One cool part i cut was a 12 foot long 4140 steel crank shaft 11"thick. By the time that thing made it to a huge lathe to be turned noone could guess how deep the money was for the finished product, but it must have been staggering$$.

Haha we cut those here sometimes 11 inch/270mm. biggest the machine accepts 300 but thats only a few times per year or years from whst i heard
