My new favorite tire dressing/coating is Lone Star Tire Coating. Super easy to apply and looks great.

    Thank you Chelsea, great video.
It's about time someone did one on applicators and not certain Wax's... Ugh !
    Stay safe

I like the brush thingy you showed. I have the exact same one and I find that works best on my aggressive, knobby sidewall truck tires.

I use a similar applicator. Out of all the different ones I've tried it's my favorite too.

If you can, try and get hold of a decent tyre and rubber cleaner! Will keep the rubber in better shape, easier to clean on future details and won't leave much (if any) residue on your applicator when you come to dress. In the UK without a doubt the best such cleaner is Autoglanz rebound. If you can get some imported to where you are you'll never look back I promise!

Can you apply a topper/ceramic to maintain the shine longer while adding hydrophobicity? Maybe a ceramic spray or a graphine spray.

I love this applicator however on some tires with certain groves and lines it leaves too much product behind and I have to go behind and do more work. I suppose I need to work on my technique.

The Adam's Tire Applicator works really well with spray waxes. Color cider them with colored electrical tape.

Yes, the Adams wheel dressing applicator is great in my experience with all tire sizes. I also have one from Auto Zone AutoCraft wheel applicator that is very inexpensive and has a plastic holder so your hands don't get messy with the tire application formula. It has lasted for more than 5 years and has basically no deterioration. I think basically is to clean it up once finished and that makes it last, like any other tool. I applied different formulas to tires like 303 Protectant, Black Magic, etc which have been great and a fellow detailer in our island who's a good friend sent me the one from Ethos and it doesn't sling and is very hydrophobic. There is a video from FAB Automotive Detailing(Brian) who did a video on Ethos on his truck too this past week. Check it out.
Thanks for your video to the lady of the beautiful and clear voice. Hope you were able to enjoy the pool with your husband and children!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦☺️
    Xoxo from Puerto Rico 👍🇵🇷
After watching your video have to edit this comment to with the link to the video from Brian from Apex Detail (th-cam.com/video/aMsihf4RHic/w-d-xo.html) on exactly this subject with a product he uses. Sorry, the link is from my cellphone to TH-cam. He posted the video after yours. He is an IDA certified detailer.

IMO it does not work at all for low profile tires on a lowered car

I expected a comparison but i guess this is the best applicator? Especially for slimy/sticky tyre shine?

It’s the most durable and best for water based dressings imo.
      It also washes well

@@attention2detailswchelsea Hmm, i use the Maguire’s Tyre Shine the purple one, i heard the foam applicators suck them in, and that a brush would be better.

How well does this applicator work for you on tires with a lot of vertical grooves Chelsea? The applicator looks like it works really well here, but in my experience Michelin tires tend to be very user friendly for applying tire shine

Your gray flat brush applicator, have you used it on knobby tires? I have Nitto Ridge Grappler brand/type tires and have been looking for a really good all-in-one type of applicator to get between the knobby areas as well as the the flat areas of the tire. Just wondering if you have had a chance to use this on aggressive tread pattern tires? Thx I really have good luck with Perl for my tire dressing.

It can work for nabi tires but normally I'll just end up using an aerosol tire dressing for them as it's too much work. If I'm doing a coating though I will use that brush applicator for the coating and it does a good job. It can just be a little messy and it's hard to clean properly.

For trucks yes. But I prefer a water based dressing. Plus this application is not as messy. My husband gets annoyed by the overspray all over the driveway.
