Hi. I have just picked up a vintage aluminium deck skateboard. It’s an Ozbozz Alutec board. It’s not especially light, but interesting. Is it worth keeping. .? Thank you
Too funny, at the 19:11 mark, the '89Santa Cruz Eric Dressen and the '88 Dogtown Micke Alba right below it were my listings. I also recognized the Chris Miller right above it as it was also relisted recently.
Good video! I had a Sims Staab deck in the attic - sold it a few years ago for about 150 bucks. It was pretty trashed too. I never see vintage boards at garage sales - you make a good point about this being a consumable.
Haha good video/info. I've been into vintage skateboarding in general for quite a while as well as being an amateur skater myself. We actually do find a lot of vintage skate stuff out here in KS as well as all over when we travel. Mainly 1960's and 1970's stuff not as much from the 1980's. Recently sold one with metal wheels in about an hour for $130 on Ebay. Great market to know! Fiberglass and metal wheels tend to be really good. A while back I found a homemade skateboard at an estate sale for 25 cents. Basically just a 1x6 with some metal rollerblading wheels tacked on it with nails. That sold at auction for just under $100. Some of my favorite riders from the 1980's were Christian Hosoi, Rodney Mullen, Daewon Song, and The Gonz! Good stuff! One of the main reasons that some of the 80's decks go for so much is because most were just thrown away!
I had a Powell perolta Skull and sword back in thee late 80's I used to steel thrasher and other skate mags ands dream of new boards. I imagine a mint deck from the 80a would have been owned by a foemer poser . lol. Acronyms are bad for search I hear . I had tracker trucks
The market is very complex I have at least 5 different brand new never used skateboards from the 80"s that you would be lucky to get $200 to 300 dollars for and two of them are tony hawk why is this?? The answer is there is a honey hole that has a ton of items from the 80's that was never sold so being that they had truck loads of these items they have very little value. I found 143 of the same skateboard the first 10 went for over $300 each in the end 3 years later I sold them for 50 bucks each. Yes you are 100% there is a ton of nos out there. Proof of how small the market really is there are only 13 comments in close to two years another bad sign is example santa cruz just made a jeff kendal vault issue they only made 137 of them you think if they could have sold more they wouldn't????

We get in some vintage skateboard stuff from time to time but nothing super crazy.

We've found good vintage skateboards in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota (The one we just sold), and Wisconsin...
Thanks for the info, I was unsure the status of skateboards found outside of California. Great info!
This is a great video my man! Love vintage skate gear!
Thanks for watching, this stuff is still out there.
Does anyone know how much I could get from VINTAGE KRYPTONICS CUSTOM SERIES SKATEBOARD WOOD DECK
Great question. Did you check ebay comps?
I found an complete 87 cab for $7 at a Jacksonville Fl flea market.
No way? Nice!

I wish I saved all my skateboarding stuff I had.

Thanks for the info and your right about the Skateboard Deck market being extremely volatile.
Dude how can you be selling for 30 years when your only 25
I'm almost 40 you dork.
If not 4 posers, zero boards w intact graphics would exist.
Not sure that is the main reason but sure, posers did add to the economy. lol.
