As a married woman of 36 years in August, with 2 adult children, our first grandchild (a beautiful girl) who is now almost 18 months old, I can tell you that having a newborn is one of the challenging times you face as a couple. The sleepless nights, the frustrations of trying to figure out why your baby isn’t sleeping perfectly, insecurities of “what am I doing wrong” (ie: why is she screaming, which is absolutely a normal thing babies do at this age) and, being so sleep deprived that a couple snaps at each other when they are not used to having this new stress even though it’s the most wonderful thing in their lives. This doesn’t mean something is wrong with your relationship and you guys are doing awesome in my humble opinion. You check in with each other, use humor, are engaging and honest about how difficult and trying it can be, not only as a parent but also as a couple. I am impressed that as such a young couple you share this with your viewers and do not sugar coat this to your viewers. I believe that in being honest with your viewers, you are showing other couples and parents of all ages that stressful times and even great times, you stick with it as a couple and work together to support one another. Through you and your husband’s actions you are a blessing to other couples as an example of honest and open communication. I’m 60 years old, you will go through up and downs in your relationship but, it’s like the stock market, hang in their, you will get your dividends in the end! It still blows my mind to see couples who both stay home all day. In my world, well I’ve worked a lot myself too, but not when my kids were born, however, my husband didn’t get to stay home with me and clean, get me coffee, take a baby shift, and make me breakfast, that’s for sure! Lol 😂 I had to get up and do all of that while he went to work. To this day, my Mister still goes to work every morning of the week, and Monday is still my favorite day. I think I’d go a little crazy if we spent 24 hrs a day together.😮

That is the greatest help for a new mom to be able to go back and sleep for a stretch. Getting some of the household stuff and bringing her breakfast. What a wonderful help
You guys are doing great!! Just hang in there I promise it does get easier! I had a 7 month old boy and oh man I remember the first couple of weeks being soooo anxious, sad, and tired. I definitely felt post partum blues. But it does get easier. You will find a good routine and you have each other for support which is great. Take little breaks when needed. For me, a quick shower in the morning and a little 5min makeup routine helped me start the day on the right foot! Best of luck xo

Keep trying all of the things to help soothe her - the swing, the stroller, a baby bouncer, etc. Every baby is different, but my son who is 10 weeks old was very fussy and still can be at times, but some of his favorite things are the bouncer and stroller which he initially hated. You’re doing a great job momma, even when it feels like you aren’t.
My twin boys were born on Father’s Day and I can definitely relate to a lot of this! Just remember that this part of being a parent is short term - as long as our babies are healthy and we are trying our best that is what matters Keep up the great work!! 💕

Dont feel the pressure of breast feeding if it isnt for you formula is totally fine!! Getting out of the house and feeling yourself may take time just go at your pace and comfort levels, dont let anyone pressure you or guilt you into anything. Your mental/physical health and family and needs come before others and their opinions/wants. Take advantage and enjoy every second you never know what the future holds and plenty have struggled tremendously even trying to conceive a miracle/healthy baby. It is a huge struggle but it is also a huge blessing.

It's always so fascinating to me to watch new couples have their first baby and then add on. I am a mom of 4 and two of them are now in their mid 20s. Cam and Mal it gets so much more fun and easier.
My son is almost 6 months old, but I remember new parent tired like it was yesterday. You guys are doing a great job! My husband and I came up with a system early on that worked for us, so that we could both get sleep. Now that he mostly sleeps through the night, my husband gets to sleep in on Saturdays and I get to sleep in on Sundays.

The beginning is always hard. I'm a single mom did it alone for 15 years. Shits hard but I promise you it's worth it and goes fast. I just turned 37 and my two boys are 17&13 and I'm so sad my oldest is going to college next year. So proud of him and happy for him but I'll miss him so very much. Enjoy every moment bc it flys by
I’m due in 11 days and so grateful my husband will stay home with us for 3 weeks. He said his main goal is to keep me fed and sane, he read quite a lot on postpartum depression etc.and wants to support me in postpartum recovery, especially that we don’t have any family around and after he’s gone back to work, I will be on my own
I have 4 kids and been married 18 years the biggest thing is you 2 being a team and doing what works for you 2 Cam is amazing what a great support system love u 2 I mean 3 ❤

Cam & Mal, or other new parents seeking advice or tips. My husband and I just had our first baby in May. We struggled with the swaddling issue one thing that has helped dramatically is sleep sacs we ordered like 10 from walmart i think it was about $12 for 2 pack. No more need for swaddling or worrying about them busting out or scratching their face or choking on the blanket in the middle of the night. The colic/excessive crying issue I promise IT WILL PASS & GET BETTER WITH TIME! In the mean time step away for a moment if needed, take turns, another thing that has worked for us temporarily is tummy time, put them in car seat for a bit or being held as much as possible. Also sleep in separate rooms taking turns when super sleep deprived and dont stress over chores or money and let that come in between your relationship. It can be difficult to get quality time with eachother but a shoulder to lean on, help with little things or small gestures can go along way! Hope this helps someone in need. It has taken us time and just trying different things to figure out what works best for us, although it may not be the same for everyone IT DOES GET BETTER and it's so worth it so don't let it get the best of you. Grandma here- please back sure newborns lil nose is never obstructed when using your wrap. When they get older you don’t have to worry. I love the new wraps! We had carriers called snuggles back in the 80’s not nearly as nice!

The beginning is always hard. I'm a single mom did it alone for 15 years. Shits hard but I promise you it's worth it and goes fast. I just turned 37 and my two boys are 17&13 and I'm so sad my oldest is going to college next year. So proud of him and happy for him but I'll miss him so very much. Enjoy every moment bc it flys by

I’m due in 11 days and so grateful my husband will stay home with us for 3 weeks. He said his main goal is to keep me fed and sane, he read quite a lot on postpartum depression etc.and wants to support me in postpartum recovery, especially that we don’t have any family around and after he’s gone back to work, I will be on my own
I have 4 kids and been married 18 years the biggest thing is you 2 being a team and doing what works for you 2 Cam is amazing what a great support system love u 2 I mean 3 ❤

Cam & Mal, or other new parents seeking advice or tips. My husband and I just had our first baby in May. We struggled with the swaddling issue one thing that has helped dramatically is sleep sacs we ordered like 10 from walmart i think it was about $12 for 2 pack. No more need for swaddling or worrying about them busting out or scratching their face or choking on the blanket in the middle of the night. The colic/excessive crying issue I promise IT WILL PASS & GET BETTER WITH TIME! In the mean time step away for a moment if needed, take turns, another thing that has worked for us temporarily is tummy time, put them in car seat for a bit or being held as much as possible. Also sleep in separate rooms taking turns when super sleep deprived and dont stress over chores or money and let that come in between your relationship. It can be difficult to get quality time with eachother but a shoulder to lean on, help with little things or small gestures can go along way! Hope this helps someone in need. It has taken us time and just trying different things to figure out what works best for us, although it may not be the same for everyone IT DOES GET BETTER and it's so worth it so don't let it get the best of you. I love yals shows. Have yal thought about the little sounds things like the vacuum machine and hair dryer? They a soft stuffies with smoothing sounds machine in them. They got more than 2 but they the only ones I can think of. Grandma here- please back sure newborns lil nose is never obstructed when using your wrap. When they get older you don’t have to worry. I love the new wraps! We had carriers called snuggles back in the 80’s not nearly as nice!
