Iam really enjoying your teaching …. Learning things that are encouraging for me… I first learned how to quilt 10 years or so ago and perfection was always taught. It had me worrying and not enjoying. About 5 years ago a little quilt store opened close by and the ladies there brought the fun into quilting for me. Unfortunately life situations brought a closing to the shop. I’ve been watching My Sewing room and now you and have learned a lot so I can sew and have fun doing it ! ! Look forward to catching up on your videos and thank you for easy and encouraging learning!
Thank You for this perfect tutorial on binding. I so learned by watching this video. I learned the mistakes I was making as I mentioned in a previous comment. By rewatching this video I now can make Nice binding. Your instructions were clear and easy to follow I so much appreciate that Thank you again. 😁❤️
Wow! I'm a novice quilter, just quilting whenever the mood strikes. I've only made a couple of quilts with lots of time in between projects, so I thought I'd look on-line to refresh my memory about binding a quilt - and I found your video. Your instructions are so clear and informative, I learned a lot, and now I feel more confident about finishing a Christmas Tree Skirt I'm making for my Son and Daughter-in-Law for Christmas. Thank you so much for your skilled, insightful information and instructions! You're a fantastic teacher.
I just discovered you, and I absolutely love your videos, excellent teaching! and the Bernina just makes things better. Thank you and have a Merry Merry Christmas!
Awesome Video, love the additional steps of the end pocket being done first rather than doing all the math and cutting at the end. Also love the sewing off the corner at a diagonal! This really helps and so glad I watched before tackling yet another project. Feel empowered truly! Also LOVE the corner triangles for hanging before finishing and then throwing in the towel with crazy stuff on the back! Thanks Loretta!
Loretta, like you, I used to finish my bindings by hand and they did look beautiful. But my eyesight is not what it used to be, and I learned a lot from this well presented video. So thank you, I'm sure I can find something in my sewing room that needs a binding!

Thanks so much for your tutorial. Maybe I missed how wide you cut your binding? 2 1/2 inches?
2-1/4"
What is purpose of walking foot?
The walking foot is when you are sewing through multiple layers of fabric so that your fabric doesn't shift and pucker.
I'm not a "newbie quilter" but corners still scare me! 😂
