MANTA FPV As nice as a new session would be it’s dead. It just didn’t sell well and having a separate manufacturing line for a smaller camera just cost more money in the end. That’s why they got rid of it. So just hope for the Hero 8 or the Max to be a great competitor and learn to maybe incorporate the current form factors.
Used to use 3 Black as a helmet cam but found it too fiddly so switched to another brand. Soon as they brought out the session, I was back to GoPro and was gutted when they discontinued it (esp after I went swimming in the sea and hadn’t shut the door properly 🤬)

Not really feeling anything bad about buying the 7th one in April, it seems to perform at 90% of what hero 8 is. I love my 7th and will not switch unless it breaks down (not even close at this point of usage) or I get a sponsorship from GoPro :D The 7th is really great and especially if you're buying your first GoPro, my advice is to go cheaper. It will fall, tumble, slide across asphalt, you can lose it easily in active environments. Once you get the skillset up and actually feeling the "ceiling" of options on the device, then i'd suggest you to swith to the newest and flashiest.
I think it would impact the ones who use their GoPro for vlogs, like i do, with their new video and media mods being available just to Hero 8. Thats the sucker punch for me.
I just bought this camera and it was the best purchase I have made in my entire life! The HyperSmooth is amazing! Now I'm waiting for my shorty grip to get here!
For my specifc use case, I hardly see gopro making as big of an improvement from hero 7 to hero 8. My first gopro was e hero 3 black, huuge improvement over pervoius gen. Switched to hero 4 black when they launched. Skipped the hero 5 and 6, not really that impressed mostly features I didn't need. Saw the hypersmooth and timewarp of hero 7 and had to have it. Not really seeing any reason to upgrade to the H8

They should add the disclaimer “we help capture your life: whether shit or fun - it is whatever you make of it”
This will be my 1st GoPro that I'll get in 2 weeks. HDR 4K 60fps ultra smooth compact water resistant wind noise reduction option and cheap rechargeable batteries. Even the latest most expensive smartphones don't tick all these boxes the GoPro 8 Black has.

I got this camera a few years ago near its release date. And my god what a camera! One of the greatest little things I’ve ever purchased! And even to this day it still lives up to be a fantastic little camera! ❤

There’s going to be a front facing screen attachment for the media frame. What’s likely going to be a sticking point is that the extra media frame and the front facing screen are going to be extra add-ons that’ll likely carry the high GoPro accessory price tax. Another possibly is if the front facing screen isn’t directly connected through electric contacts it could have lag issues.
@@BlazeGraffiti don't take it to swim tho 🤣👌. Every camera got its functions. I have a DSLR and a DJI ronin-s for it, DJI mavic pro, gopro hero 4b (want a new one tho). I can't take my DSLR to swim, but gopro can do. My gopro can't fly, the mavic does.
Hopefully the battery lasts longer in the weather the camera is built to operate it. Pointless when I have to keep my gopro in my jacket until that one wintery moment I want to record.
PC System requirements: Pentium 4 2.4 GHz. 4 GB of RAM. 200 MB of Hard Drive space. Internet Connection. A decent quad-core not older Than 5 years should render a 5 min clip in like 10-15 minutes max.
I fell for this once, never again! Another perfect example of expectations vs reality! 99.99% of users will never get this same results without post editing! Oh and did I mention that GoPro's are non-repairable? After their warranty is over they will just give you a discount if you purchase a new one.
Everyone knows that you don't buy any GoPro for low light....it will get by but I hope it's not a main focus. Heck even my Canon 80D in low, low light it not good at times. Maybe it they get a 1" sensor low light will get better

It won't. Battery life is dependent on resolution, frame rate, and processing. Full 4k 60 with hypersmooth is going to burn hot🔥
Hopefully the battery lasts longer in the weather the camera is built to operate it. Pointless when I have to keep my gopro in my jacket until that one wintery moment I want to record.

buy a refurbished hero6 instead and get reelsteady go :D way better then hypersmooth and only 250€, same resolutions, same slowmo just no hypersmooth

By digital lenses, it meant that you could “change the lense” without actually doing anything to the camera.

I fell for this once, never again! Another perfect example of expectations vs reality! 99.99% of users will never get this same results without post editing! Oh and did I mention that GoPro's are non-repairable? After their warranty is over they will just give you a discount if you purchase a new one.

I've been travelling for a week some days ago with Hero 7, and the very lack was it's low light impossibility🥴
you should try hero 1, the worst in low light, color, and dynamic range
@@PontiRamanta was guna say the hero 7 black in low light is pretty good, best bet is turning protune off and playing with settings for best results
Everyone knows that you don't buy any GoPro for low light....it will get by but I hope it's not a main focus. Heck even my Canon 80D in low, low light it not good at times. Maybe it they get a 1" sensor low light will get better
