Natalie safran has lowkey confirmed Jason Momoa as lobo way back in December when she posted photos from the Aquaman premiere. I wish we got a proper confirmation from james gunns since that's just pitch perfect casting imo.
Im really looking forward to see isabela merced as hawkgirl. I've been following her work for a while so im glad she got play a major role in a big movie like this.
Me and My mom and sister just watched the Dora movie just a couple months ago and I actually loved it. She did really good and at the end I was like, who was that girl I want her to do more stuff. I even kind of want to see her in something with the guy who plays monkey d luffy and the Live action, one piece

I feel like it is pretty obvious Superman won’t have the Peacemaker or The Suicide Squad level of humour. The age rating for Peacemaker was 18, and The Suicide Squad was 15. Superman, at max, will probably be a 12. So I can’t imagine Superman listing off a bunch of characters and the screaming “the f*cking c*nts from Riverdale!” Like Peacemaker did. The humour will hopefully hit, but won’t be as frequent or as crass as Peacemaker or The Suicide Squad.

People have been debating this online but people are split on whether or not Batman should have white eyes on the mask like in the cartoons. Do you think they should do it for the dcu version? And or the Batman version?
I'd like a mix of both. Have the lenses pop down and turn white when he goes into detective mode or something, and then let us see the eyes for the rest of the time so we get a better gauge of his emotions.

I get people don't like the ("rumored") booster gold casting, but then again it's not like we didn't have biases with casting choices that surprised us all. We can't forget the strong reactions from Heath Ledger, Robert Pattinson or even Ben Affleck. We'll have to wait and see how he delivers to have a proper opinion. I agree with Booster Gold. While I am slightly disappointed at the (yes, rumoured) casting, I’ll still probably enjoy the show. It won’t really affect anything major for me, but it will slightly annoy me. Having said this, this is the only casting I’ve ever been skeptical about. I just feel like there are too many differences between Kumail and Booster Gold, like the height, race and age. Although if he performs amazingly, I’ll be fine with it.
The difference being that those are all experienced actors who have proven their worth time and time again. Kumail has mostly starred in projects with poor reception, he plays the same character every time with little to no variation, he is far too old for the role and looks nothing like the character. If he somehow blows the world away and proves he is the perfect casting for BG, I'll be the first person to say it. But from where I'm standing, there is no reason to be excited by this casting, and we every reason to voice our concerns. All we can do is hope.
They'd be making a mistake if Selina didn't come back as "Catwoman". In the making of everyone clearly spoke that this is a pre-Catwoman world. She gave the movie juice in the first movie and I can see their relationship moving up to Bruce/Selina level, but at the same time delaying because she'll be the real Catwoman. I think she could mess him up pretty badly, but at the same time, if Bruce happens to reveal his identity to her, she could end up coming over to his side, like in the new comics.
Gunn said we wouldn't get a trailer this year but here's to hoping that on Christmas he decides to drop a couple of cool promo photos collected from editing in post production ;)
I looked at the time between the first trailer dropping for both GXK: A New Empire and Deadpool and Wolverine. My estimation is that we will get the first Superman trailer on January 27th 2025. I worked this out by seeing the difference between Deadpool and Wolverine’s release date (July 26th) and the first trailer drop which was February 11th. Superman will release 15 days before Deadpool and Wolverine (this is in the respective year, because D and W has already released) on July 11th 2025. So knock 15 days off of February 11th (because 26-11 🟰 15) and you’re left with January 27th. This is my estimation. I’m probably wrong

I understand the concerns about gunn's humor in a superman movie. I love both the humor and the heart in his movies so I trust the heart part for the superman movie, but as far as his humor I trust his ability to listen to other people around him. Im definitely curious about Catwoman's presence in Part 2. The first movie ends with her leaving Gotham, and rumor is that Penguin will end shortly before Part 2 begins. So idk if its enough time for Selina to be gone before bringing her back in a major way. I still think maybe she will be mostly absent in Part 2, with maybe a small cameo if Batman is lead to Bludhaven for some reason during the movie. Then perhaps will get her own series on Max later to go in depth with where she was and what she was doing during that time before returning in a bigger way for Part 3(hopefully).

What I don’t understand about the Booster Gold casting is why would James have cast an actor already for a project that isn’t even greenlit? It goes against a lot of things he has been saying. The theories of this character showing up in something else before is plausible but a not exactly a good idea. This is definitely one of those castings that should be announced. I personally hate it, racebending aside I am annoyed that all live action variations of the character have been played by older actors when in the comics Booster Gold is in his early 30s at most, he definitely shouldn’t be older than Superman.
I agree. While I’ll still watch and probably enjoy the show, I can’t get over the height, race and age differences. Booster Gold is 6’5, blonde haired, white and in his mid 20’s. Why cast a man who is 5’8, black haired, brown and in his mid 40’s? However if he performs amazingly, that will be enough for me, as long as they don’t race bend Batman or something like that, I’m fine

Kumail Nanjiani is just so off for Booster Gold. I know it is basically confirmed to be him as it is looking unlikely to be anyone else at this point but as a big Booster Gold fan that is just an L casting from me I'm afraid. Kraven trailer looks like gory fun. I know it won't be GREAT but if it can entertain me enough for an hour and half thats all I want.
I think isabela would've made a better batgirl. As for who Corenswet auditioned for, i think it was for the main villain who is a gangster and is also batgirls love interest.
The main villian was Firefly. Firefly worked for the gangster boss he would've been a secondary antagonist. Batgirls love interest is the son of the mob boss, not the boss himself.

marvel has turned into a huge blue ball fest where they have to make a reference to stuff no one remembers and make a bunch of openings for possible random spin offs (the new deadpool). Hopefully james gunn doesn't do that to DC. My hopes are not high.
James Gunn said something (I believe he did so don’t take my word fully) about not having each project be a direct continuation of a previous project. So you won’t have to have watched Creature Commandos to watch Peacemaker to watch Superman ect ect. He said something like, you can kind of jump in anywhere. Any post credit scene will probably be additional jokes of the character themselves or an extra scene setting up a sequel. It won’t connect to other projects releasing
So so you dislike the shared universe idea? lol. I would say you just shouldn't watch comic book movies then. These will always have connections an callbacks and the longer they go on the more you will get. I get people don't like the ("rumored") booster gold casting, but then again it's not like we didn't have biases with casting choices that surprised us all. We can't forget the strong reactions from Heath Ledger, Robert Pattinson or even Ben Affleck. We'll have to wait and see how he delivers to have a proper opinion. Also, WTH happened with Rhino's face!?
I agree with Booster Gold. While I am slightly disappointed at the (yes, rumoured) casting, I’ll still probably enjoy the show. It won’t really affect anything major for me, but it will slightly annoy me. Having said this, this is the only casting I’ve ever been skeptical about. I just feel like there are too many differences between Kumail and Booster Gold, like the height, race and age. Although if he performs amazingly, I’ll be fine with it.
The difference being that those are all experienced actors who have proven their worth time and time again. Kumail has mostly starred in projects with poor reception, he plays the same character every time with little to no variation, he is far too old for the role and looks nothing like the character.
If he somehow blows the world away and proves he is the perfect casting for BG, I'll be the first person to say it. But from where I'm standing, there is no reason to be excited by this casting, and we every reason to voice our concerns. All we can do is hope.

They'd be making a mistake if Selina didn't come back as "Catwoman". In the making of everyone clearly spoke that this is a pre-Catwoman world. She gave the movie juice in the first movie and I can see their relationship moving up to Bruce/Selina level, but at the same time delaying because she'll be the real Catwoman. I think she could mess him up pretty badly, but at the same time, if Bruce happens to reveal his identity to her, she could end up coming over to his side, like in the new comics.

I looked at the time between the first trailer dropping for both GXK: A New Empire and Deadpool and Wolverine. My estimation is that we will get the first Superman trailer on January 27th 2025. I worked this out by seeing the difference between Deadpool and Wolverine’s release date (July 26th) and the first trailer drop which was February 11th. Superman will release 15 days before Deadpool and Wolverine (this is in the respective year, because D and W has already released) on July 11th 2025. So knock 15 days off of February 11th (because 26-11 🟰 15) and you’re left with January 27th. This is my estimation. I’m probably wrong

I understand the concerns about gunn's humor in a superman movie. I love both the humor and the heart in his movies so I trust the heart part for the superman movie, but as far as his humor I trust his ability to listen to other people around him. Anyone who tells him "this joke, no". As long as he's open to hearing that and really listening to that, specially in the editing stage, I'm fine.

Im definitely curious about Catwoman's presence in Part 2. The first movie ends with her leaving Gotham, and rumor is that Penguin will end shortly before Part 2 begins. So idk if its enough time for Selina to be gone before bringing her back in a major way. I still think maybe she will be mostly absent in Part 2, with maybe a small cameo if Batman is lead to Bludhaven for some reason during the movie. Then perhaps will get her own series on Max later to go in depth with where she was and what she was doing during that time before returning in a bigger way for Part 3(hopefully).

What I don’t understand about the Booster Gold casting is why would James have cast an actor already for a project that isn’t even greenlit? It goes against a lot of things he has been saying. The theories of this character showing up in something else before is plausible but a not exactly a good idea. This is definitely one of those castings that should be announced.
I personally hate it, racebending aside I am annoyed that all live action variations of the character have been played by older actors when in the comics Booster Gold is in his early 30s at most, he definitely shouldn’t be older than Superman.

Why cast a man who is 5’8, black haired, brown and in his mid 40’s? The main villian was Firefly. Firefly worked for the gangster boss he would've been a secondary antagonist. Batgirls love interest is the son of the mob boss, not the boss himself.

marvel has turned into a huge blue ball fest where they have to make a reference to stuff no one remembers and make a bunch of openings for possible random spin offs (the new deadpool). Hopefully james gunn doesn't do that to DC. My hopes are not high.
James Gunn said something (I believe he did so don’t take my word fully) about not having each project be a direct continuation of a previous project. So you won’t have to have watched Creature Commandos to watch Peacemaker to watch Superman ect ect. He said something like, you can kind of jump in anywhere. Any post credit scene will probably be additional jokes of the character themselves or an extra scene setting up a sequel. It won’t connect to other projects releasing
