Graham Parsons must be smiling...it's been a long long while since someone has been able to come along and write songs like this. Sierra is the best songwriter in the business...and has a voice, mojo, and outfit selection to match...and band. Luckily we saw her perform several times when filling a 120 person capacity venue was a big deal for her, and a few times since as bigger venues sell out fast. We knew she would just get bigger and better, and wanted in early. Absolutely timelessly gifted that fine lady is.
Can this Lady can pen a song or what? Not sure if Oliver contributed on this one, it seems like they do make a good team, but, my word! I have to believe if it were 1975 she'd have 5 of her tunes in the Billboard Country Top 10. I don't want to put her in box because she can't be defined, but the melodies, the hooks, the clever and simple elegance of the songs that universally connect with all types of people are the hallmarks of legendary songwriters. Plus that wonderful ruby-red voice and the company of stellar musicians she keeps. She's such a treasure that needs protecting at all cost. I'm so glad I stumbled onto her, I'm the better for it.
Nice clear recording here, Tom Riggs. I'm wondering - since you specify "Sycamore Session on the Creekside Stage" - does that mean she also played at a different NMF stage? (Came back now to say -Ok I clicked on "Tom Riggs" by your avatar and found "Jeremiah" from her evening set, on a different stage - answered my own question)
Nice setting, great band! Sierra Ferrell is something else!

She did play maintsage at the Snowfork stage on Saturday.
Sierra has a different speaking voice than singing, take for instance her pronunciation of her S's like sh's
😢is this a brand new song or an old one from her self recorded albums?
She's been playing it out this year, at least. I think she said it will be on the next album.
