually portray it in an entertaining way, and it usually just comes across as sad and depressing.
@@strawberryfieldswhenever but i acknowledge there's the other side where having dysfunctional families is more familiar amd relatable to people, and they can still come up with wacky situations. For example. "Little Miss Sunshine". In that movie the family is hanging by a thread, and it is sad but they are portrayed as real people so no one hates each other, not really. They just don't address their issues, just like real families do. That is relatable, and putting them on a road trip brought on hijinx that were funny to me. And it had the family come a little closer. They learn almost nothing in their experience, but they pull through and are at least there for each other and made fond memories. Most movies just have them fight and then randomly learn to get along then they're perfect in the end. Not realistic.

However, families where everyone loathes each other has become such a cliche at some point, I've practically come to expect it in everything I watch. But the worst part is that too many dysfunctional families are written poorly. It's like most of Hollywood believes that having family members act nasty toward each other automatically equals a joke, when you need to understand what causes families to behave dysfunctionally in the first place in order to make it funny.

Addams Family are always nice, but sometimes they have issues they have trouble working out. That is endearing, and it makes me invested. Warners too. They always hit each other, punch, pull, poke, and insult each other. But they love and support each other. They hug, comfort, reassure, protect, and hype each other up. They have no parents, so they look to each other. They're just kids but they survive everyday by being together.

It's just that those type of families have mostly faded out by the 90s, and no one would take that type of family seriously today. Hyper douchy families, on the other hand, are everywhere. Families like The Adams and The Warners hit a great medium. They have their troubles, but they also genuinely support and love each other in their own unconventional and unique way that is never too sappy.

This boy had gone through a ringer with having his fears exploited and nearly losing his soul…but he doesn’t get his bearings back until his siblings reassure him that they’re okay, and that they think he’s funny.
I think the scariest part about that is we literally see what happens when Yakko has a panic attack. Coincidence being that this is a killer clown that eats your soul if you get scared. So what makes this moment even cuter for me is the fact the his siblings being there for him saved his life in this moment. It’s adorable. Annnd now I’m gonna be called crazy Bc this is a kids show. Why am I over analyzing a kids show?
That part always makes me disturbed and sad. The writing is amazing as we get to see a vulnerable side to yakko’s fear. But all the while, he’s a caring and protective older brother.

Oh, they are _way_ smarter than they look! These guys outsmart jerks on a regular basis, and they have songs covering educational topics from the nations of the world, the U.S. states and capitals, the presidents of the United States, multiplication, earthquakes, the senses, the planets of our solar system, the universe, and so much more! If they are lacking in any particular type of intelligence, it's their capacity for common sense and linear thinking. They'll come up with overly complicated solutions to simple problems. Also, each sibling has the attention span of a goldfish.

I love how they're the siblings who can make each other laugh and goof off while also being the siblings that are great at being passive-aggressive along with hurting each other.
Some things about their designs that I love: 1. Their tails bristle when they are shocked or scared and it’s adorable 2. Heights differ more in the reboot so now Yakko is even more of the big brother 3. THE. FANGS. I LOVE THE TOOFERS. 3. So much more expressive than the original (I still love the original though)
The fact Yakko had to Basically play parent and is constantly worrying about his siblings but also has fun and still behaves like a kid is amazing and I love it. He still acts his age enough to where its obvious he's a kid, but cares about his siblings and the writers still make him fairly responsible. As someone who had to play parent for a short while, its a pretty accurate representation of what a child would behave like in that situation
Half the video is the Warners being wholesome, and the other half is them insulting each other/outright beating each other up. Sounds about right for siblings XD
Watching this altogether makes me notice this new reboot really likes using yakko as the punchline. Like...it spends a lot of time dunking on him. As someone who was a big fan of yakko as a smol child i am here for this tho because it is very funny
While I do believe that either the Warner’s are orphans or they don’t have parents because they’re cartoons, I don’t think Wakkos wish is canon. There’s too many plot holes to how it would tie into the rest of the series, it just seems like they were doing a story telling skit like they usually do. Still, I love that Yakko and Otto (I don’t think Otto is anymore tbh which makes me sad) were parental figures.

Props to the creators for noticing that the fan base would like the Warners to be more established characters in the reboot rather than just being zany They've always had personality but I feel like they're more fleshed out
7:18 what i loved about this sketch is that parody-pennywise did almost get yakko. He needs to be funny. He needs people to laugh. It was satisfying seeing an actual climax come from this sketch because as much as i love seeing them torment the villain of a sketch, its good seeing the villain almost win

(Sorry for commenting so much) I think the episodes where it showed how much the love each other the most are in the Bunny one where it shows Yakkos protective nature, the Halloween one where it’s revealed Yakko has a fear of being alone/apart from his siblings, and the one where they helped Wakko when he was crying over his donuts.
My younger brothers and I are planning on cosplaying the Waner kids (me as Yacko, my middle brother as Wacko & my youngest brother as Dot) and this compilation is mirrors our relationship, so this makes me so excited

A realistic portrayal! I hate the stereotypical "oldest sibling is an asshole genius, middle sibling is an attention hog, youngest sibling is a brat/dumb" that writers put into... literally everything with siblings. Maybe that's why I loved animaniacs as a kid.
Well I mean they were sort of coded that way on the surface, however Yakko is not an asshole, and they all like attention.

Fun fact, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are based on real siblings! Tom Ruegger, the creator of Animaniacs, based the siblings on his three sons. Many of the Warners' gags in the original 1993 series were based on things Tom Ruegger's own sons did! The Warner Siblings were also partially inspired by The Marx Brothers, a group of comedian brothers who starred in popular films in the 1930s and 1940s. In particular, Yakko's fast-talking, wise guy personality was heavily inspired by Groucho Marx, and Wakko's tendency toward silent, physical comedy was inspired by Harpo Marx. Their influences are much more obvious if you watch the 1993 version of Animaniacs, but this series pays homage to the siblings' Marx Brothers influence by having them dress up as The Marx Brothers for Halloween in "Fear and Laughter in Burbank."

The Warners are the perfect functional family, they go toe-to-toe with the Addams Family on healthy relationships.
Yakko is the protective older brother, the other two look up to him.
Both The Warners and The Adams have a healthy family relationship and overall unconventionality that make them fun to watch while still giving you a positive vibe. I wish more TV families were portrayed like that instead of everyone written like they despise each other. Very few comedies know how to actually portray it in an entertaining way, and it usually just comes across as sad and depressing.

For example. "Little Miss Sunshine". In that movie the family is hanging by a thread, and it is sad but they are portrayed as real people so no one hates each other, not really. They just don't address their issues, just like real families do. That is relatable, and putting them on a road trip brought on hijinx that were funny to me. And it had the family come a little closer. They learn almost nothing in their experience, but they pull through and are at least there for each other and made fond memories. Most movies just have them fight and then randomly learn to get along then they're perfect in the end. Not realistic.

However, families where everyone loathes each other has become such a cliche at some point, I've practically come to expect it in everything I watch. But the worst part is that too many dysfunctional families are written poorly. It's like most of Hollywood believes that having family members act nasty toward each other automatically equals a joke, when you need to understand what causes families to behave dysfunctionally in the first place in order to make it funny.

Addams Family are always nice, but sometimes they have issues they have trouble working out. That is endearing, and it makes me invested. Warners too. They always hit each other, punch, pull, poke, and insult each other. But they love and support each other. They hug, comfort, reassure, protect, and hype each other up. They have no parents, so they look to each other. They're just kids but they survive everyday by being together.

It's just that those type of families have mostly faded out by the 90s, and no one would take that type of family seriously today. Hyper douchy families, on the other hand, are everywhere. Families like The Adams and The Warners hit a great medium. They have their troubles, but they also genuinely support and love each other in their own unconventional and unique way that is never too sappy.

This boy had gone through a ringer with having his fears exploited and nearly losing his soul…but he doesn’t get his bearings back until his siblings reassure him that they’re okay, and that they think he’s funny.
I think the scariest part about that is we literally see what happens when Yakko has a panic attack. Coincidence being that this is a killer clown that eats your soul if you get scared. So what makes this moment even cuter for me is the fact the his siblings being there for him saved his life in this moment. It’s adorable. Annnd now I’m gonna be called crazy Bc this is a kids show. The fact Yakko had to Basically play parent and is constantly worrying about his siblings but also has fun and still behaves like a kid is amazing and I love it. He still acts his age enough to where its obvious he's a kid, but cares about his siblings and the writers still make him fairly responsible. As someone who had to play parent for a short while, its a pretty accurate representation of what a child would behave like in that situation

While I do believe that either the Warner’s are orphans or they don’t have parents because they’re cartoons, I don’t think Wakkos wish is canon. There’s too many plot holes to how it would tie into the rest of the series, it just seems like they were doing a story telling skit like they usually do. Still, I love that Yakko and Otto (I don’t think Otto is anymore tbh which makes me sad) were parental figures.

As an overprotective older sibling who’s also 14 but behaves like an old woman, I appreciate how tired of protecting his younger siblings Yakko is, he loves them but they can be stupid sometimes.

Just a thought: Don’t know whether you want to add in another sibling moment in case you need updates or not. In Hindenburg cola, when the siblings crash through the window to deliver the sod’s, Yakko falls first to the ground to cushion his siblings.

I love how you can clearly hear how dot's voice has changed or "grown up", but her brother's voices don't sound like they changed at all
It’s cause they didn’t! they are the same voice actors for the original :D
I think it’s a welcome change and you can see their personalities are changed slightly to suit the trends of 2020s.
