So glad that this story popped up in my TH-cam feed. What a blessing to be sober.

This is truly wonderful, and I can relate, having had police intervention change the course of my life towards sobriety. Hats off to both Amy and Officer Hathaway for their accomplishments.

I was at almost five months sober when this video was uploaded to TH-cam. Now it's almost two and a half.
I'm grateful to have control of my life back and to wake up feeling excited for what awaits me instead of being sick!

That was a beautiful story. Two beautiful women helping each other out now for the rest of their lives. Doesn't get any better than that!

To the trooper wondering if shes in the right line of work.Any time you need a reminder of why you do this, just remember that even if this lady is the only one you help in your career, its worth it.Never stop doing your commendable job.Thank you for your service

What an encouraging story.. I was raised in Minnesota & miss it like crazy!! So very proud & happy for all of them… life isn’t easy sometimes
It’s not easy to pick yourself up & go on; but what an encouragement when we do!!

Trooper Hathaway, I know it’s been a rough few years for LE, but it’s not unwarrantable, but your actions here have all of the attributes we need in ‘peace officers’. Only those of you behind those badges have the power to make the changes needed

Sometimes it just takes one encounter and a few words to help someone change their life. That’s why I try to always be kind bc you never know what someone is going through and just a few words of encouragement could completely change the trajectory of their life.

You just never know what your words will do for someone. More than the words, the delivery. “Don’t do this to your daughter.” The word ‘daughter’ probably got her attention more than anything else, made her perk up and think about the fact that she was harming her daughter more than anything, the plea made her realize that this was something that would effect her life as well.
