Hello JzoltYour question on thickness for cutting with a handheld, that can change based of torch, tips and cutting pressure. Typical systems would be up to 2"

Young guy still learning here. How do you get your lead out so perfect with out leaving a mark?

They probably grinded off all the slag before presenting it like that

@@ColtonM80yeah, but if the setting are good only a little slag will stick to the bottom. Easier to beat out too, because the slag not "gluing" it together at the bottom haha

obviously Plasma & lazer cutting can cut thicker material than O2C2H2 (lazy way of saying oxyacetylene) But what would be about the maximum limit for a.. hold that thought I see a recommended video of one cutting 850mm of steel.. thats like 34" of steel.. anyway, whats the thickest reasonable piece of steel one could cut with a handheld torch?

Plasma and laser can't cut thicker material than oxy acetylene. The material thickness is only maxed out by you max oxy flow from the cylinder. You probably could cut 1m of material if you wanted with a CNC. Handheld is limited by how steady your hand is. Usually about 150mm is max.
